We had a fun snowboarding trip to Apex Mountain, located near Penticton in the southern Okanagan Valley in British Columbia. It was quite warm during our visit (10 degrees Celsius), so we stuck to the soft, fast groomers and enjoyed the sunshine. I'm looking forward to returning again next year when there's more snow. The glades and black diamond tree runs look super fun, but there wasn't enough snow during our visit. On the plus side, we had the entire mountain to ourselves. The longest wait time for the chair lift was two minutes. We covered over 100km of terrain in 6 hours of snowboarding.
The Village at Apex Mountain near Penticton, British Columbia. Solid spring conditions on the slopes yesterday. Heading up again shortly. Note -- if you're confused about us sharing photos from California and Apex Mountain at the same time, it's because we're on separate trips this week.
Awesome snowboarding session this morning on the slopes of Cypress Mountain. It was tough getting out of bed so early with the time change, but it was so worth it. By the time the crowds showed up, our legs were burning and it was time go. How great are these mountain views of Howe Sound?
Cleveland Dam after a light dusting of snow. We visited this spot a few months ago when it had been raining heavily and the water was flowing so fiercely that you couldn't see the canyon floor. Scroll down our profile page to see that photo for comparison. Can you see the heart shaped pool? I didn't notice it until Braydon pointed it out to me.
