In order to achieve the above two goals you will need to be eating at a calorie deficit and also strength train with progressively harder weights over time. . Often times the problem with a lot of female clients I work with is that they do those 2 things but neglect the amount of protein, eating the less ideal breakdown of protein, carbs and fat. . What’s the impact: . -poor recovery from your training and feeling drained all the time. This will also reduce training intensity. . -hinders training progress so you can’t attain the lean and toned look you desire. . -greater hunger, so you may end up eating more. Protein keeps you full . -more calories absorbed, the calorie cost to digest protein is higher than both carbs and fat . -possible loss of hair when protein is insufficient and you suddenly lose weight . -greater loss of muscle. In a calorie deficit it will be harder to maintain muscle. . So all the above will impede your ability to melt fat as well as holding you back from achieving the toned body you want. . In short, prioritise protein and make sure you eat enough to support your goals. . If you want to work your chest and get strong 💪 but you don’t have access to a gym, then the push-up will be a staple in your training. . They should be, regardless of equipment availability because push-ups are such a great full body exercise, that utilises your core, and keeps your shoulders healthy. If done correctly ✅of course. . Which brings me to this Form Fix. The left picture represents a bad push-up. This typically occurs when you’re simply not strong enough. That or you just didn’t know right from wrong . The last thing we want to avoid when performing any exercise is injury, am I right!? And having your arms at 90 degrees or more places the shoulder joint in a position that increases the risk of shoulder injury . This is because the upper arm bone may catch on the tendons and bursa in the shoulder joint, causing irritation and eventually leading to inflammation. Believe me when I tell you that you do NOT want to experience this . Other issues are the elbows too, will get a bit more strain. Also, allowing your head to droop down towards the floor, basically a forward head posture, also creates a less than ideal posture,and unnecessary strain on the neck. . Simply put follow the right hand side. . ✅Keep your elbows tucked in ✅Elbow stacked on top of the wrists ✅Fingertips at the arm pit level ✅Keeping your chin tucked and staying tall ✅And do the push-ups chest to floor😁 . People ask how I built my abs. A big part of my training is done with the Ab wheel and a few other great tried and tested ab exercises past down from the greats. The ab wheel is old school, but it works. It works REALLY well. #Muscles developed using “The #AbWheel” gives your “core” the ability to brace against potentially posture/lowerback damaging forces. The more you challenge your “core muscles” the more stable your torso becomes. The more stable your LPH complex, the more power and #strength you’ll have which will give you the ability to train at th correct intensity to build the chiseled midsection you’re looking for. The ab wheel hammers the abs in a ways that most other #abdominal exercises can't. Its is more than an ab exercise it's a challenge to your hips, shoulders, triceps, and latissimus dorsi. Get training: 1 Hold the Ab Wheel with both hands and kneel on the floor. 2 Now place the ab roller on the floor in front of you so that you are on all your hands and knees (as in a kneeling push up position). This will be your starting position. 3 Slowly roll the ab roller straight forward, stretching your body into a straight position. Tip: Go down as far as you can without touching the floor with your body. Breathe in during this portion of the movement. 4 After a pause at the stretched position, start pulling yourself back to the starting position as you breathe out. Tip: Go slowly and keep your abs tight at all times. You should feel most of this in your abs but if you have a weak back, contact us for a session to learn proper technique as your posture might be compensating and you could risk unnecessary injuries. Went heavy with these nasty things (painful grip) tonight - 130kg for reps and then we died @mirandatory. Looking through my feed... one would think I'm really into deadlifts lol. Which is completely the opposite 😂 Have issues with back form and so I hate it. Any tips guys? Other than telling me to do more of what I hate (which I will anyway lol). . . . In order to achieve the above two goals you will need to be eating at a calorie deficit and also strength train with progressively harder weights over time. . Often times the problem with a lot of female clients I work with is that they do those 2 things but neglect the amount of protein, eating the less ideal breakdown of protein, carbs and fat. . What’s the impact: . -poor recovery from your training and feeling drained all the time. This will also reduce training intensity. . -hinders training progress so you can’t attain the lean and toned look you desire. . -greater hunger, so you may end up eating more. Protein keeps you full . -more calories absorbed, the calorie cost to digest protein is higher than both carbs and fat . -possible loss of hair when protein is insufficient and you suddenly lose weight . -greater loss of muscle. In a calorie deficit it will be harder to maintain muscle. . So all the above will impede your ability to melt fat as well as holding you back from achieving the toned body you want. .
