Cold water face dunk while holding breath first thing in the morning, check. After talking with @biohackingbrittany on potto92, I decided to give this a bat. I can confirm that your facial skin feels so much better after doing this, it feels so much more taught, and fresh. And that was only after 2 rounds, as my "cold water" at that point was warming up due to Aussie summer. As you guys know, I've been doing Cold showers every morning since March last year, and will continue to for the rest of my life, so adding this extra piece to my morning routine is a great change up. These are also filmed on my @djiglobal Osmo pocket so let me know if the motion is something you don't want in these videos. : 🏋️Zercher Squats🏋️ : I was introduced to Zerchers by the likes of @salexander_strength, @tarikandfitness, & @darustrong, this squat variation has now been a staple in my program, due to its carry over towards my squatting numbers as well as the ability to boost the ability to wrestle your adversaries down to the mat! : Now I know what you're thinking, Why would anyone subject themselves to placing a load on the crook of the elbows? The placement of the barbell isn't only bad ass, but doing so will help you be comfortable with being uncomfortable. When fighter A shoots in for a double leg takedown, depending on the fighter B's ability to defend a takedown, fighter A will probably need to drive with what they got to accomplish that takedown. : I prefer Zercher squats over front Squats because not many people have the wrist mobility to do front Squats, Zercher squats are easy to accomplish even without much mobility. : I currently program Zercher squats as a main lift for my recovery days on the Texas Method as opposed to doing lighter back squats. Another is @joerogan, the first mace workshop I’d ever been to, most people could have linked their original mace purchase to Rogan promoting it. He talks about being the hero of your own movie it’s another reason I swing mace. People that know me know I have a busy mind but have always strived for new challenges. This is just for all of you great people who are trying to keep growing! _ I’m not accustomed to this whole talking-to-a-camera thing but it doesn’t seem that hard. _ Anyway, the two most important parts to this calf raise and knee to chest that most people neglect involve the correct breathing with a slow & controlled rep (same speed if not slower than me). _ _ Keep those hips open! However, as I'm sticking 100% to my daily calorie allowance atm to drop the Xmas poundage, I decided to cook instead - Chilli and garlic prawns with spinach, baby tomatoe and red pepper fried rice 😋😋😋 Do you know what? Introducing unilateral training (single arm/leg) to add a new challenge to my workouts. Single arm shoulder presses are going to recruit the muscles of the spine to help propel the weight upwards. Incorporating 20 minute sauna sessions 2-5 times a week post-workout (2 when I'm being a lazy ass and 5 when I'm dialed in) has been one of the best decisions I've made in a long time. The multiple mental and physical benefits are so apparant after just a couple weeks. It gives me time to actually be still and meditate, while also grinding through something that is difficult. The cardio benefits are amazing, also the effects heat shock proteins have on your body are tremendous. (Google that shit) Coupled with the mental toughness in hones in you when you have 5 minutes left and ALL you wanna do is hit the door. I highly recommend it.
