Week one is in the books and I'm already seeing big differences! I took these week 1 progress pictures yesterday and it got me even more pumped for the journey ahead. If this is only 1 week, I can't wait to see the full 80 days and then wherever I go from there! Some other big differences I'm seeing are higher energy, less negative body ache, no stomach cramping or bloating. The energy thing is really huge for me because I used to get home around 6, plop on the couch and not move until bedtime. Now when I get home, I have the energy to play with my son, get done some cleaning or cooking or even just take some time to do things I enjoy but have been neglecting. I am still struggling with my sugar cravings, especially because I've given in to 1 or 2, but I'm ironing that out slowly and always making progress. I got so much accomplished, remember the laundry from last weekend it, has been put away as well as this weeks laundry 🧺 Yes, it’s all done! . Meal prepping was also a success. I even had time to attempt making sweet potato chips. The kids wanted lemon 🍋 scones. The roast I baked was a bit on the dry side but both kids gave me 👍🏼👍🏼 I tend to not use too much salt or spices, but I have been more adventurous with seasoning. . Late workouts completed and I feel super proud of myself and all the ladies in our accountability group. We completed an entire week of workouts that challenge us both physically and mentally. 🙌🏼 . Even though it’s only been a week, I can start feeling the change in my body and energy level. Plus 2 pounds have been shed. It might not be much, but slowly and steady is better for me and my nutrition has been well balanced. I have not raided the pantry because of boredom hunger or not balanced meals. . Week one is DONE!! I sweat a lot during each workout, but doubling up?! Oooh wee! I'M SOAKED AND I STINK!! 😳🤢😱💀 . . I ended up skipping yesterday because my dinner date ran late and my body was tired from 1. Overeating 2. Drinking 3. Adjusting to a new wake up time... . . Most people would use these excuses to stop their fitness journey entirely NO, MA'AM!! Not me! I doubled up my workouts today-- not to punish myself, but to make sure I stay on track. Because I made a commitment to myself to complete this program... And as much as @shaunt is whooping my ass and I want throw myself on the floor like a toddler and give up sometimes, IT'S ONLY 20MIN PER WORKOUT!! The time will pass anyway, so why not be productive and do something my body will thank me for? Quand on dit que c’est rien que 20 minutes c’est beaucoup plus facile de ne pas chocker et surtout donner son 100% même si c’est tough! On s’en doutait ben que Shaun T ne nous ferait pas faire du petit zumba sur step! Les moves sont hot 🙌🏻🔥, fun et surtout efficace en ta!! Jamais avant j’aurai pu dire aimé l’entraînement, dire que c’est l’entraînement à la maison qui m’a permis aimer bouger et par le fait même m’a permis de m’aimer, aimer mon corps et avoir une meilleur confiance en moi! 💕

I’ve honestly never listened to the trainers in the programs I’ve done. I’m just being honest, until @shaunt I had my music cranked and the trainer muted lol . Not sure why I chose now, why I chose him🤷‍♀️ but I’m glad I did. Everyday he keeps it real and keeps pushing me ‼️ Day 6 week 1 is a wrap💯 got all the workouts in but unlike some of my groups I didn’t add in any bonus workouts. See I’ve had the head pain back since the 10th, sure it’s let up a bit on a day or so but it was very much there yesterday and several others 😮 but my day wasn’t run by it. I dictate how my day goes. I’ve learned a lot dealing with this issue and other major hurdles I’ve overcome in life.... that this is only one part of my day, only one part of the big picture! I’m not going to let whatever the negative aspect is be the only aspect to my day. Omg I couldn’t even imagine if the only thing I focused on were the bad/ unhappy ones🤔 Sure there was a time in my life that all i survived on was chaos: it was unhealthy for any living being. But my mind was not run with a clear mind, A change had to occur 👈🏻many actually and today I wake grateful. I mean come on I have shit I deal with that’s not positive but it’s how you let it affect you and if you will make it a positive or negative lasting effect. Today things are far from perfect but I keep it in check. I know many of these things shall pass. I know that I am stronger mentally and physically than prior years. I know I’m worth putting forth the best effort to keep me here for a long time..... Tomorrow is a rest day & I'm totally fine with that hahaa😜 you may be thinking why is she making a big deal about 1 week of workouts? And yeah 1 week