🔥Form Personal Best🔥 Been trying to get better lat and lower trap action in my chin ups especially since I'd noticed recurrent upper trap pain (3 really bad episodes had me completely stop my training) in the last year during or after my sets of chin ups . I can't do as many chin ups as I used to but so far I've been enjoying the positive effects. I feel my lats and lower traps much more, especially in the first part of the lift and I haven't experienced upper trap pain so far. I'm sure I'll be able to get a rep PR sometime this year...just with better form 💪😉 . @coachleeboyce has a great post on scapular activation and depression (specific to chin ups and pull ups) on his page if you guys wanna check it out! . . 🔥Record Personale di Esecuzione 🔥 È da un po' che mi sto impegnando ad utilizzare più dorsali e trapezi inferiori durante le mie trazioni alla sbarra. L'anno scorso ho accusato spesso dolori alla zona alta del trapezio (in 3 di questi casi mi sono fatta parecchio male, tanto da dovermi fermare completamente). Adesso faccio meno chin up di quelli che riuscivo a fare ma in compenso sto notando un notevole miglioramento nella mia capacità di utilizzare dorsali e trapezi inferiori, soprattutto nella prima fase dell'esercizio. Inoltre, non sto più accusando dolori da parte delle fasce alte del trapezio. I mean who wouldn't want to watch the latest episode of Outlander over a treadmill and some weights? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Here are the top 5 excuses people make to avoid exercise and how to overcome them. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1. No time - Change your thoughts about having no time. You only need to exercise 30 minutes per day. You don't even have to do it all at once. Can you squeeze in 15 minutes in the morning and 15 minutes in the evening? Go for a walk on your work breaks instead of chatting in the breakroom. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2. Too tired - Schedule in your exercise at the time of the day when you feel the most energy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 3. Family obligations - Ask family members to help out or get them involved in your exercise. How to break through a weight loss plateau 💪⁣ ⁣ Have you ever tried to lose weight but just can't seem to get past a certain number? No matter how many calories you cut and no matter how much you work out, the scale just won't budge?⁣ ⁣ Yep, I've been there. In fact, I've been there since I was a teenager. So I've been doing a little experiment with myself and I'll tell you something. It's working. For the first time since I was probably about 16 (so that's 10 years now), I have broken past my 130 pound number on the scale. I've been consistently holding at 127 and I'm just going to see where it goes from here. ⁣ ⁣ I'm not depriving myself. I'm not eating a ridiculously low amount of calories and I'm not working out 6 days a week. ⁣ ⁣ Our bodies are smart and stubborn, which is a lethal combo. They catch on to our routines after a while and will hang on for dear life to every ounce of body fat, so here's how to turn the tables on them.⁣ ⁣ 1️⃣ Don't cut calories. Your body needs a certain amount of calories and nutrients in order to thrive. When you cut back on how much you eat, your body adjusts to a low calorie diet and will then need even less calories in order for you to see further progress. ⁣ ⁣ Along with your body adjusting to lower calories, you're also going to kill your metabolism because your body is going to need another source of fuel and will start burning MUSCLE because you aren't giving it any other choice.⁣ ⁣ So instead of cutting calories out, re-evaluate the QUALITY of food you're having. Are you eating enough fruits and vegetables? Are you eating enough protein in order to hold on to muscle? Are you getting enough fat in your diet? Are you eating the right kind of carbs? ⁣ ⁣ Take a few days to track your meals and see where your numbers are and adjust your diet as needed. Sometimes it's just a small tweak to see some big results. ⁣ Your macros should look a little something like this: ⁣ ⁣ -Carbs 40-50% of total calories⁣ -Fat 20-30% of total calories⁣ -protein 20-30% of total calories⁣ ⁣ Continued in comments ⬇️
