This last week has been extremely tough and I know it’s been some time since I posted or have been active on insta. Last Sunday we adopted a dog named rowdy after weeks of looking for the perfect dog. He was everything we wanted but when we got him home his demeanor changed. He never ate for us (he was without food for 3-4 days), would barely leave the couch, and would whimper. We tried multiple types of foods... toys... dog park... took him to the vet. We even tried what the vet suggested and nothing worked. We realized at that point it just wasn’t the perfect match. He was showing signs of separation anxiety and we couldn’t be around 24/7. The most I was gone was 4 hours and he wasn’t handling it well. We knew he deserved a home that could care for all his needs so we surrendered him back to the humane society. The heartbreak was unbearable and I’ve never felt anything like it. I cried the whole way there. I left the building crying because I couldn’t go through with it. A very kind stranger made sure I was ok and even tried to help. When it was over I cried and screamed in the car. It was just such a raw moment. We finally got to see his adoption photo (not posted) and he looks scared in it, like he did at home). If we would’ve seen that sooner we would’ve known something was different with him. That night we ate comfort food. I had a whole pizza and a sundae... watched some good shows to take our minds off of it. Then to top the week off on Friday I found out I’m having more eye surgery in about a week and a half, and if something goes wrong I could be blind. I’m 22 and have to worry about losing my sight forever. This hasn’t been my week and I’m trying just to say sane. Cherry on top was this was the first week of the new semester and I haven’t been feeling my classes. Just so tired from life that classes seem so trivial right now. I hope to get back on track this week but the weeks coming week don’t know how soon I’ll be able to work out after my surgery. I was hoping to kill this #gymshark66 challenge, but right now life has just been eh.

É impressionante o número de pessoas que relatam não possuírem boa relação com a comida e acabam por desenvolver transtornos alimentares. Pois é, isso foi exatamente o que aconteceu comigo! Sempre fui uma criança um pouco mais gordinha, no entanto, saudável; até a chegada da adolescência, onde os poucos kg a mais começaram a aumentar e se tornar “vários”. Com a rotina de cerca de 12 a 14 horas de estudo diário para o vestibular, comecei a desenvolver cada vez mais ansiedade, que por sua vez era suprida com comida, o que refletiu na minha saúde e também na balança, aos 15 anos eu pesava mais de 125 kg e não entrava em um jeans 58. Apesar das inúmeras tentativas de fazer dieta, com ou sem acompanhamento nutricional. Elas jamais funcionavam! Até perdia um kg ou dois mas voltava a engordar porque eu “comia minhas emoções”. Cada vez que me sentia ansiosa eu comia desesperadamente, o que me fazia sentir culpada e fracassada; neste ponto eu não tinha disposição alguma para tentar e comia ainda mais para me sentir confortada. Então comecei a desenvolver um segundo transtorno; BULIMIA. Comia e vomitava em seguida. Esse hábito não se sustentou por muito tempo. Pouco depois comecei a perder peso rapidamente, nunca uma “dieta” tinha dado tão certo! Mas passava mal todos os dias e mal me aguentava em pé, literalmente! Foi quando descobri o diabetes. Com o uso da medicação e insulina, todo peso perdido foi recuperado ainda mais rapidamente. O que me frustrava. Lutei muito para emagrecer de maneira saudável e emagreci! Mas depois desenvolvi um terceiro transtorno: DIABULIMIA, que basicamente é um TA onde pessoas com diabetes tipo1 utilizam menos insulina que o necessário para funcionamento do corpo causando desequilíbrios metabólicos e perda de peso, pois eu queria comer compulsivamente e ser extremamente magra. Somente quando ressignifiquei o valor da comida encontrei o equilíbrio necessário, cuidando da minha mente foi que consegui curar o meu corpo e me livrar de todos esses transtornos! ✨🧘🏽‍♀️ ✨🧠✨ Jamais julguem alguém que está sofrendo com TA, não pensem que é falta de “decisão”, essas são doenças complexas que necessitam de assistência adequada!

Andere Süßigkeiten können hier ein halbes Jahr liegen und interessierten mich gar nicht, aber Eis wird hier nie alt!
