When I started by fitness journey, my routine was much the same. I’d go through both the upper body and lower body exercise machines and do four sets of ten. I saw results, but I was only a beginner. The truth was, and I didn’t know it at the time, but I needed to incorporate free weights if I wanted to have a complete lifting program. . Free weights allow you to move with a full range of motion, this forces you to have to use your stabilizing muscles. Using these smaller stabilization muscles keeps your joints and body healthy. A healthy body means you can be healthier and fitter for longer.. . Free weights allow you to have endless exercise variations. They keep things fun for you. Free weights give you more bang for your buck. If your limited on time, like most of us are, doing a few free weight exercises is going to work more muscles because doing free weight movements work more than just one muscle group at a time. Like the squat, it works your legs, obviously, but it also works your core and your back too. . Più di 4 anni di differenza tra le due foto...nella prima avevo da poco cominciato ad andare in palestra, la seconda l'ho scattata in questi giorni 😃 Un fisico diverso con solo 2/3 kg di differenza ma ciò che è più cambiato sono io e il rapporto con me stessa! Non voglio scrivere le stesse cose di sempre 😃 Però voglio dirvi questo: io non ho mai avuto particolari obiettivi fisici, se non quello di mettere un po' di muscoli 😀 questi anni di palestra (soprattutto gli ultimi 2) li ho passati allenandomi con piacere, allenandomi quando ne avevo il piacere, senza nessun sacrificio ma facendolo solo perchè mi piace e mi fa stare e vedere bene 🙂 certo, se volete dei risultati estetici ci vuole costanza, pazienza e determinazione! Ma la cosa più importante, per stare bene soprattutto mentalmente e trovare un proprio equilibrio, è ascoltarsi sempre! Fate ciò che vi fa stare bene davvero senza mai paragonarvi a nessuno e senza mai sentirvi inferiori a nessuno 💪🏻ma nemmeno migliori 😜🙄 #bodychange#balance#loveyourself#gym#gymgirls#gymlover#womensbest#fitness#fitnesslover

It's official! I finally ran for the first time in awhile. My back injury has held me up from doing cardio for a little while, and after my treatment Tuesday I felt renewed and able to hit that pavement!!!! I definitely have to keep up on stretching and mobility. Sometimes people get injured and give up, or don't want to start because of an injury. The truth is you can often find ways to work around it and therapies/treatments to relieve symptoms or even (eventually) cure the issue. Don't give up! Get creative and COMMIT to getting past/through it.
