C1 Day11 -CYO reduced carb breakfast 🙌🏼. . I feel like each day is a day of two halves. I feel like I should be doing better after 10 days but I keep having slip ups! I’m totally fine during the day, then BAM, it’s get towards 5pm and I’m wanting to eat all the naughty food and drink! Se você pretende treinar ainda hoje e eu espero que você treine, segue algumas dicas... 1. Good Morning: excelente exercício para estimular toda a “cadeia posterior” (glúteos, isquiotibiais, eretores da coluna e quadrado lombar). O Good Morning é uma variação do clássico Stiff, ambos visam estimular o mesmo grupamento muscular, e por mais que seja tentador adicionar maior amplitude a este movimento, não é indicado, para evitar uma curvatura excessiva das costas, mantendo os eretores da coluna ativos potencializando assim o estímulo aos glúteos e isquiotibiais e diminuindo o risco de lesão devido a sobre carga na coluna lombar que existiria caso curvássemos as costas. 2. Elevação pélvica: da mesma forma que o exercício anterior, visa isolar os glúteos, isquiotibiais e estimula de forma efetiva o quadrado lombar, eretores da coluna e paravertebrais. Este exercício possui uma variação enorme: costas no solo ou apoiadas em um banco, pés afastados, pés unidos, pés sobre uma base fixa (banco, step, barra do espaldar), pés sobre um base instável (bola/bosu/TRX), base unilateral, etc. Cabe a você e ao seu professor determinaremm dentro do planejamento que tipo de variação buscar para obter os resultados pretendidos. Cada variação tem sua particularidade, seja para aumentar amplitude do movimento, isolar o estímulo ou recrutar mais ou menos os glúteos. No vídeo a variação foi trabalhar com e sem step, variando a amplitude do movimento alternando a ênfase entre glúteos (maior amplitude) e isquiotibiais (menor amplitude). Importante lembrar de não arquear as costas, principalmente quando trabalhar com cargas elevadas, para não causar um pinçamento dos discos lombares. For years I was misera
can you [ relate ] to this? . Dieting can be miserable. . For years I was miserable in my attempts at losing weight. . And I didn’t think there was any other way. . I could either sacrifice, suck it up, and just do what I had to in order to lose weight and be happy and content with my body. . Or I could be generally happy with my lifestyle and food/movement choices but completely uncomfortable in my body. . I felt as if I had to chose between what I wanted more: ➡️ a daily lifestyle that I enjoyed ➡️ having a body I was free and confident in . Each had their drawback. . Each left me miserable in some way or another. . I spent years thinking this was just how it was until I decided that I needed to find another way. . This couldn’t be how life was suppose to be lived. . There had to be a way to be comfortable and confident and not go about it in a miserable way. . And there was! . With the help of a coach, I discovered a new routine and rhythm that accomplished both. . I was putting in work every day, but I wasn’t miserable. . I was eating my favorite foods, doing exercises I enjoyed, and was losing weight. . I didn’t think it was possible at first, but week after week went by and it only got easier. . The routine became more natural and it became my new normal. . And today I find myself enjoying my life and also living in a body I love. . I have found the best of both worlds. . And I want you to know that these worlds are available for you too. . You don’t have to be miserable dieting anymore. . There is a lifestyle that will work for you that gets you to your goals without all the agony. . And if you haven’t found what that is yet, keep looking. . Keep working towards finding what works for you. . If you aren’t sure where to start, I would love to help you. Swipe for a transformation pics 🤩 This is one of my private clients who took charge of her life and mental and physical health just 8 short weeks ago. When she came to me all she knew was that she wanted a change, to find some purpose, and to stop comparing herself to other people. Through our 8 weeks together, she learned how to fit in her meals during her 10-11 hour work days, cook for her hubby and 2 babies while still eating for her goals, how to work out in an empowered way (knowing WHAT she’s doing and WHY she’s doing it) and how to hold herself to a higher standard every. Damn. Day. No, it was not always easy. But it sure was worth it! I got to see her get stronger every week, surprise herself with how much she really could do when she tried, I got to see her begin to embody who she really is. And now that her 8 weeks with me is over, she has grown her own wings to continue to make changes, grow, and become better ALL on her own!! I love to help people be empowered and moved by the same thing that changed my life for the better. It’s amazing to me that through changing our actions, our beliefs follow. When you make time for yourself, do things that value your health and wellness, you then believe that you are worth more, and those old bad habits and beliefs die. The confidence journey is not one to be taken lightly. I was going to the gym 2x a day (one session to lift and would do the stair climber on my lunch), I was unsure of why my body wasn’t losing weight when i was working out. I tried to eat healthy but would cave and eat Burger King to try to cover my disappointment after not seeing the scale move on day 3. I didn’t want to be noticed because I didn’t feel confident in my skin. I despised going shopping or getting new clothes because they didn’t make me feel beautiful. It has been a LONG journey but to the girl out there who may feel the same - it’s not an impossible journey. 👊🏻🎤I am now enrolling for my February bootcamp and accepting 14 new ladies to join our Self Love Fit Club Community. Today was a much needed rest day. I was at a work event and as predicted there w
