I wanted to show you one full set of my workout because when I work, I work! There is no checking my phone or texts between reps. There is not extra breaks. It’s about me pushing myself to do the work, feel the burn and increase my endurance. Because the way this program is designed it’s about keeping your heart rate up to not only build strength in your muscles but build cardiovascular endurance! Meaning I can chase my kids more without feeling out of breath. And it works! My workout is my time and I planned only a limited amount of time. That means I work work work! (Yes, this is sped up a lot). This is how I fit my workout time in my daily life. Take time to plan ahead and stick with it! My speed has improved, my energy is up, my focus to push myself further than I thought possible. . . This is why I will never give up, even when it gets hard ( I have bad days ) but even on those bad days I still do the things that make me feel better ( workout & PD ) it is those hard days that make me stronger and that's why I keep going! . . Cardio, what once was my weakest day is one of my strongest! Because with consistence comes endurance. Do you struggle keeping your breath under control when doing cardio? ME TOO! It’s not as bad as it used to be. The way to combat it is to focus on your breathing. Just because your feet are going fast doesn’t mean your breathing does. In through your nose and out through your mouth. And just keep going and every time you do cardio just push yourself one more rep longer. Over time and consistency, you can do this too! It's me vs. me 👊🏼 . . These pictures are about a month apart. This past month I've learned more about myself and how I'm in control of the choices I make. I switched up my routine with a new program (which is 🔥) & I've been more mindful of my food choices. I know when I’m stress eating 😬 I may not be in my best shape like I was earlier this year, but I defiantly feel more like myself than I have in awhile. I think that’s most important. . . I think working on the mind should be #1 when taking care of yourself. Personal development has changed my life, I never even use to read or wanted to listen to a book. Now I devote at-least 30 mins to personal development a day. Mostly every morning on my commute to work. I look forward to that half-hour drive because I know that’s when I get to FOCUS on me, becoming the best version of myself. I’ll never stop working on my mind. It can either destroy you or help you. So I choose to help myself, especially if I have the tools I need to accomplish that. . . You know you are working for results when you bring out the big ones! Starting to use what I used to call “my husband’s weights” more. Going to have to find and have easier access to his 30’s and 35’s now because the 25 pound weights for leg day, was almost comfortable (until the last 3 reps and I by legs and booty were burning!) and that 20 pound weight felt like air compared to the 25’s! I’ve worked so hard for this strength! I’ve come so far! This year has been that life changing year for me and the rest of my life! Exercise is a daily habit for me. Eating more veggies is not unusual anymore and it’s just part of my life. Quitting my excuses and going. For what I want because I can! Fight for what you ant. It’s so worth it! I had to pause & take a breather multiple times throughout the workout. 15 minutes into the workout I really did not think I was going to be able to finish it. It's been a busy morning for this girl🙋🏻‍♀️ woke up at 6am and started my orders for the holidays🌿🍂🍪 ( all sorts of cookies for Thanksgiving & a cake for a suprise engagement party 💍! ) . . Taking a break to snack on some greek yogurt with my @beachbarsnack before I start week 3 (final week😃) of my program! It may be Wednesday and I'm just starting my week, but that's the beauty of this journey. I make it work for me. I just came back from a girls weekend upstate, (had the best time 🎂🥂🎲🎈🛍🍾🍁🌤) and going back to work is always an adjustment after a fun weekend away. But it's #noexcusenovember which means just because the holidays are coming doesn't mean I stop taking care of myself. This is an all-year round ( lifelong🛣) journey. If anything, I focus even more so on myself during this time of year. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy all the goodies during family and friend gatherings (Thanksgiving is 🙌🏻) , but its what you do consistently during the rest of the year that counts. . . Pretty much what I'm saying is this is the perfect time to start taking care of YOU! and if you don't know where to start, I'm only a message away🙋🏻‍♀️ I have the tools and resources to get you on the right track. I can do hard things, yes I can! Trying out one of the new workouts added to my 80 day program, because why not! Let’s challenge ourselves for fun! But man, it was a challenge. Honestly the first half 4 moves are all legs, then the next 5 are all upper body moves. And in the end when everything is put together, it’s a full body exhaust fest. But I’m doing it. Because I like a challenge. And because I can! You can do this too! If you’ve been watching my page and think you could never do the moves I’ve been doing, YOU CAN! It just takes consistency and dedication. And honestly, if I can do it, anyone can and I know you prob hear that all the time, but in just a mom with 3 kids, trying to raise them to be decent people, dishes to do, food to cook that gets rejected by at least 1 child every time, laundry to sort and put away and bathrooms to clean. Let's get real for a minute....