ALL THE SAME WEIGHT . AUG ‘17 - AUG ‘18 - JAN ’18 . 1.5 years and a lot more than just my shape has changed, weight has remained the same through body recomposition, loosing fat and building muscle. The scales is only a unit a measure and that’s simply all it is. . Nutrition plays a major role in any fitness journey and implementation is key. I’ve been able to achieve a lot with the little nutrition info I have so I cannot wait to learn more on the @macnutrition course soon 🙌🏻

There is a 1000 different ways to lose weight and it’s never the same answer for everyone!! - This is one way and surprisingly / unsurprisingly an effective one at that! - Calorie counting. - Now this isn’t a be all and end all and not necessary for everyone but does work. - Even if only for the short term until you find your happy medium where you can manage your weight a bit more intuitively. - Why calorie counting? - I may have pinched this analogy but it makes so much sense! - If you were spending too much money and your bank was forever minus, how would you solve this? - You would keep a closer eye on your bank balance and spending to make sure you don’t spend too much. Simple right? - This is the same with calorie counting, if your weight is increasing it means your eating too many calories than what your expending and you need to balance the books! - Calorie counting will then allow you to do this. Only an idiot would continue to keep spending and spending money without checking their bank account. It’s only going to come back to haunt you in the long term. - How about keeping an eye on your calories like you would your bank balance it’s the sensible thing to do! This will definitely get you closer to your goals! - Anybody enjoy calorie counting?

Killed it squatting tonight! 💪 Finally got a leg session in. 😅 Got 2 sets of 10 135, set of 5 185, 2 sets of 5 225, set of 1 245, set of 1 275, set of 1 295, set of 1 315, set of 2 315, set of 5 275 and a set of 10 225 pause reps. 🤘 Legs are feeling good. Back was bothering at first but the pain actually went away after my first single with 275. I feel fine after this squat session. Very happy with this workout! Form is getting better and better each session. 365 slow and controlled rep by June is the goal! 🙏

I absolutely love this. When I was a teenager, I used to think that 41 was really old! Now, I am doing 65kg deadlifts, after doing the kettlebells class. Trust me, if I, who battles with low self esteem, who battled PND with both of my boys, chunky, and probably the oldest woman in that “bro & gal gym part of the health club” can do it, you can too! My kettlebells class is full of women who are all shapes and sizes and of all ages. The young fit ones tend to be closer to the fitness instructor, and us “oldies” always stand in the back row, but we sweat & huff & puff; we get rid of all the day’s stresses. I love this sign because it’s so true. My husband was one of those insane people who run every day for hours on end, then in 2013 he had a freak running accident where he snapped his foot off (it got reattached again); he can never run again. Even if he tried, he can’t, it hurts him too much. But he can swim & do callisthenics. Ladies, the “I can’t”, the “I’m too old for this”, the “The gym is full of young and fit people; I don’t belong there”, is all bollocks. It’s all in our heads. We need to be healthy now, so that we can have longer, more comfortable lives later. We need to be around for our children for a long time. Get a good sports bra, buy some trainers & some tops and leggings (Lidl & Aldi do great sports clothing, so it doesn’t have to cost a lot) and just put one foot in front of the other.
