Who knew I’d match the pavement so well this morning?! So a little update for everyone. I did wake up at my normal time this morning but I still felt mentally drained and foggy so I choose to get a couple extra hours of sleep over working out this morning. Normally I wouldn’t ever do that but this week some of the symptoms I’m feeling are very similar to the symptoms I felt right after my concussion. And while recently I was feeling better, I am realizing that I may not have been fully healed and tried to do too much too soon. • From all the hiking in Canada, trying to get back into running, and restarting the LIIFT4 program I may have tried to do more than my body, or in this case my brain, was ready for. Concussions aren’t a joke or something to take lightly so this is something I’m going to be very careful about. At this point I’m going to check back in with my doctor for guidance on what to do moving forward. • I think this is a good opportunity to remind everyone that your health should always come first over anything else. It’s really important to always listen to your body if something doesn’t feel right (there’s a difference between tired/sore and plain something isn’t right) and when coming back from an injury you should take it slow before jumping back all in. I am the first to admit that I do nothing slow, I rarely take the time to relax, and I was very eager to get back into my normal routine. Truth!! There are always so many opportunities in your day to feel like you need to defend yourself from what others may say or think about you or your situation. I've learned so much about myself in regards to this and have found it to be so helpful to not play into that anymore. I lived far too many years feeling like I needed to defend myself or even defend someone else and when I didn't feel like I could do that, I'd take on so much guilt, frustration and resentment! Only to realize it was never my position to protect or defend, in the given situation, in the first place! Other people's issues are just that... They aren't for me to take on or try to fix or change...it's their journey, their story and if and when they are ready to move on from what is keeping them stuck, they will do so and if they aren't ready, they'll stay right where they are... You see, we are always winning at the game we are playing. If you are scared to move on and afraid to do things differently than you ever have before... You will produce the environment that keeps you right where you are and what is most familiar and comfortable to you. In contrast, when you are truly ready to not be stuck, you will find a way to change the environment and get unstuck in that area. I've recently learned to just become more curios about what does keep us all stuck in certain mindsets, behaviors or habits...I love working with people who really want to break the chains of this kind of dysfunction. I love seeing them begin to find their own answers and to begin changing their own life legacies! God provides all of us free will in our decisions. We aren't meant to live like victims our whole lives, we are meant to really live our lives and help those around us to have hope again. If you have seen a similiar situation repeat itself in your life, there's likely a reason and if you're curious enough to begin exploring why and ready to answer the difficult questions as to why, then you are definitely ready to change your life and the way you view it, forever!! It's never too late, you're never too old and you are so worth it!!

Is anyone else as stubborn as me when it comes to rest? It’s only been 4 days since my Op, and although my doctor says I’m allowed to train when I feel ready, I know I’m not fit enough yet (FYI stitches suck). It’s driving me a little stir crazy being inside so much. . Does anyone have any non- active suggestions for Dubai over the next few days pretty please?!

Uwaga! Grażyna wróciła na salony, ale Jessica nie odpuszcza i dogania ją sumiennie. Tęskniłam i nigdy nie sądziłam, że tak polubię siłownię. Ja. Człowiek - Kulka (do pewnego momentu 😎) Przede mną jeszcze urlop, który na ten moment nie zakłada sesji treningowych. W pierwszej kolejności muszę zresetowac łeb, uwolnić duszę, napełnić serce, przemyśleć kilka tematów i popracować ze sobą, aż w końcu wyłączyć się całkiem. Tak, to jest robota na pełen etat, ta ze sobą. Kompletnie się nie opłaca, ale absolutnie WARTO. Ciało i treningi to drugorzędny temat, ale w głowie pomału układam plan działania i wracam do planowania treningów w kalendarzu. Sprawdziło mi się to w styczniu i w lutym, kiedy na każdy tydzień miałam wyznaczony treningowy dzień. I choć życie czasem płatalo figle, coś musiałam pozamieniać, bo praca albo inny temat, to na koniec stycznia okazało się po podliczeniu, że zrobiłam 16 treningów. Sama zastanawiałam się - ale JAK? Myślę, że to jest akurta dobry sposób na mnie i każdy może próbować swoich metod utrzymania treningowej regularności. Byle w zgodzie ze sobą, bez zmuszania się i poczucia smutnego obowiązku, bo nie o to w tym chodzi.