✌ When I started this journey, I absolutely hated working out!!!! 🚫 ✖I was NEVER the athletic one growing up. ✖I never played sports. ✖I never ran anywhere and to this day I despise running... I don't even think I would run if there were a fire!!!🔥 So, when I started this journey, I really wasn't sure how this "working out everyday thing" would go🤔 Trust me when I say this... it took me a LONG time before I started to enjoy working out each day! Had it not been the support and accountability from my challenge group I would not have stuck with this!!!! I can honestly say that consistency over time COMBINED WITH seeing results, seeing things happen, seeing parts of my body start to tone up, parts of my body that I have never seen toned before.... THAT'S when I realized that getting up and moving each day along with cutting out all the fast food & processed foods I was eating would help me reach my goals!!!!! If you just started this journey don't give up. Be consistent. Join a support group of positive, like-minded women. If you don't have a group to join, find a friend who is also on a health and fitness journey and team up with her. If you have been on this journey for awhile and still not seeing results... take a look at what you're doing.. are you being consistent? Are you showing up each day? Do you have a support group? Today I wanted to jump out of my own skin. I was so uncomfortable, so anxious, I literally wanted to crawl out of my own skin. Sounds weird... I know. I have no clue what triggered it and I’m still not really feeling like myself. But I wanted to share with you all how I cope with that feeling.🥺 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ First I reached out to someone who would understand. I’m so lucky I have people I can text and say. “I’m not feeling myself today”. And they respond back letting me know that it’s okay. Second thing I did was rearrange my living room (avoiding all things I actually had to get done today) and third and final thing is I opened up my personal development book. 📖 💕 The words of a self help book, a good podcast, a motivational video. Those things have saved me so many times. So to you this picture might just look like a chick reading. I’ll be the first to tell you that if you e got kids, you can still exercise even with them around but when the little ones are around always be mindful of them and you for safety! Doing fast moving cardio. Moves where it’s a lot of ups and downs. Or weights in my hands I’m extra watchful when I’ve got Elyse around. I’m going to go a little slower or not go fill out. Plus I talk to my kids and let her know that I’m doing jumping or moving around and direct her to stay in front of me. It’s because I don’t know if she is going to get in my area or I don’t want to trip over her if she changes direction like she usually does. But then you see the difference when she isn’t around. I’m attacking the moves more. I’m more in! And most of the time the kids won’t be around me the whole workout. They come and go! (Generally when the camera is on! I learned something today. I said I already knew it, but today, I REALLY knew. It all came together in my thinking. It was; Consistency is all that matters. That’s it. Nothing profound or groundbreaking, but something I never truly realised until today. I was walking to different parts of the building at work and I kept noticing how good I felt. I felt fit, confident, happy. I noticed this and so I began to think of why. Why am I feeling like this now? I’ve had a busy, long week and it’s Friday. Why do I feel so good? And I realised that it was because of consistency. I am doing what I have to do to achieve the goals I want to achieve, every day! * I want to lose weight - instead of guessing my portions, I use my containers for every meal and snack. ✅ *I want to be healthy - instead of putting off or missing workouts because I’m too tired and have too much to do when I get home, I get up 45 minutes earlier and do my workout before the day begins. ✅ * I’m too tired and stressed to do any school work at home - I do it as soon as I get in so it is done and the rest of the evening is mine, every day. ✅ And it has made such a huge difference! Being able to work out at home and eat what I want to eat (within reason!) has helped me to achieve this. But the main message is; Consistency is the key.

