By eating breakfast, we can help to calm the common hunger pains we get during the late morning, early afternoon hours. You know, the time when you’re feeling hangry and go for whatever is easiest at the time. This also tends to not be the “healthiest” option we could have chosen. #Repost@r_mcgregor • • • • • • ❤️❤️❤️What is RED-s? RED-s, or Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport, is a collection of symptoms associated with low energy availability. This basically means that the energy being taken into the body and available is not sufficient to maintain biological processes as well as physical activity. The body always prioritises movement and so when there is low energy availability it compensates by going into energy preservation mode and thus it dials down many of the biological processes in the body such as the reproductive system, digestive, immunity, cardiovascular and growth and development in young athletes. RED-s can be involuntary, that is the individual is just not aware of how much energy is required for the training they are doing, including everyday activities such as commuting to work on top of their training. Voluntary RED-s is a more psychological driven condition where the individual chooses to make a change to their diet, training load and body composition as a direct response to wanting to improve their performance. But what starts out completely innocently can soon turn into a complex set of physical and psychological consequences. In my opinion, RED-s is actually probably more of a risk in the everyday runner or cyclist as not only are they combining training with work and probably life, they rarely have the support teams of Dieticians, medics, psychologists around them that elite sports people have, who can monitor their training load and energy intake. Turkey cutlets rolled with prosciutto, spinach and Manchego cheese. (4 servings) . Ingredients: . 6 cups packed baby spinach (4 ounces). 2 tsp. extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for brushing¼ tsp. salt, divided½ tsp. ground black pepper, divided. 4 (6-ounce) turkey cutlets, pounded ⅛" thick4 very thin slices prosciutto (2 ounces). 4 thin slices Manchego cheese (2 ounces) . Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Rinse spinach. Add spinach, along with any water that clings to the leaves, and cook, tossing, until barely wilted, about 1 minute. Drizzle with oil and season with ⅛ tsp. each salt and pepper. Let cool. . Place cutlets on a work surface and season both sides with the remaining ⅛ tsp. salt and ⅜ tsp. pepper. Lay a slice of prosciutto over each cutlet, then spread equal amounts of the spinach almost to the edges. . Place a slice of Manchego in the center and roll cutlets up. Same size jacket, 9 month difference. . Not only has my body changed in this short time but what amazes me more is how my mind has changed. I used to wear jackets to cover up my fat rolls and to hide under. Now I just wear them because I am cold 🥶 it’s crazy how this journey has been way more of a mental one rather than physical. We meet again Monday. This weekend was overwhelmed with events and responsibilities. I ate and drank both on Saturday and Sunday so I’m going to try and fast for 60 hours to get back to normal. I don’t feel like I’ve eaten a lot but I haven’t seen any changes on the scale. I also feel super bloated and know that I’d have a heart attack if I weighed myself right now. I can feel my body holding in all this water. I’m going to make the gym a priority this week and actually get there. I’ve been skipping too much, but life has been complicated recently. I’m very hopeful to get to 170 or below by the end of the year. That would put me just under my goal. It also means getting down another 17lbs. TOP-SET 🔥¿COMO AFRONTARLA? 🔥 . 🔝Top-set se refiere a la serie mas importante, normalmente con la mayor cantidad de peso que se utilizará en ese día para ese ejercicio. Yo las suelo hacer en un rango de repeticiones (5-10 por ejemplo) y con una intensidad máxima. El término creo que viene del powerlifting y en ese ámbito se hacen diferente, pero no voy a hablar de eso porque no lo conozco bien. 🧠Son series que requieren mucha concentración y preparación, aquí te dejo algunos consejos que a mí me ayudan: . 1️⃣Calienta bien, movilidad, estiramientos dinámicos y series de aproximación. Pero recuerda que el objetivo es calentar, no fatigarse. 2️⃣Creételo, en estas series el factor psicológico juega un gran papel, si dudas estas fuera. 3️⃣No tengas prisa, tómate tu tiempo en cada repetición. Como dirían @eclipsepump y @adriairlines, penalti a penalti 4️⃣Ponté la música que te encienda 🔥🎧. Varios estudios relacionan el entrenar con música con el aumento del rendimiento (1) 5️⃣Ve hasta arriba de cafeína ☕❤️ . Esta es mi top-set de peso muerto rumano de hace unos días, 132.5x10. #realtalk Kalorien zählen 💁🏼‍♀️ Zählt ihr Kalorien oder esst ihr komplett intuitiv ??? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Ich werde oft gefragt, wie man von Kalorien zählen wieder weg kommt. Das ist meist der Fall, wenn Leute wirklich krankhaft Kalorien zählen und vor allem aus Angst zu viel zu essen und wirklich ALLES tracken wollen und ein schlechtes Gewissen bekommen, wenn sie etwas essen wovon sie die Kalorien nicht kennen. Da kann ich wirklich empfehlen, man sollte schauen, wie man das bekämpft und aufhören Kalorien zu zählen ☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻 1️⃣ Das kann man indem man sich anfangs einen ungefähren Essensplan aufstellt mit Mengen die man braucht um auf ein gewisses Kalorienziel kommt am Ende des Tages 💪🏻 2️⃣ oder man orientiert sich eben an Portionen von anderen Personen (jedoch ist das meist sehr individuell !!). 3️⃣ Und dann sollte man einfach schauen auf das Hungergefühl zu hören, wenn dieses vorhanden ist 4️⃣ Außerdem brauch man einfach etwas Geduld und es wird sich dann mit der Zeit einspielen ❤️⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Aber Kalorien zählen, kann meiner Meinung nach auch gut sein oder eben einfach nicht „schlimm“. Auch ich zähle Kalorien aber mich stresst es kein bisschen.
