In the 15-1700’s it was commonplace to boil your turkey for thanksgiving because ovens were usually only used for baking and it cost more resources to use an oven. Yesterday I booked another all expenses paid trip for Trent and I to...PUNTA CANA!🌴 One of the perks of being a top coach in the company is the ability to register early! We went to the Riviera Maya to the Unico all inclusive resort and it was so magical..like a dream! These success trips are so special...the time alone with Trent is everything. . Before coaching we rarely traveled. We went on 1 real vacation on an airplane in almost 10 years. As a nurse and law enforcement officer we worked rotating shifts, holidays, nights, weekends and didn't have much time off. . In the last 3.5 years, coaching has invited us to Nashville, New Orleans, Indianapolis, the Dominican Republic, Riviera Maya Mexico, Los Angeles, St. George, and we're heading to the Bahamas this March on a cruise! . I love being able to pursue a career that gives me so many experiences, memories, learning, joy, that brings so many amazing people into my life that I get to help be healthier, happier & do what I do, provide for my family and travel in the process! I love that this allows me MORE time with my boys and sweetheart. . CALORIES BURNED VS. NOT EATEN ___ “I’ll just burn it off later.” You probably won’t, though. People tend to say things like this while they indulge in a bit of extra food. Let’s just say for example that you treat yourself to an extra slice of pizza. A regular sized slice of pepperoni pizza would be in the ballpark of 300 calories. An average 160 pound male would need to run 2-3 MILES (depending on pace) to burn that amount of calories. Is that worth it? Perhaps. For me, absolutely not haha. ___ Now, this is an extremely simplified example, so keep in mind that factors like age, LBM, and pace have profound effects on calories burned per unit time. In any case, it seems that preventing overconsumption by controlling appetite and developing better eating habits would be a more practical solution than trying to compensate by burning extra calories. ___ Interested in coaching? Found some goodies at the store today.. I never realized they had so many flavors of my favorite brownie bars! I noticed because they had a cart of them on sale for $1 in the front of the store. 🥰 ✨ Breakfast was a banana & an equate vanilla protein shake iced coffee - 2sp ✨ Lunch was frito pie with ff sour cream & ff cheddar cheese - 5sp ✨ Snack - I had to😆 - a fiber one birthday cake brownie bar - 4sp ✨ Supper was turkey tacos with ole extreme wellness shells, lettuce, ff cheddar cheese, ff sour cream and a side of Spanish rice and corn - 6sp ✨ Dessert was another fiber one bar but this time, I tried the mint chocolate one - so good! - 4sp ✨ I felt like I ate a lot today but I ended at 21sp 🔵 and drank more than my daily recommended amount of water 💦 yasssss🙌🏻 coming off shark week and a loss, I’m feeling great!
