MAMA WORKOUT HACK || Once upon a time I would weight train myself for an hour ea
MAMA WORKOUT HACK || Once upon a time I would weight train myself for an hour each day, take a 45min Pilates class, an hours Bootcamp/cardio/boxing class and simply during my PT clients I would join in for the abs part, needless to say I had the luxury of being a lot more active then I do today! As a full time Mama we are running on caffeine and love from our little ones, from the moment you wake up until the second you collapse in a heap at the end of the day we literally do not stop, let alone having time for ourselves in the capacity we used too. Now for me, yes my motivations are a blend of superficial, be the fittest and healthiest I can for my family and also give me a release to get through each day. Now for right now whilst I have a 9week old and 2yr old putting my workout clothes on and runners are the first things I do in the morning. Reason being I am soooo bloody tired and lacking motivation as a result of the sleep deprivation that I would likely bail on the concept of exercise if I didn’t. Now I don’t get anywhere near the amount of time to exercise as I once did, depending on the day and how the girls are travelling I get 20-50mins in the morning, I always aim for an hour so during the day whatever I didn’t get then I try to get in blocks throughout the rest. It might be ankle weights and Pilates while cutting up dinner, a band around my legs while shuffling around the house, ‘Emma wiggle Ballet legs’ with Aviana, or simply cranking the music and dancing with the girls! It’s a juggle, it can be frustrating however I am certainly better off for doing it! . Recently I have found a Mama Workout Hack that truly has worked for me lately to give me the best workouts I can have with two girls on my own and no equipment....... . PARK SESS - I do 10 rounds of 6-10 exercises, broken with a park sprint in between each round (see my stories for this weeks sessions). Aviana plays in the park and Jagger sleeps in the pram! Seriously, I'm telling you to take a second right now to do this! Think. 🧠 - How much time do you spend doing mind-numbing things like binge-watching Netflix, scrolling Facebook, or laying around on the couch? - What about your nutrition, are you focusing on foods that bring you energy? Do you control your eating habits or do your cravings/desires control you? - Are you active as much as you'd like to be or not sure how to flip the switch to start getting real results? - With these questions in mind, let's discuss the fix. - The true answer lies in beginning to make a switch. ✔️ - It doesn't have to be immediate, but can be a gradual progression... slowly turning your habits from ones that release negative outputs to actions that produce positive ones! - So.
