2 days left of my program!!! I’m so excited! I went a while not working out because I got sick a few times (was last sick earlier this week and was stuck in bed for a few days), but at least I get back up and resume my routine once I start feeling better 🤗 this last week (peak week) is taking workouts from other phases and adding a bit of twist into them. Let’s just say....it’s rough. But totally worth it in the end when I’m laying on the floor unable to move 😂 I love challenging myself and noticing the change I’ve made. In a few days I’ll be posting transformation pics from this program 💕

Repeat a minimum of 3 times. You will sweat. I always get nervous when posting a video and I don’t even know why. Anyway do something that scares you a little everyday. Start where you are and with what you have because the lord knows I have wasted so much time ‘waiting until it’s right’ 🙄. Review of light band work and some stretching by @katieaustin 💛 Really enjoyed this light flow of movements with the band. I did 8-16 reps on each side for every movement, for 3 sets. Because it was fairly light I felt like I could do more of them so it ended up being a 30min workout! And I broke into a good sweat by the end of it. Just goes to show you don't need to smash out crazy workouts to break a sweat and get the heart rate up. I started doing each move a little fast, as seen in this clip, but in later sets I started to slow it down and focus on holding each position, controlling the moves and squeezing tight. This definitely made it harder than just trying to speed through the workout and use momentum to get you through! I find this ineffective! TRAINING AGE by @kruckifitness Follow @health._tips - Depending on how long you've been lifting, there's certain ways you should go about it that can really benefit you in the long run. - If you have been lifting for 0-2 years, you classify as a beginner. In this phase, the best move is to go with a 3-day full body split, while hitting muscles 2x/week. This will be the easiest time to progress. - If you have been lifting 2-4 years, you classify as an intermediate. At this stage, progression will still be somewhat easy, but it will be slower, which is why the best move is to go up to a 4-day upper/lower split to get in more volume. - If you have been lifting 4+ years, you can consider yourself advanced. This is where progression will be much harder. So around here, moving up to a 5 or even 6 day split is optimal, to maximize strength and hypertrophy. - The main thing you should know, regardless of your training age, is that you can build muscle in any of these categories! This flareup has spread to my entire right side. It's as if my right hip & knee have decided to have empathy for my shoulder. It seems nice, but it's just really annoying. 😶🤔🤬 Ibuprofen is my friend. We head to Chicago tomorrow for an MLK mini-vacation. Ok so I hate cardio (shocker I know) but hiit has always been a great alternative to the dreaded treadmill/ elliptical for me! This morning I was in a pool of sweat, pushing myself, and not hating it. 😀 I go for 30-45 minutes depending on how well I’m feeling and want to push myself, but 30 minutes of hiit is more than enough to get the job done. Training like this helps your body burn more fat than traditional cardio as well. I treated all these as a circuit, with about 30 seconds exercise, 20 seconds rest— except for the step-ups and squats, which I did for reps. Also, me being me, I forgot to record my burpees and jump squat crosses so I filmed a quick little bit of them after my ab workout. Shoutout to @meggangrubb for awesome hiit inspo , and @katyhearnfit for the fireee glute band 🤩
