This is what a normal non work out day looks like for me. This is my base line to make sure I get something done. Haven't been able to workout these last 2 days do to having a robotics competition. #sundaystretch - I get exceedingly tight muscles in my abdomen. Probably due to a mixture of continually trying for that six pack, sucking it in and stress and tension of life. I have found stretching to be the number 1 most important factor for me in recovery and relaxing my stomach - making life a lot more comfortable. Not only does our constant search for abs make for a tight tummy but our constant need for the 🍑 does too. Yes - stretch the tummy out but stretching my legs daily has been most beneficial. Why? The muscles around the hips all pull around abdomen. In particular for me - my Psoas muscle that runs around lower hip and into front of leg pulls on my stomach muscles. This Psoas stretch here - helps my tight stomach more than any other. Quad stretches and Inside thigh stretches daily have all helped my tummy feel a whole lot better too. Taking 10 minutes for this daily will change how you look and feel. Let me know how you get on 💪

How To Build Muscle Fast - by @thesuperherotrainer - Train Muscle Groups 2-4x/Week: Make sure you are trying to hit each muscle group at least twice a week. - Caloric Surplus: This simply means you are consuming more food then you are burning which means your body will have enough energy to build muscle. - Getting stronger: Getting stronger means you are pushing your body to its limits and constantly putting more stress on it. This means more groth - Big Lifts: 80% of your workout should be big compound movements. Examples include bench press, squats and deadlifts. - Protein is the building block of muscle gain. You need protein to build new muscle and recover existing muscle from hard training. Consume 0.8-1 gram per pound of bodyweight. - Sleep 7-8 Hours: Sleep is crucial to recovery and building new muscle. Muscle is actually formed during rest. You need at least 7-8 hours of sleep to get good results. - Train 3-6x A Week: Consistency is so important. Nada q alguien te pueda decir te puede ayudar a ver las cosas como son. Tu solita/ito lo tienes q aser. Y asta risa te da y piensas “que pendeja verdad.” Hahaha pero así creo q son las cosas, y tal ves de esa manera devén de ser. Everyone’s probably seen someone squat/deadlift/bench/etc. with chains hanging off the bar. Chains provide what’s known as accommodating resistance! . With any lift, certain portions of the lift are harder than others. E.g. with a squat; getting up out of the bottom of a squat is significantly harder than the lock out at the top. Accommodating resistance is resistance that changes to match this. Sticking with the squat example, When you put chains on the sides of the bar, most of the chains are off the ground when you’re at the top of the squat, so there is more resistance, whereas, at the bottom of the squat, most of the chains are on the ground, so there’s less resistance. Essentially, the chains overload the lock out portion of a lift! . Chains are great for developing max strength and power. They teach athletes to move with the same intent throughout the entire range of motion of the lift! . Chains are more of an advanced method for developing strength/power and therefore only really necessary/recommended for those with a more advanced training age! .
