Me failing at 50kg 😂 Posting this because I focus a lot on PBs on Instagram, when this still shows my progress. After I failed I wasn’t too phased and normally missing a 1RM after a program would ruin my day/week. So I feel like I’m getting a much better relationship with training...🤗 Secondly, it highlights areas I need to improve at especially getting stronger at that sticking point, and I feel like my set-up has deffo improved💪🏻 Going to keep grafting and hit it again in a couple of weeks! #strength#benchpress#chestday#winchester#gym#fitness#girlswholift

Chest day! Time to get so pumped I go from a A cup to a B cup! It's been a minute since my last post because I've been very busy and I've been making adjustments to my diet so I can fit more calories in. I've was stuck at 185 and needed more calories to continue to grow. So I'll be taking more pics of what I'm eating now and explaining why I'm eating what I am and hopefully give you a better idea if you need to do the same. Remember I'm trying to put weight on for the next 2 to 3 weeks so i will be consuming alot of foods and some foods that dont fit the healthy diet stigma that everyone has. I have been eating like this now for a week and I feel much better energy wise I have finally started to gain weight and I'm right around 190lbs and yes I'm getting fatter too but it's the nature of the beast sometimes if you want to grow you have to let the abs kind of go for a bit and focus on eating and growing! I’ve been neglecting these for sometime now 😩 Jamie has put a lot of his time this week into my macros and creating a personalised plan for me. I’ve been bulking now for around 8 months and now it’s time to make a mini cut. I’ve finally made the most significant progress ever on dips, for me. I’ve never been any good at body weight as far as doing many reps and all that jive. Now I can do 3 sets of 10 with an added weight of 5kg (11lbs) on top of my 91kg (200lbs) bodyweight. That’s huge progress for me and the set felt easy. Completed all 3 of them. Progressive overload is really gonna kick in and I’m sure my performance will only improve from here on out. At this to your favorites 🔖so you can do this workout as well. • The workout: 1️⃣ BENCH PRESS: 4 sets 2️⃣ INCLINE BENCH PRESS: 3 sets 3️⃣ INCLINE DUMBBELL FLYE: 3 sets 4️⃣ CABLE FLYE (DOWNWARD ANGLE): 3 sets • Drop sets are a very effect intensity technique. It allows you to not only train to failure but train PAST failure. When you finish a set and reach muscular failure, believe it or not, you still have some strength left. • On a drop set, after reaching muscle failure, decrease the total weight enough for you to do the same amount of reps. So drop the weight a bit and immediately do another set without resting. • I did 1 drop set. Some programs require you to do 2, 3, 4, or as many as it takes for you to reach the lowest possible weight you can do (but that's pretty darn extreme!) • Remember to utilize these from time to time to make your workout more intense. I promise your muscles will be screaming! But in a good way. Chest days are known to be for Monday’s.. so that’s why I workout chest on Tuesday! Haha but forreal though, don’t forget to get some resistance training done. #bossup 📈 . . Technically, we should all do some form of resistance training, in this video’s case it comes in the form of dumbbells. With that said an easy way to look at it is push and pull with the upper and lower body (that covers full body.) #resistancetraining 💥 . . One thing that’s commonly overlooked is stretching that same muscle after the workout. So, in this case, I’d stretch my chest after a complete chest workout for around 10-15 mins. #fascia 📈 . .