of workouts doesn't sound like a lot, but let me explain... Before I started my journey, I would work out one or two days and then stop. Then, get mad that I stopped. Then, I would say well, whats the point I already screwed this up...AGAIN. Then, I would go eat something that was full of total crap & for those few minutes of eating whatever I was at the time, it comforted me. That's the truth. Real & raw. I KNEW what I was eating was terrible, but did I do a freakin thing about it? NOPE. well, I might of done one thing....went back for more 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ So, giving my all into this program (workouts & nutrition) makes me so proud. This week has been filled with ALOT of stuff that could of easily made me say forget it and stop. For the first time, I put all of those emotions into my workouts! That's huge for me & I will celebrate that! 🎉 You are capable of SO much more than you give yourself credit for. You have to push the fear of failure to the side, because guess what guys? Failure is inevitable. It's a part of life!! BUT that doesn't mean you don't give something your all and TRY! If I let the fear of failure stop me from starting my journey, I WOULDN'T be where I am now. Just think, if you start today, your life could look a thousand times different than it does now. We maxed out in the weight room💪 along with two more lifting sessions with our strength/volunteer coach @vanalstynechris. Lastly, we finished our week off with some myofascial release with our Yogi instructor @mbrumberg13🧘 - But that's just the physical piece- can't forget to mention how much we worked on our mental🤯 game! And I’ve realized if I don’t workout in the mornings before work I’m probably not getting a workout in that day (yesterday was a prime example of that 😫) But that just meant I had to put the work in today and since the workouts are only 20 minutes I knew doing both wasn’t going to take a big chunk of my day.. 👍🏼 Am I proud of my results.. probably not, but I’m excited to see my progress in the coming weeks. And dang, does it feel good to COMMIT to a program and stick to it. • I won’t lie, I was a little worried if 20 minutes was going to be enough to get in a good workout. I should know by now to never underestimate Shaun T. 20 minutes is plenty of time to get in a good workout. Ask my just about every part of my body. I am sore as heck this week from all the different types of movements I haven’t been exposed to before. • I can already feel my body changing. I am down one pound (maybe to you that’s not alot, but its  victory in my book) and have noticed a spike in my energy. Week 1 done 💪🏼!!!! One of the hardest weeks I’ve put in since I started working out! But probably one of the most motivating! : I was challenged daily by new workouts that I wasn’t comfortable with! I didn’t know the moves. I wasn’t sure what I’d gotten myself into! - But each day brought me new accomplishments within myself! I really don't get his faces. What I asked for was a celebratory selfie because we both completed our first week of our 20 minutes a day workout program this morning! Yay! But his face looks...angry....I guess? 😂 Well he may never take a normal photo but I am super proud of him for sticking out his first week and losing 7 pounds already! Me, I have not weighed in for this week because my health condition is causing me some major digestive issues like extreme bloating, which I figure means fluid retention that will make the scale inaccurately reflect weight and just upset me. 🤷‍♀️ The scale is less important than other factors anyway. This week I will be going completely gluten and dairy free, keeping animal protein to once a day, cutting out refined added sugar and focusing on whole foods. This is what I think it will take to heal, according to my research so far. Plus, we just tried the Emeals app for the first time and I am super excited about it! We chose the Mediterranean plan this week, it gave me a week of dinner recipes and allowed me to send the items I needed off the shopping list straight to Walmart for grocery pick up. WEEK ONE DONE ✅ • I’ve had two items that weren’t reset approved because I forgot my meals a couple of times and had to improvised. Each time I picked clean foods with well balanced macronutrients so that I stayed full. • I’ve grown to like broccoli over the last seven days, I can’t imagine not eating fresh, raw veggies on the daily and my body is starting to crave them. • My after meal bloat has been almost eliminated, I’ve been sleeping deeper, and honestly my body just feels so much more alive. • Bonus? Im down almost four pounds 😉 • I can’t wait to start week two tomorrow!
