What are your thoughts on meditation? I often tell my clients that while meditation can be extremely helpful in calming our thoughts and grounding ourselves, it will look different for every person. For me, meditating is taking a walk along the beach and gardening. These places and events bring in a natural sort of mindfulness and emotions I may not have existed come out in full force. Ah, how beautiful our mind-body connection truly is! One of my clients finds dance to be her true meditation. What about you? What do you think about traditional forms of sitting in silence meditation versus more unconventional meditation? Would love to hear your thoughts!

I have been eating this Asian chicken salad on repeat for about a week and I'm still not sick of it!!! It's so good and so easy. All you need is some bagged coleslaw mix, chicken breast, any Asian style dressing (I used the Sesame Ginger Vinaigrette from Farm Boy) and some Coconut Amino's (or soy sauce, if you prefer). A little salt and pepper and a sprinkle of sesame seeds and lunch is served. This salad is super #macrofriendly, great for #lowcarb and even pretty #ketofriendly too (mine worked out to be 12.3g NC, but you could easily adjust quantities of dressing or salad to fit your macros. Some people struggle with self control. - They want to lose fat but have difficulty saying “no.” - Often times they mentally justify it in saying they’re “flexible dieting.” - But flexible dieting doesn’t mean “eat junk and lose fat.” It means “don’t feel guilty for having a treat - but you still have to be wicked consistent to make significant, lasting changes.” - For them, practicing self control and saying “no” more often might help them achieve their goal. - Other people struggle with food anxiety. - They get anxious at the thought of going out to eat at a restaurant because they don’t want to “ruin their progress.” - They feel bad for having a slice of cake at their own birthday party. - They, logically, know it sounds silly and they often give their friends/family/clients amazing nutrition advice that promotes a more flexible approach...but they struggle with it themselves. - For them, saying “yes” more often and having a treat might help them achieve their goals. - Progress is not only measured in weight loss or fat loss or measurements or numbers or quantifiable data. - Progress is also measured in mental, emotional, and behavioral changes. - And, candidly, if you don’t improve your mindset first, any physical changes/improvements are going to be short-lived. - Because sustainable results only happen with a sustainable mindset. - #sustainability#flexibledieting#moderation#ifitfitsyourmacros#iifym#calories#caloriecounting#macros#healthyeating#cleaneating#carbs#carbohydrates#preworkout#postworkout#fitness#fitnessaddicted#nutritioncoach#healthylifestylewithchigo

The best way to end a tough shoulder workout is with a yummy Postworkout 🏋🏼‍♀️ oatmeal bowl 🍲 😋. I actually made this Before my workout (& photographed 📸 it), so I could eat it as soon as I got home from the gym 🤣. Planning ahead is apparently motivating for me to finish my workout strong & get home 🤷🏻‍♀️ I guess I’m #foodmotivated 😆 — In the 🍲 bowl: ➡️ 1/2 cup oats + 1 serving PB & Honey @pescience protein4oats + 1cup water (microwaved 90sec), and topped with diced plum & 1tbsp of PB drizzle —- macros: 24p 42c 12f (355kcals) ♥️ —- Hope you all have a great day!!

Fulanita, sigues leyendo el periódico de ayer, déjame explicarte......⠀ ⠀ Eso ya es vieja creencia, se decía eso y que para mantener al cuerpo trabajando en la digestion más tiempo y por lo tanto quemar más calorías, pero resulta que nuestra quema de calorías por digestion no es más de el 10% de lo que consumimos. ⠀ ⠀ 😶Al contrario hay beneficios de pasar largos periodos sin comer, que me imagino habrán escuchado hablar del dichoso " Ayuno intermitente", tema de otro día.⠀ ⠀ 💉Inclusive para personas con resistencia a la insulina, esta práctica de comer cada 3-4 horas o de 5 a 6 veces al día ya no es recomendable, porque mantiene los picos de insulana altos mas tiempo durante el día. ⠀ ⠀ 🤓Lo recomendable es que consumas tus requerimientos de macro nutrientes diarios en tantas comidas como se te haga más cómodo, pero que las consumas completos, es decir que si te saltas alguna comida, debes comer las calorías correspondientes a esa comida perdida , junto a las siguientes comidas. ⠀ ⠀ 🙋🏻En mi caso, cuando estoy en deficit, me gusta más saltarme el desayuno y comerme esas calorías entre en el almuerzo y la cena, porque eso me permite hacer comidas más grandes y sentirme más saciada por más tiempo. Al contrario de cuando estoy comiendo mis calorías de mantenimiento, donde debo comer con más frecuencia para poder comer todo lo que tengo que comer y cumplir con mis requerimiento diarios, y así evitar que mi metabolismo trabaje más lento tratando de ahorrar desgaste. ⠀ ⠀ 📅Conclusión, come las veces que para ti y tu estilo de vida sea más cómodo y sostenible en el tiempo * * * * #healthyrecipe#nelene#neleneskitchen#dietaflexible#macros#amoloscarbohidratos#dietaspersonalizadas#iifym#ilovecarbs#macrosycalorias#cuentamacros#comersaludable#deficitcalorico#nelenedietaflexible
