BARBELL SQUAT Master your squat technique before you start increasing weight and aid in injury prevention! Tips: - Aim for proper warm-up and stretching before. - Start by using light(wooden,plastic) bar,gradually increasing weight by using olympic (20kg) bar. - Keep your feet shoulder width apart having your toes SLIGHTLY turned out. - Keep your shoulder blades together and chest up. - Look in front of you(do not lower your chin while dropping down) -Keep the bar resting on your traps. -Start with deep breath, moving your hip backwards-slowly drop down until u get your quads parallel to floor(having your knees behind your toes!) while holding your breath(it helps to keep your core firm). -Keeping your chin up, maintaining upright posture(feeling pressure on the front of your heels rather than on your toes!) rise up,breathing out on the top. -Do not increase the weight until you are comfortably(correctly) able to perform 10-12 reps. -Enjoy💪😎 #exercise#fitness#squats#barbellworkout#barbelsquats#injuryprevention#personaltraining#sportstherapy#stayactive#exercisecorrection#exercisesafely#legsworkout#gluteworkout#posteriorchainexercises#putney

Banded leg press for the win 😏🍑 - These two videos are me doing a less press with and without the bands for comparison. Without the bands felt so much lighter lol. I’m also using a wide stance for more hamstring activation - Using resistance bands on a leg press gives you more power and explosiveness. This particular band adds 90 lbs of resistance to the machine. The eccentric portion of the lift is the hardest part because the bands try to pull the platform down on top of you. Last set of 8s from yesterday at 120kg/265lbs ~6 I, for a long time, had this bad ego problem with bench. Once I was on the cusp of a 400lb bench press I pretty much wouldn’t do rep work under 300lbs unless it was a stupid variation. I’m glad I finally stopped being a dumbass and just did the proper work I was prescribed. Don’t let your ego get in the way of your progress, that lead to a years worth of injuries that set me back god knows how long. Trust me, no one else really cares how much weight is on the bar. Drugi tydzień zrealizowany, zamierzony progress również. Wszystko idzie stopniowo w dobrym kierunku. Aktualnie największą wagę przykładam do naprawy, techniki a na końcu siły. Ten drugi aspekt prowadzi do realizacji pierwszego, dlatego jest dla mnie najważniejszy. Z pewnością nie jest idealnie i nie będzie, ale staram się jak najlepiej doskonalić technikę. Nie operuje dużymi obciążeniami ze względu na aktualne cele treningowe, z tygodnia na tydzień oczywiście zwiększając ilość serii, zwiększam również minimalnie ciężar. Na tyle, aby technika była zachowana. Niespełna trzy tygodnie temu doskwierał mi ból, który nie pozwalał na komfortowe wykonywanie wielu ćwiczeń, między innymi przysiadów. Dzisiaj jestem w stanie je robić bez bólu, bądź z minimalnym bólem przy słabszej pracy brzuchem. To jest dla mnie największy sukces. Zdaje sobie sprawę, że ciężka praca oraz odpowiednio dobrany trening spowoduje jeszcze większą poprawę. Wszystko za sprawą @doktorkoks96, za co jestem cholernie wdzięczna. Wie co robi i robi to naprawdę dobrze. Trzeci i czwarty tydzień będzie dla mnie zdecydowanie cięższy niż dwa ubiegle, jednak mam nadzieję, że uda mi się zrealizować wszystkie zamierzenia. Nie poddaje się i działam dalej. But theres generally very little stopping people from doing home workouts and exercises in the sitting room or garden. It’s a way for you to shock your muscles and also make some gainz. So in these vids, I’m doing box squats or whatever you want to call them and some stiff legs. However, you still want to incorporate you heavy lifts, such as the squats.
