Buy the damn clothes - I went to the store and bought the skirt normally the skirt would’ve terrified my life and made me feel so insecure because I had to try on ever different size before I feel comfortable in the size that I am in. - I am damn proud of my curves that huge thing in the back up of me to the pooch in the front because I am beautiful!! I am strong We are some powerful ass women and we deserve to feel like we can wear clothes. Never let the clothes wear you. Never shop for clothes that are going to flatter your figure because that is what society tells you to do. By the damn clothes that you want to wear because you want to wear that miniskirt and you want to wear that body con dress. Wear the damn clothes because you feel amazing in them. Do not let brands and companies make you seem and feel as though you have to buy clothes because that is your body type clothing. Buy the clothes that you feel strong and amazing in. So buy the damn skirt buy that dress buy those leggings buy whatever you want because we don’t make our bodies fit the clothes the clothes should fit our bodies.

From the mouths of babes. Yesterday, my very young and very wise girl said something that made me extremely happy and yet it also saddened me to my core. "Mom, I have purple on my eyes." We were facing the mirror together and, as I fixed her hair, she was looking at her reflection intently. It was the first time she noticed the naturally dark circles under her eyes. Her eyes are set pretty deep and they naturally pool a purple tone underneath. I simply agreed with her observation and she immediately gave me a big smile. She continued with, "They're so pretty. I love my purple eyes!" I instantly choked up. Why do under eye circles have to be considered unsightly? Why has society got us under their thumb of what forms of beauty are acceptable or pleasing? All she sees is a pretty color around her eyes and owns it! Makeup. No makeup. Natural. Bold. Creative. Conservative. Choose you. Be you. Love you. Have you ever felt stuck, like progress wasn't being made, because the scale wasn't moving? Same here. Believe me, it's a hard mindset to change. - Just because the numbers aren't where you'd like them to be doesn't mean things aren't moving in the right direction. I promise. - My #1 tip is to find something else to focus on. A goal that keeps you moving in the right direction because you are able to see that changes are being made. - For me, I'm still hanging on those chin-ups and working towards and pull-up. I was able to pump out 7 today (definitely not consecutively.) Having this as my motivation has been what's keeping me on track. - Give it a try for a few weeks and see how your mindset changes. What is your goal? 💪🏻

⭐️my happy place about 4 years ago I took my first cycling class (not at CycleBar) and pretty much hated every second of it. fast forward 3 years later, I moved to Greenville and was talked into going to a CycleBar charity ride (thank you, Tommy!) after that class I was back again and again because it allowed me to push myself physically and mentally in a space where I felt comfortable. overtime, riding became a feeling that I wanted more than just once or twice a week. it was second nature to loose myself in the music and come out of class feeling stronger. Got up this morning before breakfast and before the rain comes to get in a couple of Yoga Poses and Stretches to start the day right. Here is my Japanese Garden in my backyard I set up a few years back when coming home late from a long stressfull day at the office to detox, breathe & chill. Now these are some of my quik stretches I do before any workout. Yes 54 this year where Breathing, yoga stretching, weight training, calisthenics, hiking, family activities, gardening, outdoors, dog walking, eating organically clean as much as I can has me wearing the same shirt size as 20 yrs ago. No Diets here💪 Give me a shout if any questions on some of my training/eating habits, gardening, Growing your own Organic Food, ..💪🌱🌱🌱 poses done quickly due to lack of space. usually hold the pose for 3 to 5 slow breathes. The mental game is half the battle. Thinking positive, picturing yourself in the race and meeting your goal is a huge help. It doesn’t matter what race it is, I always start to get nervous about a week before so I try to use the nerves to my advantage and start saying I’m excited instead of nervous. I picture myself meeting my goal over and over again. I remind myself of all the work I’ve done and that I’m ready for it. That trick works for more than just running races. What do you do when you get nervous for something?

But the fact that this IS ME ...blows me away! . The changes and transformations sneak up on you, because I'm not just focusing on the physical changes...I'm working on MIND🧠 BODY💪🏿 & SOUL🧘🏼‍♀️ . Let’s look at what most people do... Short, intense efforts- EXTREME diets, extreme workouts, one yard sale, a budget for a month....but long term, 5,10 years later, little has improved. . SO- WHAT IS THE KEY?!?! . Small, seemingly insignificant positive habits in these areas consistently over time. 😎 . What happens when you put an ice cube in a room at 25 degrees, then every hour, you increase the temperature by 1 degree? 26- no change. 27- no change. 28,29,30,31...NO CHANGE. You have spent 6 hours taking action with no change. THEN- 32. CHANGE. You’ve broken the threshold! Quickly the ice will turn to water because of the small consistent changes. How many people QUIT at 31- never to break their threshold?! 😮 Next month, I’m going to be leading a community of people through an accountability group teaching small habits of SUCCESS in your health, happiness, productivity, relationships and in living a fulfilled LIFE!
