Our countdown continues, only 5 days to go until our Prep School Creative Week. We can’t share the theme of the week but we thought we’d share the educational purpose. All of the activities over the week focus on our Big Ideas. Big Ideas encourage engaging activities that captivate pupils’ imaginations. The first two key principles of Big Ideas are: • Big Ideas provide opportunities for innovation, enthusiasm, and individuality • Big Ideas enable pupils to connect knowledge from different subjects together by seeing interconnections and relationships #lovetolearn

We’re excited to announce that it’s just 7 days to go until we have our next Creative Curriculum Week. The theme is a surprise and it will be revealed next Monday morning to our students! The Creative Curriculum Weeks take a huge amount of planning from the Prep School team. Previously, the themes have been Harry Potter and Flight Week. We’ve seen from the previous Creative Weeks how beneficial the activities are for students. What’s really encouraging is that we see students referring back to the concepts learnt from the activities, in their learning in class. This is of course the plan, but it’s great to know that it’s working! Enjoy our countdown video for the event: 7 days to go! #lovetolearn
Thank you for the update @sjd_2001 and well played lads! #effort#energy#enthusiasm 👏👏👏 #Repost@sjd_2001 ・・・ Great effort today boys, @reptonsport played very well but we kept them to 2-1 and had some great chances to level the game but it was not to be. Rest up boys, we have more games coming up. #adalta@seafordcollege@seafordsport@aratac_hockey@firstname.lastname@example.org
I wonder how Shaun Edwards is feeling today? We had the pleasure of welcoming him to Seaford at our Sports Dinner last year. Here’s to an exciting afternoon of Guiness Six Nations Rugby! We have supporters’ of all teams at Seaford, including Sian Green who’ll be cheering on Wales! #guinesssixnations#sixnations#sixnationsrugby2019#sixnationsrugby
Seaford College students took part in the Waterside B at the weekend as part of their training to compete in the Devizes to Westminster Kayaking Marathon. In what were truly testing conditions, the paddlers set off downstream from Newbury only to be battered just after the starting corner by shifting wind gusts, with many of the crews (not just Seaford) taking early baths. They all found a way of dealing with the conditions and pushed hard to finish in some excellent times. An outstanding achievement by all the boats! The paddlers were also supported this week by the Headmaster, John Green, who commented: “Well done to all the paddlers today. The conditions were incredibly challenging with the wind - I was so impressed!” As always, a huge thank you to the parents & support teams without whom none of this would be possible.
Tilly Lock & Izzy Black are working hard on their choreography for their fight scene in our production of Les Misérables. Thank you to Simon Staples at KD Combat for supporting their rehearsal today. Tickets are available for our Wednesday 20th & Thursday 21st performances at 7.30pm. Other performances have SOLD OUT. Our Director of Performing Arts, Sara Reynolds wants to thank all of the cast and crew: “Everyone has been very dedicated and committed with rehearsals. The teamwork has been phenomenal with everyone encouraging and supporting each other. We now have our final weekend of rehearsals, enjoy it and have fun!” For tickets email: email@example.com