I felt AMAZING today 🙌🏻👊🏻💯 . I’m not sure if it’s the workouts, better nutrition, or breakfast smoothies (or all 3), but I what I am sure of is that it feels SO GOOD to be back on a routine, and I’m already seeing results in just a few days! . Today at school, I felt strong, confident, capable, and just plain ON and that is SO motivating for me to keep going! Oh and not to mention, the 20+ other people in our private accountability group doing the same thing 👯‍♀️- having them to cheer me on and seeing them showing up too makes it that much easier to push that ▶️ button every day! . The goal for each of these moves is to wake up your glutes! So that you feel it in your hamstrings and booty! That’s what’s going to active those deep glute muscles! 2 sets of 15 reps each! Weighted heel press (I keep my foot flexed and heel pressing towards my butt in the raised/working foot) Marching glute bridges with loops (I feel like I dig my heel into the ground of the leg not marching to stabilize myself more ) Standing loop hinge (MY FAVE MOVE! I keep the weight in my heels as I bend and hinge back up and do an extra squeeze of my butt when fully standing) Reverse straight leg lunge with weights (I keep the weight in my heel of the stabilizing leg) Weights and loops optional! Post workout selfie after my mentally and physically HARD, workout today and I still can’t believe here I am 42 days into my 3rd round, haven’t missed a day, and am feeling amazing! Of course I’m going to smile about it because I have finally achieved what I’ve wanted for years. The motivation, dedication and habit to workout daily! Exercising is now just part of my regular day life. So much so even my kids know the schedule. Collin being my mini task master telling me to “WORKOUT” cause he knows he can’t go to school until after I finish my workout. This 80 day program has been the game changer I needed to finally get me working towards my goals and seeing them actually happen. I pooped my pants — TWICE. 😳 . The first time I was in 6th grade reading class. This particular day, EVERYONE kept asking to go to the bathroom, and you could tell how annoyed my teacher was. . That’s when it hit me. 🤮 . My stomach cramped up. A wave of nausea came over me. I got real sweaty but also had chills. I started rocking back in forth in my chair, giving myself a pep talk, and literally PRAYING I could get through the wave of pain that hit. . I couldn’t. I literally got up and RAN out of the class. . I ruined my brand new Hollister jeans. I had to call my mom and sit in the office, with poop all over me. And the next day, I had to make up some lie about why I never made it back to class. 😶 . The second time was a year later. . I was staying with a friend and we were walking around her neighborhood — the same neighborhood my boyfriend lived in. So naturally, he walked with us. And naturally, we snuck off to hold hands and be cute little 7th graders. 🤗 . Well, it was cute. Until it hit me. 🤦🏻‍♀️ . Pain, nausea, sweat, chills. I knew I was going to throw up and/or poop my pants. . So, I just got up and ran away. I said my friend was calling (she wasn’t). I said we had to be home (we didn’t). But I ran and just kept running. I ended up behind some bushes, where I threw up, and then took my pants off and 💩 . The years following would include many “close calls.” Getting up in the middle of a movie, or choir practice, or in the middle of the night when I should be sleeping. . And into my adulthood, I’ve literally had to spend up to an hour or more at times in a bathroom. I’ve stopped in the nastiest of gas stations and even on the side of the road. And two days ago, I literally had to poop in a cup and deliver it to my doctor. 🙃 . My “why” is a lot more than fitting into a pair of jeans. It’s so I can make it to Hattiesburg without stopping 4 times. It’s so I don’t have to get out of line at Disney. It’s so I don’t have another surgery. It’s so I can LIVE MY BEST LIFE. . So, I’m gonna keep on with my chocolate shake. I’m gonna keep on with how I eat. I’m gonna keep on with my at home workouts. . Because my HEALTH depends on it! . • •

And never did I think i would be able to do a knee to the ground lunge in an unstable environment like my foot on a slider. This is strength. This is what consistency is. This is what progress is. And it has nothing to do with what the scale says. Progress is improving your coordination, your range of motion. How you feel. How you think of yourself. Don’t let the number on the scale determine your worth or if you’ve made enough progress. Track it by what you can do better than yesterday, a week ago, a month ago and even a year ago. Daily life goes on around me every morning when I do my workout. I no longer have to wait until the kids are napping to get my workout in. It’s easier and I feel better if I do my workout first thing. But it took some patience of me and my kids. No excuses though! Get it done because it’s what our bodies and minds need! Moms: every Sunday, sit down with your schedule for the entire week. Everyone’s stuff they have going on. Plug it all in on your calendar and then look for 30-45 min that you can dedicate to you getting in your workout at least 5 days this week! This is how I make time daily for my workouts. It’s something that I put on the calendar and make happen because if I don’t, it won’t happen, EVER! It’s not about having the time to workout. It’s about making time for it! Low quality video , high quality workout 💪🏼 . . Tonight’s motivation to workout... Daylight saving time 🙌🏻 girl loves her sleep 😴 but a little non-scale victory I would like to share.. I was able to beat my time by 30 seconds during the challenge round at the end of the workout. It's called the ladder move . 10 burpees / 1 pushup then 9 burpees / 2 pushups etc.. Last week I wasn't able to beat the clock but this week I beat it with time to spare! Just goes to show you the scale isn't the only thing to use to be able to track your progress! It's always a good feeling to see your self progress, every little bit counts ✨ . .
