Juice cleanses give me so much life, so much to reflect on, and so much presence brought to me. Being in the moment of life here and now because it’s so easy to miss that. To worry about tomorrow or past makes you immobile and causes more stress. I juggle so many things at the same time and there’s so much to be aware of in life and I’ve noticed when I do these juice cleanses and detox I get an uplift of life and the now that makes everything just the way it’s suppose to be. I never do these detoxes for weight loss I do it purely for health reasons. 14th day of my juice detox and ready to enjoy all the fruits and veggies life has to offer 🌱 My world of letting my heart lead I let as I always have been. #rawvegan#plantbased
Day 40 [PL⤵️] . And the last of juice fasting. It was an amazing time. I didn't plan how many days I can persevere. I found that I'll listen to my body but I didn't think that I can do as many as 40 days. I'm grateful for this. Most of the time I feel really great. After every juice I've got a lot of energy, almost every day I trained and sometimes even went to the gym and trained hard. I went through many changes. Of course there were a few harder days in which I feel very tired but it's normal while detoxification. So I will slowly break the fast and add solid food. In the future I'll repeat repeatedly because It was beautiful experience ❤ . Dzień 40 I ostatni postu na sokach. To był niesamowity czas. Zaczynając ten detoks nie planowałam ile dni wytrzymam. Stwierdziłam że posłucham własnego ciała i będę pić soki dotąd ile dam radę. Nie sądziłam że wytrwam aż tyle, ale udało się i jestem wdzięczna za to. Przez większość czasu czułam się naprawde świetnie, po każdym wypitym soku miałam dużo energii, prawie codziennie ćwiczyłam a czasem nawet chodziłam na siłownię. Przeszłam wiele zmian, z którymi może się kiedyś podzielę. Oczywiscie było kilka cięższych dni w których coś bolało i bylam bardzo zmęczona, ale to normalne przy oczyszczaniu. Więc już powoli będę wychodzić z postu i wprowadzać stałe posiłki. Na pewno powtórzę nieraz sokowanie bo to naprawdę piękne doświadczenie ❤

I’ve been juicing for the past 12 days and wow it’s been great and detoxifying to say the least mentally and physically! I feel all kinds of good: clear mind, brain fog is gone, have so much more focus and that sluggish tiredness feel is vanished. No bloating, clear and tight skin! My organs feel brand new. Whether it’s putting your education on hold or taking time off from work or having to disengage from the quickening of our world just to keep afloat, I feel you. I remember being in high school, going through the beginnings of my illnesses. Some included EBV/mono, extreme anxiety, and a severe depression I couldn’t pinpoint the cause of. I missed quite a bit of school because of this, which lead to bullying. I was called “the weakest link of my class,” among other painful things. I felt so worthless and alone. I still have dreams about it to this day. Even now (definitely now) years later, I still feel like I’m not enough or that I’m so far behind that I’m not where I’m supposed to be. These are moments where I am reminded to be gentle on myself. I am not alone, and you aren’t either. You are a gifted human being and you are on path always, even if it feels like the complete opposite. Even if the steps you took forward today were small, or even if you feel you’ve taken steps back. What you are going through is making your soul that much richer, and it’s helping you to become more clear on what you do want. If my health hadn’t declined as much as it did in high school and college, it would not have been as important to me as it is now. I am grateful for these healing seasons of my life because I have become so much more compassionate throughout it all. I’ve been feeling more revitalized lately, more than I have in a long time. It’s almost like I’ve been underwater for a while and I’m just now coming up for air. How amazing it feels to breathe again. Although I feel I’ve got a long ways to go, I recognize that I have already come so far. And I’m sure you have too. Remember that all things change and nothing stays the same. When juicefeasting or rather a solid food vacation, I feel better having a warm broth in the evening to end my day. I use the pulp from my kale, celery, carrot, and green pepper juice before I do the green apples. I add 2 chopped potatoes with skins and onions to the broth along with 64oz distilled water, curry powder, onion powder, dulse, saffron, tarragon and dill. simmer for 2hrs and strain thru mesh and add a pinch of Celtic sea salt and a tsp of vegan omega 369. #broth#johnrose#solidfoodvacation#juicefeast#juicefast#veggiebroth#homemadebroth

Detox _______ Question of the day: What does my body need to function optimally and where am I getting in its way? ________________ The human body is brilliant. It does a million things without you even thinking about it. Every day our bodies are detoxing and clearing disease patterns. When the body is in balance, it can heal everything. A healthy immune system can handle almost anything you throw at it. But when things are off balance and the systems are overtaxed, our body communicates this by sending us signals. ____________ For the past few days I have been feeling particularly sluggish, bloated and a bit fatigued. Science tell us that when the body’s needs are not being met for long enough, the body will eventually let you know. The way the body communicate this neglect is through discomfort and eventually pain. When discomfort arises, it is, in a sense, a protest organized by a group of cells that they are being worked too hard and do not have what they need. So, knowing this I’ve decided to be mindful of these signals and go on a little reboot for the day. ______________ I am choosing to give my digestive system a break from metabolizing solid food for the day to encourage healing. Detoxing is a terrific way to clear out the toxins that are accumulating in our bodies and are making us feel like crap. It’s basically changing our bodies chemistry and flushing out harmful materials that have built up in our system over time. Eliminating those toxins can then help reduce inflammation, which is at the root of most diseases, while also boosting energy, brightening skin and helping us feel and perform better overall. ____________ So, I’m planning to juice, drink bone broth and hydrate throughout the day. I found that this works really well for me and it is a powerful way to support the cleansing of the liver without compromising the bodies healing process.

