Yesterday, I had a bit of a wake up call. Spent lunch with my “Wednesday Wonders” and outpoured my own un-healthy habits. The things that have not been going well lately. I focus so much on the things I want to get right that I don’t think about how I can change the things that make me feel 💩 (if that makes any sense?!)! It was almost like a confession and I realised it was time to get some of those things sorted out. It doesn’t take a lot, just a small shift or a tiny step that can make a lot of difference. Here’s my plan... 1️⃣Get back to a workshop. Even us coaches need coaching. Who knew! 🤷‍♀️ 2️⃣ Plan a small snack for the evening (last night I had a WW brownie bar for 2sp but cut it into pieces to have with a hot choc, it was a winner and I was so proud of myself for just having that!) 3️⃣ Track this snack early in the day - tracking the good, bad and ugly keeps me mindful and love my trusty WW app so this shouldn’t be hard 4️⃣ Aim for a 🔵 on said trusty app, but don’t stress if you don’t get it! I always hear people tell me that they’ll start when things settle down (ex: when they finish school, move, kids get older, find the money...) I really wish I could join you in your bootcamp, but I'm sure it's super expensive and I just don't know if I can afford it.. I am going to be real with you for a second..or two.. I have been on my fitness journey for most of my adult life, but when I filly committed to it, I have been able to find a different level of fit...and maintain it...and that is worth all the money in the world!! In all honest, what I do, is really and truly affordable. I think about how much $$ I spent on yoga studios, gym memberships, fad diets, and time..oh the time away from my kiddos. It wasn't until I joined this community with my coach who inspired me, encouraged me, and helped me see my fullest potential that I am able to maintain a healthy and manageable lifestyle. You cannot put a price on that! Not only do I love my body, and that has not been an easy thing to do. It was a process of learning how to change my mindset, to create new routines and habits that actually made me feel happier and confident, from the inside out! I can't put a price tag on the fact that as a mom of 2 growing boys they get to see a fit, confident mom. I am able to keep you with them I am able to feel good and stay in pictures with them. Yaaaay this week was my first week back at the gym (ive been away for 6 weeks even though I worked out from home x3 a week), and let me tell you that it felt SO good! I was honestly scared and unmotivated. Thought I lost all my strength and didn’t wanna face it. But before going I told myself "just go and do what you can for now" and I did even MORE than before leaving 😻 I was so happy and I felt so good afterwards. Please try to face your fears (especially at the gym) and overcome them. It is 100% possible and it feels amazing once it’s done. You won’t become strong overnight, but stronger and stronger everyday. And there is no better feeling of achievement than realizing that now you can do something that you were not able to do last year, last month, or even last week. Be gentle on yourself, work hard and be patient. This will be my mantra from today on ahaha. 😂 this has happened to me more than once! & it actually happened last night, I kept telling my husband I’m about to go on a rampage & eat everything in our kitchen (that time of the month).... my ‘rampage’ was actually a banana & some dried strawberries.... WAY more sugar than I had planned on consuming yesterday, especially right before bed.... but let’s look at a few of my choices I ate REGULARLY this time last year: a few packages of poptarts, a Tupperware full of cereal, half a Pie, WAY too much or a carton of ice cream... & that wasn’t even just during my time of the month, that was all the time.... & last night I had a small breakdown over my banana ‘rampage’😂 thank you healthy me for doing the grocery shopping! Next question..... do you practise and teach ‘Emotional Hygiene’ ? . Say what again? . You heard me right- emotional hygiene is the art of ⚜️tuning into your feelings ⚜️managing distressing emotions ⚜️marshalling positive emotions ⚜️and tuning into other people (and their emotions) This is essentially the practise of emotional intelligence and it’s the foundation of resilience- true grit if you will. This practise allows people to rise above the challenges that drive emotions which could be crippling and persevere in there goals. . So if you’re not actively doing this, ask yourself ‘why not’ and if you’re not teaching others how to do this I encourage you to start! . Let’s build a generation of problem solvers!!! . I took this photo and in an instant saw how far I’d come. I love his smile. I love my smile. But something new for me... I love that you can see the squish in my skin where he and his sister grew. I would have deleted this in the past. But the truth is that my stomach rolls sometimes. I have cellulite and my stretch marks glisten in the sunlight. ☀️ I have extra skin on my stomach and an umbilical hernia from where my bellybutton ring used to be. 🤷🏻‍♀️ But for the first time, I’ve begun to see the person my husband sees. He always says that he doesn’t see the cellulite or stretch marks, but what he really means is that he sees them, but he loves my body anyway. And you know what? I do too! I read somewhere that you don’t believe in body positivity if you are working out and living a healthy lifestyle. I call BS on that. Who the heck can decide how YOU feel about YOUR body and if it’s positive or not? YOU. Yes, YOU! Your husband or friends or parents can tell you that you are beautiful, but YOU are the one that needs to believe it. For me, being healthy & working out has helped me to love myself and those things I used to find imperfect. I love the rush I get after a good sweat. I love knowing that I’ve filled my body with good food. I love knowing that my superfood shake is literally changing me from the inside out. I love knowing that my habits can be passed onto my children. I love that the ACTIONS dictate who I see in the mirror and not the number on the scale or the pants size. The ACTIONS make me body positive, not because I hate myself or want to punish myself, but because the ACTIONS help me feel good both inside and out. When you hate something, you battle with it. There really is no greater feeling than

There really is no greater feeling than finishing a workout.🙌🏻 I am a creature of habit—and I do love the gym, but some days I freakin dreaddd it.😩 But when I don’t feel like going, I remind myself of how great it’ll feel once I’m done, and that pushes me to get after it.💪🏻**or throw on some freakin Cardi B😎** That being said, it is important to listen to your body, and if you do need that day of rest, by all means, take it!🧘🏻‍♀️ . . Also, been loving adding a BOSU ab blast at the end of my workouts lately 2-3x a week.☺️🙌🏻 I love the BOSU because it challenges balance and stability, which is allll core strength.👏🏻 And I just love switching it up & incorporating different things to constantly be shocking my body, cuz that’s what it’s all about babaaay.🙌🏻 . . I’ve been on this journey since 2014 when I gave birth to my beautiful daughter. I gave birth weighing at 295lbs. The biggest and heaviest I had ever been. I wish I had more pictures to show you from that time and in time when I scour to find them, you shall see the #transformation I’m talking about. On the left I weighed 250lbs, and where I am now currently 192lbs. I haven’t been this small in a long time. Before being pregnant I weighed 200 lbs and felt good because I was always active. However my eating habits weren’t the greatest. I have officially learned to love myself and enjoy being the #kitchenwitch I have found myself to be!
