Macronutrient Series- Fat ⠀ Fat is the most calorically dense of the there macronutrients. While fat doesn’t aid much in our quest for our desired body weights, there is a minimum you should consume to aid in hormone production, absorption of fat soluble vitamins, and general health. ⠀ Minimum fat intake is around 0.3g/lb bodyweight. You can certainly increase that at the risk of having to drop carbohydrates to off set the increase. ⠀ If you’re a strength or physique athlete I would error on the side of having more carbohydrates than fats. ⠀ Most other can get away with a much higher fat intake. ⠀ Limiting your intake of trans fat and focusing on unsaturated fats is a great idea. Trans-fat has been shown to lead to cardiovascular diseases. ⠀ Unsaturated and polyunsaturated fats such as nuts, olive oil, avocados, canola oil, fatty fish, and grass fed meat should be of priority. Omega-6,3 are essential fats and need to be consumed through the diet. ⠀ Fats take up much less space in the stomach. For trainees that are having a hard time gaining weight, consuming more fats may aid in achieving a higher caloric intake ⠀ Lastly, consuming fats outside the workout window will improve digestion time of much need protein and carbohydrates. ⠀ #hierarcynutrition

A common question I get from clients is which ones better a #BackSquat or a #FrontSquat ? 🤔 _____________________________________ I often hear people say that #FrontSquats are harder than #BackSquats ... this is usually just because you need to use a lighter load due to the positioning of the barbell and the upright position you are forced into. It’s easy to get confused and view this as harder because you can’t lift as heavy! 💪🏼 The Front Rack position also takes a lot of flexibility through the Lats, Wrists, & Shoulders to get into, so people will avoid performing it rather than addressing their mobility issues by going to see a certified #FascialStretchTherapist like @sarahbeauclair . 🤷🏼‍♂️ _____________________________________ So what is it then? Which ones better? The answer is actually neither, they’re both great and ultimately the goal of the training phase should determine which one you use. A properly designed program by a good strength coach should incorporate both! 👊🏼 In the strength training world, it is important to get out of the mindset that one exercise is better or worse, or easier or harder than another. I do not always enjoy a big bowl of greens everyday! 😖⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I’ve been drinking a serving of kale each day for a few reasons:⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 1️⃣ Veggies keep us fuller longer than some other carbs. Kale is one of the most nutrient dense greens on the PLANET! 🥬 ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 2️⃣ Vegetables are filled with micronutrients and vitamins that our body greatly benefits from. Being healthy from within plays a huge role in our everyday life!⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 3️⃣ I come from a family with health problems, cancer, etc and my main focus is to try my very best to PREVENT PREVENT PREVENT! 💥 Eating healthy is way cheaper than medical bills! 🏥 ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 4️⃣ Kale is so versatile, especially with smoothies! Targetku dalam waktu 30 hari ke depan, nomor celana sudah bisa di angka 28 (doakan ya haha 🤣). Perut buncit seperti gentong ini biasa disebut dengan belly fat. Dan yang menyebabkan belly fat adalah tumpukan 2 macam lemak (visceral fat & subcutaneous fat) yang berlebihan. Belly fat ini menutupi otot perut, sehingga otot sixpack jadi tidak terlihat. Makanya kalau mau sixpack, bukan dengan cara sit up 100x, namun dengan cara mengikis habis belly fat terlebih dahulu.
