Happy #weighinwednesday ๐Ÿ˜Š Iโ€™m down 1.6 and quite surprised as there were a couple snaccidents this week but I was consistent with tracking along with water intake (~100 oz/day) and got in my 30 minutes of exercise each day. . My exercise at this point is extremely moderate and most days itโ€™s a 30 minute walk on the treadmill at work while I watch @netflix If Iโ€™m feeling inspired at home Iโ€™ll use @aaptiv or a workout vid from YouTube that has BEGINNER or NO WEIGHTS REQUIRED plastered all over. Although, I was off marathon training for a bit, recovering from a recent ultra-I can never miss this one ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š. It is a run close to my heart as it passes through my home turf between 23km -25 km mark!!! All the cheer there makes me feel so amazing, almost like a celebrity ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ I must thank @abhirunning for running 40km of the total 42.195 km with me. Also, thank you @ajit_freedom for doing your 1:32 half marathon and then joining me for the last toughest 5km. My inspiration medal and the finisher medal go to these two!! Mother and father for waiting for me with my favourite drink near home. When I first started working out I was with a group of people and they
Day 023 # When I first started working out I was with a group of people and they were all doing box jumps and I was doing step ups. I wanted to do what everyone else was doing. So I decided to try a box jump on a 12inch box. I am not going to lie it was horrible. I couldn't even jump on the box. When I tried to jump it was definitely not a jump but more like a skip where one foot landed and then the other. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't get both feet to jump at the same time. # I was determined to get it. It took a while but I finally got it. I was able to jump on a 12 inch box and do more than one rep. Now I can jump on a 18inch box and even jump off of the box. It didn't happen over night though. I had to work hard at it. I had to do it over and over and over again until I got it. There were times I got so frustrated I wanted to give up. I felt like I was never going to be able to get it. I could have chosen to listen to those negative thoughts and give up but I didn't. I chose to push through it and tell myself that yes I can. # Whatever it is that you are trying accomplish keep going. Tell yourself that you can! Today is a day that I could have opted to not workout (since itโ€™s a rest day in
Today is a day that I could have opted to not workout (since itโ€™s a rest day in LIIFT4), and itโ€™s a day that it sounded SO good to do just that. Itโ€™s cold outside. Im tired from my workout yesterday. And the list of excuses could go on. However, I knew that Ashley and I had plans to meet at the gym, and that motivated me to get up, lace up my sneaks, and get to the gym. โ€ข โ€ข Accountability is a powerful thing, and Iโ€™m certain that it brings results faster. Why? Because not only did having the accountability help me show up at the gym, but it helped me show up at the machines. Ashley and I pushed each other to get that last rep in. To bump up our weights. To give it all we had until we felt like we had nothing left. I even showed her some LIIFT4 moves with the free weights! โ€ข โ€ข Sure, my arms are jello now, and just holding my phone is hard; but we just killed a 2 hour workout like it was nothing! And that, my friends, is the power of accountability, AND thatโ€™s how results happen. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

The first month of my journey five years ago I tried to eat whatever I wanted and only do the elliptical machine at the gym three times a week for 30 minutes with the sweat suit on. I still wrote down my meals though thinking I was really doing something! Imagine how shocked I was when the first week went by and I thought the scale would at least say 2 pounds down. That thing did not budge a bit. After three weeks of doing that I kept whining saying I think itโ€™s my thyroid or I must have some type of hormonal issue that causes me not to lose weight. And although that is definitely true for a lot of women that was not my case. I was just lazy! I was doing the bare minimum trying to get major results. It wasnโ€™t until I realized dang! Iโ€™m going to have to push a lot harder than this to look different. Thatโ€™s exactly what I did. I pushed. I persisted. I cried. I struggled. I fought. I whined. I sacrificed. But I never gave up.