DAY 9: SWEET BABY CELERY. 🤤💦🌱 I used to dread celery and always leaned on cucumber 🥒 Now I crave celery, partially because I learned all the amazing benefits of celery through @medicalmedium but nonetheless, I also enjoy the taste now too! ✨😊 I will drink plain celery juice in the morning ☀️ • • Today’s recipe 🌱 1 stalk of celery 🍇 1 handful grapes 🌱 1 large bunch of greens (the produce is always in Chinese so I never know the names of the lettuce, does anyone know this type? It’s so good!) 🍋 1 lemon 🍎 1 apple 🔥 1 thumb of ginger
🥒BREAK~FAST🥒. When you discover juicing, you will realise that there's nothing as refreshing as freshly juiced cucumber or watermelon🍉juice with just a drizzle of fresh lime!👌🏽 So so GOOD! Especially when you break your fast every morning or whenever that is, and your body doesn't have to worry about digesting anything, it absorbs that juice right up! Know the truth! Know what the top of the mountain entails. Know YOU can get there and enjoy the views. But to get up, there are many routes to choose. You start your journey when YOU want/can/are ready. You decide which route you take depending on your individual circumstances. You camp out when you need and rest as much as you need. You run when you want to run. You walk when you want to walk. You go back home and take some more time before trying again. IT DOESN’T MATTER. No two people will ever have the same experience in climbing a mountain. It’s never going to be a straight line journey, more rather like the silhouette of a mountain. Had mono apple juice before that but forgot to take a pic :) We should under no circumstances eat any animal-based products. This implies, of course, being vegan. If one wishes to push the non-killing aspect to the limit, it would imply also being fruitarian, that is to say, only eating the produce of a plant and not the plant itself. But even those fruits contain the essence of life, so we are still killing something. I think we have to keep our feet on the ground with this subject. We need to eat, but we need to eat causing as little harm to nature as possible. How much pain a lettuce feels when it is being eaten, I don’t know. No doubt it feels something. But we must eat to keep our body alive and we must eat what the body is designed to process to thrive. Day 26/40. this is a photo of my kids gardens at the beginning of spring. So so fun teaching them to grow their own fruits, veggies and herbs! Anyways back to the Solid food vacation. Some people say it gets easier as it goes along but i'd say it's been hardest this week. I'm going to spoil myself and stick to juices i love to keep myself motivated so no more grape lemon juice for a few days as it made me too nauseous. going for the pineapple and green juice again and maybe some straight apple and lemon. i also juiced carrot and orange today so that should be good. I will say there is almost this overwhelming sense of sadness that settles on me most days. I think i miss the addictions. The numbing feeling of caffeine and how it helps me cope. I've lost all coping skills, now even the smallest thing, like a child not listening to me makes me lose it. I can’t remember when it happened, but all of a sudden I realized that my happiness was gone. I felt like I had always had this level of fulfillment and contentment in life and somewhere along the way it had left me. I’m not sure if it was the chronic lack of sleep, the emotional disconnection with those closest to me, the loss of identity as a person in becoming the full-time caretaker for two new tiny humans, or the inadequate nutrition - let’s get real, it was all of the above - but it caught up with me. Those early years when your children are so little and so very dependent on you, can be insanely tough. And on top of that, I found myself with flares of hormonal cystic acne, my hair falling out (Hashimoto's), almost blacking out on a daily basis from severe anemia, dealing with painful ganglion cysts, chronic sinus congestion, and eczema that wouldn’t let up. Now that my kids are a bit older - I’ve gotten a little more time to myself. I’ve had some mental space to focus on my health. I’ve spent more time connecting with loved ones. I’ve slept more than 4hrs at a time, on consecutive nights. 😄 And I’ve found new purpose in life, using what I have learned on my own journey to hopefully help others. One of the more pivotal changes I made for my health was juicing, transitioning to a high fruit, plant based diet, and discovering a love for gardening and growing our own food. Over the past year or so I have finally begun to come out of that headspace of feeling this constant low level depression. And most of my health issues have been reversed! I finally have energy! And I am SO thankful. All of this to say... Give yourself time to heal and come out of a tough phase in life. Give yourself grace. Moms -when you are able, seize the opportunity to take care of yourself and put your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health at the top of the list. When we do, I truly believe we are so much more able to be the moms our children need us to be. To everyone who has supported me, educated me, and been an inspiration to me -

Day 24/40 solid food vacation. Had a down day today as the unrealistic expectations of society seem to hit me hard sometimes. The way we think life should look like when we're adults and then it doesn't match up. it can throw life into a downward spiral unless we catch our thoughts and put our mind back into a state of gratitude. i won't elaborate anymore on social media but it's been hard on this fast dealing with a lot of emotions i've drowned out for so long. We've had a rough go the past 6 years moving to the okanagan and i hope we get a break from the stress and craziness we've had to deal with the past few years. To feel alone in your thoughts and not feel like anyone understands is a weird place to be in. you feel isolated. especially when you don't typically hold the culture views on most things in life. but life is short and that is something i keep reminding myself. we all will die and be buried. whether rich or poor. so in the end i just want to enjoy the life i've been given and the beautiful people in it. now onto the juice fast.. today i had coconut water, grape and lemon juice a few times, one store bought juice and a few green juices at home. i'm getting a little bored of certain juices which is why i think i'll buy a few pineapples again to juice as they go down smooth! i was also talking with a friend the other day and i feel moreso then ever that the emotional holds back physical healing. i've been dealing with a lot of anger, bitterness, sadness and resentment the past few days and not knowing how to deal with it. i really feel if i get over some of my feelings i will start seeing more healing in my body. I like to do crazy things once in a while ... like do a 40 day solid food vacation. that's right.. i've only consumed liquids for the past 23 days .. and i have a few weeks to go! i've had some days with almond milk in some tea but no solid food at all. it's been quite a ride and i'm working on doing some major cleansing in my body!