Today was a much needed rest day. I was at a work event and as predicted there was tea, biscuits and cake galore! I had a cup of tea (only my second one since being on plan!), but skipped the cake and biscuits 🎉. I unexpectedly stayed through to have a catch up with my business partner and so ended up having to eat in the pub! It was a weatherspoons though and it shows the calories, I stuck to the principles of a rest day and so chose based on getting enough protein, a bit of fat, salad and no/reduced carbs, it was also one of the lowest calorie things on the menu (560, but I scrapped a sauce and got no bun so it was less again). I was pleased with myself! Food today: Breakfast: PBJ Smoothie Snack 1: Grenade Carb killa bar (white chocolate cookie) Lunch: Weatherspoons original gourmet chicken burger (grilled chicken, no bun, no peppercorn sauce, switched fries for salad with no dressing). Essentially chicken, cheese, salad, bacon Dinner: Chicken buffalo bites with blue cheese salad Snack 2: apple and peanut butter Overall I’m happy with today, I’m pleased that I didn’t cave for cake and I didn’t cave in the pub and have anything bad. Identify it. And accept it. 2️⃣ Love yourself where you are RIGHT NOW and forgive yourself if needed. Stand in the mirror and tell yourself that this body is yours and while you may seek physical change - you LOVE and APPRECIATE this body for all it has gone through and endured. Tell yourself OUT LOUD that you love yourself and your body and that you’re committing to treating your body with love. 3️⃣Commit to ONE small improvement this week. Desperate people are irrational people… . Do you remember the last time you were running late and had to be somewhere by a certain time? . You’d drive faster than usual, maybe cut some corners and take little less notice of the road signs. . Or that time you were starving and felt somewhat faint. You’d grab the nearest chocolate bar just to get your energy levels back up. . You see, when we’re desperate we make irrational decisions, having little thought about the side affects. . We just NEED “it” to happen. . It’s how most people approach their diet and eventually fail. . They’re so desperate for change that they’d literally do anything like drink “slimming tea”, cut out carbs or starve themselves - disregarding the health implications of these short-term, unsustainable methods. . The fact that “slimming tea” can interfere with your bodies natural digestive system and make you reliant on a tea to poop… . Or cutting out carbs can makes it harder to concentrate (lowering blood sugar levels) and lead to constipation (from lacking the soluble fibre your body needs). . Or the fact that starving yourself is stupid and can put you in a hospital bed needing a drip to get your essential vitamins and mineral levels back up. . Is it REALLY worth losing a few pounds if the cost is serious health issues? . If you’ve started 2019 desperate to lose weight by following some of these irrational tactics to drop a few pounds but questioning their sustainability, I encourage you to STOP with this mentality of thinking like you NEED to rush and instead start thinking about your health first. . Losing weight is the easy part but doing it the healthy way takes patience, a smart strategy, the right support and guidance. . Starting off with a very tight groin and doms in my legs, I figured I would concentrate on upper body. I searched the net for upper body hiit, they all contained loads of leg moves. 🥴 typical. To provide my legs with a little break I found the Bodycoach 25 minute cardio and ab hiit burner. High knees, ab bikes, mountain climbers, leg raises, chest to floor burpees, reverse crunches, snap jumps, and commandos. 40 seconds work, 20 seconds rest. Ouch 🔥 I kinda needed that. I’m missing BBG though Joe. I’m not a mom (yet) but I want to shoutout those who are. The sacrifices you make, the lack of sleep, the juggling of laundry, dishes, diaper changes, cooking, cleaning...Lord knows i could go on. Moms do A LOT. This little guy was sick and couldn’t attend daycare and i was so excited his momma asked me if I could watch him for the morning while she went to work. Resigning from my job in July to pursue coaching isn’t something everyone understands but in this moment, I was thankful for the ability to be able to help out my dear friend. I didn’t have to call in sick or check my schedule, I could simply say, “I’ll be there.” This right here was why I never quit and my future family is why I never will.

Ok Shelby, you say diets don't work and don't have to sacrifice favorite foods for my goals? But how when I want to loose weight? . Girl, I got you! . I know we all wonder how is that possible? So, let me break it down for you with some nutrition hacks👇🏾 . Before eating, ask yourself, are you really hungry? Take a moment to reflect and identify if YOU ARE eating for hunger, and not for another reason like sadness, stress, or boredom. Also, slow down when eating! It can take up to 20 minutes for you to feel full and satisfied. Still feeling hungry? Drink some water and be sure to keep healthy snacks on had to avoid extreme hunger or over eat. . Make sure the calories are worth it. If you're like me and enjoy dessert, make a plan how you can eat that dessert while maintaining a healthy eating plan overall. Again, ask yourself, "is this worth it"? Sometimes you might find yourself not wanting to eat that certain food and would rather spend the calories on something else that will be worth it! . Limit/Stop drinking your calories! We often tend to forget that we can drink our calories! And that can lead to some trouble because they don't produce that fullness feeling like we get from food. Even those drink that seem healthy and sometimes marked as healthy or nutrient packed, can still be full of sugar even if they are calorie dense. . Flip your ingredients. That ice cream you love?Instead of eating that ice cream topped with fruit, eat a bowl of fruit topped with ice cream. See what I did there? Sometimes you just have to rethink, without having to completely give up these foods we love to have. . Eat what you love, but don't forget to add more fruits and veggies! You can add some spinach into your smoothies or add those veggies into a wrap or soup. Fruit can be added to yogurt or oatmeal. . Continued on in the comments👇🏾
