#Repost@giampaolosgura with @get_repost ・・・ ・・・ Break. Free. From. Plastic. Because. The. Struggle. Is. REAL. 😭 How can we help? 1. Refuse plastic and paper bags. Bring your own eco bag. (Think of this video as you are about to reach for a plastic bag!) (Why also paper bags? They have a higher carbon footprint than plastic, so avoid both plastic and paper if you can.) If it’s a small purchase, throw it in your back pack or hand bag or hold on to it. 2. Refuse plastic straws. Drink straight from the glass. Or bring your own reusable straw. 3. Refuse disposable coffee cups (paper cups lined with plastic + plastic lids). Bring your own cup. Have your coffee in a mug “for here”. If you need a disposable cup, refuse the lid (if you’re sure you won’t spill your coffee). 4. Refuse bottled water or refrain from buying bottled beverages. (If it’s soft drinks, they’re not exactly good for you.) Bring your reusable bottle and refill at clean and safe water stations. 5. Refuse plastic utensils. Have your own utensils (in your bag, desk, locker, car). If you’re having food delivered to your home/workplace, let the staff know not to include plastic utensils. 6. Refuse plastic food containers. Have a container handy (in your bag, desk, locker, car) for take out food or leftovers. Order just enough, so you don’t have leftovers or food waste. You can always order more if you’re still hungry. 7. Refuse unnecessary packaging. Choose unpackaged items. 8. Eat fruits or make your own snacks instead of buying chips and candy at the supermarket or convenience store. These are just some tips to get you started. Hope this will get you thinking about your daily plastic consumption and the effects it has on the environment. 🌏 Video by Julian Jordan, reposted from @dominicpurcell@underwaterstuffs.#breakfreefromplastic#beatplasticpollution#ayokongplastik#zerowaste#zerowastePH#zerobasura#thestruggleisreal#greenliving#sustainableliving#sustainable#letsgogreenforlife#environment#ecofriendly#ecoconscious#earth#ocean#asia#philippines#pilipinas#filipino#pinoy#pinay#itsmorefuninthephilippines#life#death#saveourseas#savetheplanet#globalgoals#repost#zerowaste

🖼 Tel Aviv Museum of Art is a municipal museum, one of Israel's leading artistic and cultural institutions. The museum comprises various departments: from the 16th century to present day. In addition to its extensive program of permanent and changing exhibitions, the museum offers a vibrant selection of programs and activities for adults, youth and children: concerts, classes, lectures, guided tours, workshops, and more. 🖼 The museum was envisioned and founded in 1932 by the first Mayor of Tel Aviv, Meir Dizengoff, in his private home on Rothschild Boulevard. Since then, it has changed locations and developed significantly. The museum's collection, which originally comprised only a few dozen items, has grown steadily – in great part through generous donations by collectors and artists, and thanks to the dedication and support of the museum's local and international committees and friends. . . . . . #magritte#picasso#vangogh#calder#modigliani#pissarro#matisse#monet#painting#fineart#arte#artsy#fineartphoto#contemporaryart#fineartphotography#fineart#artcollector#myart#instaartwork#abstractart#artnews#artgallery#instaartoftheday#modernart#instaartistic#contemporary#fineartphg#insta_israel#tourwithorit#telavivcity

As per the @israel21c website: “Israelis really love their kalanit (anemone), rakefet (cyclamen), narkis (narcissus), tourmus (lupine) and other wildflowers. They love them so much that they almost picked them into extinction, but in the past 50 years legislation and education have assured that springtime in Israel is a riot of color just about everywhere you look. The Cave of the Patriarchs or Cave of Machpelah is located in the heart of the old city of Hebron and is the holy resting place of our Patriarchs and Matriarchs and a holy place for Jews, Muslims and Christians. The cave and adjoining field were purchased by Abraham as a burial plot. Machpelah means "doubled" in Hebrew. One reason given is that four famous couples are buried here: Adam and Eve, Abraham and Sara, Isaac and Rebecca and Jacob and Leah. “Genesis 23” . . . . . . #israel#visitisrael#holylandpics#beautifuldestinations#beautifulplaces#depthsofearth#guardiantravelsnaps#majestic_earth#youmustsee#globetrotter#israelinstagram#travelisrael#igisrael#israeligram#israel_best#israel_times#ig_israel#sheisnotlost#wearetravelgirls#instatraveling#sidewalkerdaily#girlswhotravel#femaletravel#thetravelwomen#instapassport#israel🇮🇱#beautifulhotels#liveforthestory

