On this morning, I kept thinking to myself “this can’t be real this can’t be real” Guess it should be said that you cannot climb all temples here and some are barred because they are dangerous because of an earthquake or for preservation reasons. When you arrive at Bagan in the mornings, people will approach you and take you to temples you can climb.
Yesss! Back to the jungles of Bali 🌴 . Black Friday is upon us and I am doing one massive sale on all my presets and editing tutorials ✌🏼If you’ve been thinking about picking them up now is the time to do so! My presets are a bit different in the sense that they are perpetually updated. You buy ONCE and you will have access to all future releases of presets I make! That said, if you bought my presets previously, check you your accounts cause you have two new ones in there! Happy editing :)
So these last two weeks I was able to experience something really special on the Semester At Sea ship. I got to see what it’s like to be a young adult having these once-in-a-lifetime experiences and the importance of the timing of them. This comes at a time when you are really starting to form your opinion of the world and to be able to see the diversity of how people live around the world is an invaluable lesson. There is also the fact that this is a crazy good bonding experience and the students will be stocked with stories to tell their friends back home. I got to hear some ridiculous stories from Ghana, South Africa and Myanmar 😂 Things that in my long travel career caught me by surprise. All this while getting college credit 🎓 . I hope you enjoyed the stories and posts from @semesteratsea and learned a little about this program. Thanks for having me on the ship guys and enjoy China, Japan and Hawaii ✌🏼 #semesteratsea#sasfa18 Slide 1: In the on ship swimming pool. Slide 2: Sundown somewhere around the straights of Singapore. Slide 3: Sunbathing & studying Slide 4: Synchronized swimming at the Sea Olympics. (See Story for more) Slide 5: During a Q&A on my first night aboard. Slide 6: The most luscious classroom I’ve ever seen. Slide 7: just a pretty room. Slide 8: Ciao SAS ✌🏼 have a great rest of your trip.
Goooood Evening Vietnam! @semesteratsea has now provided two firsts for me, Myanmar and Vietnam! Having fun romping around the Ho Chi Mihn City with the SAS students checking out the views from various rooftops, hitting up markets, bouncing around coffee shops and learning how to cook some tasty Vietnamese food 🤤 All good things must end tho and this is where I part ways with @semesteratsea. I head back to Bali and the ship continues on to China then Japan. I wonder if I can hide as a stowaway on the ship somehow... 🤔 #semesteratsea
Myanmar is currently massively exceeding expectations! So tomorrow I am boarding the ship with Semester At Sea to see what the other half of their experience is like. So far I have joined up with them in Myanmar to see what some ‘weekend’ activities are like for the students aboard. I say ‘weekend’ in quotes because that’s the closest thing to link it to a normal college experience. The students with @semesteratsea are in class and studying between ports (like when I sail with them from Myanmar to Vietnam) and then when they port the students have several days to explore the country. I’ve met a couple students who chose to take their time off here at Ngapoli beach to relax, snorkel and visit an elephant sanctuary... sure beats going to your local frat party on your weekend off. #semesteratsea
Our first sunrise in Bagan Myanmar! Holy smokes 😱 Bucket list item for sure. . So let me tell you a bit about why I am in Myanmar this week and my upcoming travels. For the next two weeks I will be with @semesteratsea , a college campus that sails around the world while operating a full college campus on a boat! It’s such a cool program that I wish I had known about when I was going to school. As someone who has done a fair bit of traveling, I can vouch for the importance of seeing new places & coming into contact with different cultures. The growth of self-reliance when navigating a new country is also an invaluable lesson. . This week, Semester At Sea is in Myanmar and I’ll be joining for a bit of their journey and sharing some experiences to be had on this amazing experience 🎓🛳
