Sometimes it is hard to see progress. You can easily get discouraged and quit on yourself. However, I firmly believe most success comes from persistence and perseverance. Stay the course, weather the storms, and enjoy the process. . 126kg (not a PR), 112kg, 105kg. Not a massive gain over multiple years, but progress is progress and the journey sure as hell has been fun. Also glad I can now afford to pay for a haircut 😆 . I got engaged and planning our wedding (@mitchie_gee is really planning our wedding... but still) I have been taking on more clients than ever before, and still coaching multiple classes everyday! #GetTechnical with your PUSH from the floor: . While the start of the lift is technically a PUSH from the floor, we must be careful not to push too long (don't #KeepPushing). There is a proper sequence when talking about an effective pull that can be simplified to "Legs, Back, Legs." . From the ground, we primarily use our legs to push to the hang position -- then from the hang to the power position, we primarily use our back to hinge upward and open -- then we use our legs in a final effort to elevate the barbell at the top of the second pull. . In this instance with one of our Remote Athletes, he is pushing with the legs past the hang position which causes the legs to straighten prematurely. When executing a full lift, we must make sure to: . ✅Push through the ground at the start ✅Keep the barbell on the thighs ✅Stay patient and hinge open to the top . When the legs straighten early, it can cause: 🚫The lift to be forward 🚫The barbell to separate from the body 🚫Improper second pull . Just remember that the Olympic lifts are essentially a weighted jump and it's impossible to jump with straight legs!

What an incredible #strength symposium with top researchers @paulcomfort1975, @doc_haff, @drjlake, McMahon, Jones, @tdsandc, @nj_ripley, Harden, @ste_ross7, @matt_cuthbert96 . It has been an incredible and also fruitful experience. I have no words to describe it; what I can say is that I strongly recommend this university and this research group to anyone for taking his/her skills to another level 👌 . . After looking at previous footage it's always the left side. Lot of stuff today! Did a few weightlifting lifts and some squats. Video 1 good set of 4x5 at 357lbs get harder than I hoped but okay Video 2 was kind of a warm up set with squats but slower down fast almost jump back up. Video 3 and 4 were 2 different clean and jerks. Did 5x2 with a pretty easy weight.