Old Jaffa Port was the ancient port of the city of Jaffa, out of which modern day Tel Aviv has grown. The Old Jaffa Port is one of the oldest ports in the world, notably being the port from which Jonah set off in the famous Biblical story of Jonah and the Whale. Today the port is used mostly by local fishermen. Nowadays it has been developed as a cultural attraction, many of the old hangars have been converted into spaces hosting exhibitions of art and photography as well as restaurants and bars. It gives a nice break from the city life of Tel Aviv. This photo was taken by me and I had the honor of @hertalesofvisuals to use one of her new presets that will be coming out in the next couple of weeks! Go check out and follow her profile so you won’t miss out on her new presets! I couldn’t resist taking this photo of this amazing view of the Tel Aviv skyline. I have been asked in the past if Tel Aviv has skyscrapers, well you can see all of them in the photo! 😊 our tallest skyscraper is 238.5 meters (782ft), which can be seen in the photo. The view is quite far but so beautiful with the green fields and blue blue sky! What a day! What is your favorite skyline? Please let me know.

Among the city streets of old #jaffa is a hidden work of Ran Morin's known as the Floating Orange Tree. 🍊 Ran Morin (born 1958) is an Israeli artist 👩‍🎨 known for his statues involving full-sized living trees. Much of his work is found in Israel. If he lives in New York Finished in 1993, this is a small orange tree that is elevated off of the ground by a large earthenware jug hung by metal chains from the walls of houses nearby. The tree is growing out of the pitcher, trying to break it. Morin sought to emphasize the increasing world of separation between man and nature, as "creatures that grow in containers." This statue is hung only a foot or so off of the ground - enough to see its shadow, but not so high that it seems about to fall down. . . . . . . . #wearetravelgirls#sheisnotlost#darlingescapes#ladiesgoneglobal#dametraveler#globelletravels#girlslovetravel#sidewalkerdaily#femmetravel#thetravelwomen#girlsborntotravel#girlsmeetglobe#girlsvsglobe#travellushes#lifewelltravelled#letsgoeverywhere#girlswhotravel#sheexplores#abmtravelbug#traveldeeper#myfavtourlina#radgirlslife#explorerbabes#timeoutsociety#followmytravel#jaffa#sculptures#steel#telavivyafo#artist

‏The jolly festival of Purim is celebrated every year on the 14th of the Hebrew month of Adar (late winter/early spring). Purim 2019 begins on Wednesday night, March 20, and continues through Thursday, March 21 (March 22 in Jerusalem). It commemorates the salvation of the Jewish people in ancient Persia from Haman’s plot “to destroy, kill and annihilate all the Jews, young and old, infants and women, in a single day,” as recorded in the Megillah (book of Esther). Purim Observances * Reading of the Megillah (book of Esther), which recounts the story of the Purim miracle. This is done once on the eve of Purim and then again on the following day. * Giving money gifts to at least two poor people. * Sending gifts of two kinds of food to at least one person. * A festive Purim feast, which often includes wine or other intoxicating beverages. ‏It is also customary for children (and adults, if they desire) to dress up in costumes as seen with this mother and child posing to get their photo taken in an alley in Jaffa. . . . . . . #VisitIsrael#holyland #holylandpics#israel_view#israel_photo#travelisrael#oldjaffa#israeltravel#westernwall#israeli_moments#israel_best#travelpostdaily#travelpartner#travelplanet#travelpro#explorecreate#travlrepost#cntraveler#traveltagged#borntotravel#citizenfemme#travellikeagirl#sidewalkerdaily#journeysofgirls
