Cant. Will. Did This ☝️ probably defines my fitness journey thus far perfectly! I went from cant to did, in following a regular gym routine, lifting heavier weights, completing more exercise reps, eating healthier, sleeping better and everything in between. This is also what one of the wall murals at @otf_bridgwater says. Im not one to step on the scale regularly, but Ive signed up for a transformation challenge at my gym and getting weighed was the requirement. I can say that Im pleasantly surprised to have successfully lost about 18 lbs ever since I started in August. Still have a long way to go but hopefully will get there in due time! Most importantly, i feel alot more energized, sleeping better, feeling great! Took my first 90 minute class today (swipe left for stats), with the ever amazing @jon.jonesy and the old me wouldve been dead right now but here I am, typing this out. Hence, Cant . Will . Another day. Another PR. And another entry into the #couldntdothatayearago file. 3G Tread block had 4 minute runs for distance x3. Maintained 6.0 mph for one entire 4 minute block!!! This first run was at the top of class, my last two were at the shank. Took it easy all class so I could try and beast it at the end with a plan for the the 2nd one at 5.5 mph and 3rd at 5.0 mph. Couldn't do it. Deadity dead. Started # 2 at 5.5 mph the had to drop to 4.5 mph after only a minute. Then for # 3 had to fight with myself for the entirety of it to not walk at all and maintain my 4.5 mph jog. Made that though and even all-outed on final 30s. This PR is exciting to me because 6 mph = a ten minute mile = my conceptual threshold of #reallyrunning = what real runners do = just call me #theflash = #leapsandbounds I can do anything for 30 seconds. (And almost anything for 1 minute = #orangetheoryfifthringofhell = #oneminuteallouts But FOUR minutes? At SIX MILES PER HOUR? I bought two bags of grapes yesterday knowing I could snack on them while I watch tv or when those “boredom cravings” set in. It’s pretty much a pre-workout from @starbucks ☕️ it’s only 70 calories, but has the same caffeine levels as an actual pre-workout 🙌🏼 Recipe from @themacrobarista - To order, say this to the barista: “Hi (be nice to people mmkay) can I get a grande cold brew with three pumps of sugar-free vanilla, one pump of hazelnut syrup” (pause and let them get all that) THEN say “can I then get a shot of *blonde* espresso on top of that with *light* cream?” - I technically get an extra shot, but that’s because my caffeine tolerance is that of...well.....me lol I wouldn’t advise! #FatTuesdayFAM#FitnessPerson 💪🏼

Discipline is so important when we are working towards a goal. As I work towards losing body fat and getting healthy, discipline starts with meal planning. I plan my meals for the entire week - breakfast, lunch and dinner. I prep my breakfast, lunch and snacks on Sunday so I can just grab and go. Dinners are planned as well and I stick to them. I even plan my cheat meals. I know some people may think this level of planning is crazy but it helps me feel in control of my good choices. It keeps me from being derailed and is going to help me reach my goal.

Made this delicious Air Fried Zucchini for just 5 pts! Had to share because it was so good and crispy and tasted like the good old days. -Cut up 1 zucchini (the spears turned it better than the chips. & this was a smallll zucchini bc winter. 1 zucchini - 0 pts) -Roll pieces in all purpose flour (1/8 c - 2 pts) -Roll floured pieces in egg wash (1 egg - 0 pts) -Roll egged pieces in bread crumbs (1/4 c - 3 pts) -Pam spray bottom of air fryer. Place all pieces on bottom and spray pieces with Pam. Raise your 👋🏼 if you already feel like you’re in a rut in 2019!!!⁣ ⁣ Getting back into the swing of things or starting a new routine can be so difficult during this time of the year. For the last month my whole life routine has just been off with winter break and now after my first week back to school and work it’s been hard to get back to my old 5am routine! I do not like it 🙅🏻‍♀️⁣ ⁣ I’m having to reteach my body to get up early and remember that I’ll feel 100x better even though when my alarm goes off I want to throw my phone across the room and go back to sleep. Motivation is comes and goes but endorphins make it all better!!

I got in there, I didn't make excuses. We all have an hour a day or at least 3 to 4 hours a week to give to our health and our minds... - I use to sit on the couch, eat my triscuits & cheese, watch TV & hate on people that were bettering themselves because they posted it all over Facebook. Why, because I was lazy, overweight, unmotivated, depressed, etc. - I'm so thankful I made the choice to join them and turn my life around. As @amyjomartin says #WhyNotNow. NUTRITION LABELS! Lets talk about it! So many times I’ve thought a snack was “healthy” or “not that bad” and then I turn that label over and my jaw drops! My job always has some tempting treats lying around like these muffins. I used to LOVE these. I could easily eat one or even two in one sitting. I decided to peak at the label, 410 CALORIES AND 35 GRAMS of SUGAR FOR ONE MUFFIN?!? SHOOK! That’s almost the cals of a full meal and you’re definitely aren’t full off a muffin. Not even considering the amount of crazy ingredients I can’t pronounce. I’m all about balance and moderation. But if you ate one of these daily thinking this paired with a few other items is a healthy breakfast you could be packing on calories that inhibit your goals! Peep those labels folks!

Saw this on @nikkiblackketter story from yesterday and I had to repost. Yesterday all that fire I had last week got replaced with the typical Monday blahs. Did NOT want to go workout, eat well etc. AT ALL! I got a text from a @donutrunner13.1 that inspired me to get my butt out of bed and get to the damn gym. That’s all it took to light that spark again! We all have these huge goals and changes we want to make but before you count yourself out and tell yourself you can’t do it, just remember it’s as simple as deciding to get up out of bed that day. Once you’ve done that, you’ve already won the first battle.

My son LOVES orange chicken probably as much as I love #tacos, it's his favorite food. - It was fun to see them cook together and for us all to sit down and share a healthy meal we all could enjoy rather than cooking nuggets or hotdogs or something different for the kids. Heck they even liked the cauliflower rice... - I'm not sure what it is with this #JanuaryWhole30 but my wife and I have more energy than ever. This video seemed to make sense as I was shooting it but I was walking way too slow. As I've learned from a creator I respect @codywanner, videos aren't always going to be perfect. As long as you get your message across that's what counts and hopefully I did that here. - The key here is to encourage your neighbors when working out, introduce yourself, say hello, whatever. I'm not saying carry on a full on conversation, you're hopefully working too hard for that but dont be shy. @orangetheory is an awesome community. That being said some people are shy and don't want to be engaged which is usually pretty obvious when they dont respond back... 🤔🙄😁 Its amazing though how that subtle word of encouragement from you could be the difference that person needs to have an even better workout. Can I say it enough? I 💖 Mondays! I know someone out there thinks I am crazy but I am not! I work up fresh and ready to crush my day! I started a new devotional today - my 1st actually. I over estimated my breakfast when packing so I adjusted so I didn't overeat. I ate my yummy meal prepped lunch and it didnt disappoint. Tonight was kickboxing, which was awesome as usual....except the sciatic pain that caused me to stop halfway through class and stretch. But I rolled with it. Dinner time and my house is quiet. Hubby got stuck at work so it's just me, the girls and Lucky. Listening to some mellow music while I eat and clean up. Hope everyone else had a great Monday too!

In the last few months my perspective of Monday has changed. I love Mondays! I get to go to work and show my worth. I get to workout - Mondays is kickboxing day!
