Esta práctica milenaria es muy buena para el ser humano. El Yoga puede transformar tu cuerpo, y también transforma tu mente, lo cual está demostrado por Harvard y otras prestigiosísimas instituciones. Hay un proceso recíproco: la mejoría mental redunda en el beneficio físico, y dicho beneficio físico es bueno para la mente. Un buen estado físico y mental es bueno espiritualmente. Los beneficios mentales y anímicos del Yoga terapéutico son: Te sientes mejor, más vital y más alegre. Sensación de equilibrio, y tranquilidad.  Se trabaja el equilibrio emocional, para que no nos afecten tanto las cosas, y poder verlas con objetividad. Además se gana en paz interior. Standing up from a sitting position, climbing stairs, and staying in an erect position are all supported by the gluteus maximus. . . . Some of us have weak gluteus muscles because of - as it was referred in previous post - our sedentary lives. Many jobs now involve people sitting down for a big part of their day, or after a long day of work we go home and sit on the couch. . . . Learning to activate our glutes is important so that we can strengthen them. Strong glute muscles are extremely important as these muscles can have a major impact on our overall body strength: glutes support our core, help to support a range of exercises and compound movements, as well as help avoid muscle imbalances which can lead to decreased mobility. . . . “The idea is not to try and change the thoughts, but to change our perspective of thinking” - this idea has helped me SO much ! You can’t completely control all the thoughts running through your mind but you CAN control the way you look at yourself and your thoughts. And you CAN make healthy changes in your life that will push yourself into a more positive direction. You always have the opportunity to look down on yourself or think negatively about a situation...and if this is the case you ALWAYS have the opportunity to look at yourself or a current situation positively. . This may be easier said than done....just try it though. Each day give yourself a few minutes to think about all of the things you are grateful for. Give yourself a couple more minutes to just sit in silence as you imagine your whole body being filled with sunlight, easing away all your worries and tension. When a negative thought pops up, refocus on the idea of a blue sky and bright sunshine filling up each part of your body and melting away any tension, stress or negativity. Do you consider yoga as a strength training?
Well
Can we get stronger with yoga? Do you consider yoga as a strength training? Well... I think it depends. There are so many different ways to practice, like with asanas such as Warrior poses, Planks, arm balances and inversions, we are in effect “weight training” as we support our own body weight in gravity. Chaturanga Dandasana is the core asana to train the upper body, abs, back, inner thighs and even muscles in the feet. Dynamic styles of yoga such as Ashtanga and Vinyasa build strength through repeated Sun Salutations and Vinyasas. Don’t rush through your vinyasa, challenge yourself and try staying in poses for up to 5 rounds of breath, and up to 10 deep breaths for arm balances like Crow and Handstand. If you are in the beginning of your strong yoga path try these strengthening poses and hold them till sweat starts dripping off your face and your body starts shaking: Plank Dolphin Downward Facing Dog Warrior Poses Chair Pose  Boat Pose  Lunges . . . What do you think? Don’t be fooled by instagram. Nobody sticks to every good intention they send out. Nobody has a perfect routine where they feel accomplished everyday. Nobody is perfect. Honestly, I’ve been rarely practicing yoga. I’m so out of it now that just doing ten minutes at a time feels a bit sticky. I love yoga and came to it because it feels incredible. Without expecting, its helped with my neck pain and definitely levels out my emotions. So if you feel like you’re slacking with a habit. I encourage you to give it ten minutes of your day today. I’m feeling super motivated to post more flows and get back into this thing called yoga! - ✨🎷 @zygi_sax
