Hope everyone’s having an awesome weekend!❤️ . I was digging through some of my old makeup and I found this one @zabanaessentials glow stick. This is one of the disappointing products I received in one of the @petitvour boxes. 😔 Now I know why I had it stored somewhere.😬 . This glow stick is intended to be a subtle highlighter. But, it doesn’t really do much. It does have a strong smell of nectarine🍊, which I like, but it can be overpowering depending on how you use this product. Even though, I couldn’t use this as a makeup product, I got to use it on my travels sometimes. When I was out of moisturizer, this was my backup body moisurizer. Though, it would get all hard and cakey and it would be hard to apply. . Do you have one of those disappointing products? I have heard many stories of how much the #patiparmeshwar doesn’t like Bhogi chi bhaji, the mixed vegetable curry made by Maharashtrians on Sankranti, from the MIL.. His birthday is on Sankranti and the last thing the pure non-vegetarian specimen wanted for birthday meals was more veggies.. Now I had never made it myself, though I have eaten it a couple of times when my MIL made it.. So when Niketa (@nikfoodamour) posted the recipe in her highlights, I thought I would give it a try.. I followed her recipe, minus the sesame and eggplant, plus some other veggies and spices.. I think it tasted fantastic and I would definitely make it again.. The better half may have liked it too but he will not accept it.. Lest I make it on his birthday next year, instead of mutton curry.. 😁😂😁 . . . . Given the alterations I made to the recipe, my version may not be authentic and truly Maharashtrian.. So guys this is what happens.⬇️ Somedays my whole body is pretty worked up. And I mean everything, upper as well as lower body. So on days like these, I train my abs and abs only. I like to do exercises which involve minimum to no stress on the body area which is pretty worked up. Here a few exercises that can be done by everyone without putting pressure on your arms and lower body. As for other days, I like training for abs on the bars itself. Don't forget to work on flexibility. REMEMBER: Spot reduction is nothing. This workout will not slim down your abdomen area, but this will tone it. If you want to slim down, the overall body fat has to be slimmed down. I just realized friday is the perfect day for partying and hence ~lippies💄. So, here’s my current collection from @elfcosmetics. As I mentioned earlier, price point wise, you can’t beat @elfcosmetics! 🙌And their quality is amazing.😍 . I was initially contemplating a lot before buying this due to price tag on it. But oh, how wrong was I🤦‍♀️! I started off with the lip palette as it’s low risk and I get to try out different shades and then bought the rest of the lipsticks. This palette was around $8 in @target and has around 6 different shades. But as you can see in the pic 2, I have used more of the light neutrals(It looks a bit messy from all the use 🤷‍♀️). I havent tried the dark color and I don’t intend to haha. I feel it won’t suit my skin tone. . The palette comes with a small cute lip brush and you can try mixing different colors too! lipsticks run really smooth and they stay on for atleast few hours. Again for $3, I have no complaints. . Went to @kaliforniakitchen near Tottenham Court Road for an afternoon meal. Enjoyed tucking into their Klassic Kalifornia burger which was the @movingmountainsfoods B12 burger which was colossal, also came with smoked paprika fries. Also enjoyed the scramble tumeric tofu on sourdough which was on point. We also got the heart beet juice which was smoother than Tennessee whiskey. Everything was great from service to the pink decor. I had the pleasure of meeting, hanging on bars and doing some workout with this legendary person yesterday. I was astonished to see how easily he was able to hang in the air because I was not able to do something like this almost 10 months back. When I asked him his age, he replied," I AM BORN TODAY. YOU SHOULD ALSO THINK LIKE THIS". I had nothing but respect for the attitude which he had towards life. The next he told me was that ONE SHOULD ALWAYS HAVE A GOOD NUMBER OF FRUITS AND VEGETABLES. I could really feel his energy and the happiness. See how beautiful life is and it becomes ever more because of such wonderful people. Being so happy and fit like this is something we all should look forward to. We are good friends now and I also recorded him working out(on his phone) which he'll probably show to his friends and family. Cheers to life and wonderful people like him. BTW, he turns 78 this March. Does anyone know why cauliflower is double the price of broccoli 🤔? That’s a serious question, so if you know please share 😊 ~ I had to make this cauliflower and chickpea curry again, and it did not disappoint. The recipe if you missed it is here: ~ 🍀300g potatoes, washed and peeled 🍀200g cauliflower florets 🍀200g tin chopped tomatoes 🍀200g tin chickpeas, drained and rinsed 🍀1 tablespoon tomato puree 🍀2 large shallots, finely chopped 🍀2 fat garlic cloves, finely chopped 🍀½ cm ginger, finely chopped 🍀1 teaspoon pilau seasoning or madras curry powder 🍀1 teaspoon ground coriander 🍀1 teaspoon garam masala 🍀1 vegetable stock cube 🍀Large handful coriander, leaves picked and stalks chopped 🍀1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional) - Cook the potatoes in a large pan of water for around 10 minutes or until they are half cooked. Drain and set aside. ~ Heat a small splash of water (or the coconut oil) in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the shallots and cook for 2 minutes until they start to soften. Add the garlic and ginger and cook for further 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently. Add the chopped tomatoes, tomato puree, vegetable stock, coriander stalks and all the spices, cook for around 10 minutes. Stir frequently and if the pan gets too dry, and a small splash of water. ~ Finally add the potatoes, chickpeas and the cauliflower, stir well to coat and add a little splash of water. Turn the heat down to a simmer and cook with the lid on for around 6-7 minutes or until the potatoes and cauliflower are tender. This Narthangayi (HeraLe Hannu ಹೇರಳೆ ಹಣ್ಣು / Dabbakaya / Citron)Ohre/Saadam was our lunch a few days back. Easier to put together than Chitranna (lemon rice) and SO SO good for the body. . During winter, I love to buy Citron and use in different ways as much as possible. Though it belongs to the citrus family, it is less tangy and has notes of bitter. . It helps balance Vatha and Kapha doshas as per Ayurveda; cleanses and detoxifies the tongue and heart as well as boosts immunity. It is part of the postpartum diet as well in our households. Aged citron pickle is so good! . . . I love bitters. How about you? And for some more, I am not following this Lifestyle for weight loss, well that is happening naturally. For people who don't know, there's something called a complete body detox i.e. required for people like us who eats nonsense in the name of food that too blindly for years. Thanks to @sadhguru for letting us know about the #Prana which is the life energy in our body. How positive you can keep your system is in your hands, and few months or weeks or days off junk eating is anyway good for one's system. . . As part of that, I am strictly not eating foods with -Dairy Products (excluding ghee) -Non Vegetarian/Alcohol -Negative Stimulants (Tea/Coffee) etc -Negative Pranic Foods : Chilli, Garlic, Onion, Bringal and Hing . . Apart from reduction in -Sleep -Weight And increase in -Postivity and -Energy My stress, anger has been completely replaced with Happiness, Focus and Balance. I've been doing things on time, I'm very energetic, full of life and very very happy. . . The journey has been full of dramas and Nazis forcing you to eat but no matter what! This detox won't end before 100 days! Hahaha. At least I'm going to try! . . So here's the #2010vs2019 for me on a good note! To a bright future #10yearchallenge accepted! . . #Post 302 Going Vegetarian on Thursdays with Palak Paneer in the menu for the day ♥️ Do you like this creamy and healthy Indian Vegetarian Delight?? RECIPE: 1. Heat water in a large pot. Clean the spinach and wash it thoroughly under running water. Once the water comes to a boil, add the cooking soda and spinach and blanch the spinach for 3-4 minutes. Drain the water and run the spinach under cold water immediately. Put the spinach a blender along with green chillies and make a smooth paste. 2. Heat oil in a pan. Once the oil is hot, add cumin seeds and dried red chillies. Let them crackle for a few seconds. Add onion and garlic and fry until onion turns translucent. Add tomato and cook for 3-4 minutes. You can blend the masala at this stage for a creamier gravy. 3. Add spinach puree and saute on high heat for minute. Add paneer, salt and 1/2 cup water and bring the curry to a boil. 4. You can give it a smokey flavor if you like by burning a coal piece until it is red hot. Keep a bowl inside the bowl with curry and keep the piece of coal on top of it. Pour a tsp of ghee on top of the coal and immediately close the lid of the main bowl. Rest it for 10-15 minutes and uncover lid. 5. This is my style of preparing mixed Vg upma 👆and in fact it takes me down to the memory lane when cooks were called from temple, whenever there used to be any function in my house...... They used to use different veggies, except onion for religious reason and upma used to taste heaven in the flavour of different veggies and ghee........ Here i have used potato, green peas, beans, cabbage, tomato, green coriander, fresh coconut grates, and lemon. Even veggies like carrot, capsicum too can be used. (these were not there in my store, hence the video without these two vgs).....
