I figured that it has been a while since I shared a breakfast classic of mine. There are always 3 ingredients that I can always count on being in my fridge at all times. You guessed it. Eggs, bread, and arugula (ahh my love for peppery arugula runs deep). But don't forget to spread some butter on the bread! That's the best part, duh!⠀ ⠀ So I officially have a new job, woohoo! As you may know, I'm a Graphic Designer. And in my spare time outside of work I do freelancing as a designer, I also run.. a lot! I also own a horse named Kwinsey that I ride and see a few times every week :) So I'm BUSY!⠀ ⠀ With that being said, the past few weeks while I have not been working, I have dedicated to figuring out how I'm going to find time to squeeze in my marathon training once it gets to be 2-3 hour long runs between my regular 40 hours, 1 hour commute each way, horseback riding, freelancing, and being able to cook a decent dinner each night. I know that lots of people WAY busier than me (uhm.. actually just anyone with a kid) has found ways to squeeze marathon training into their schedule... how did you do it?!! Well here is my famous pregnancy pic and I think this is the only one I ever took. This pic I still had another 2 months to go and I only got bigger..lol but I wanted to show you that YES I WAS 210 and it was a struggle for me to get the weight off. I tried every diet, diet pill, shakes, to eating pineapple only for days and nothing worked. I knew my body was lacking something I just didnt know what until I found THRIVE. Its NOT a DIET or a PHASE it's what MY body was lacking the right nutritional supplements. I noticed with eating right and exercising I was losing the weight. I was able to go back to my passion of running. And just having the sustained energy was a bonus. The reason for this post is just letting you know that if you really want it you will do it. Its finding what will work for you and going out there and crushing them goals. Dig deep because you have it in you. Thank you to you all for all of your kind messages, love and support in my fitness journey. I have been hearing a lot lately how time is becoming a huge factor in why people aren’t exercising. I don’t have time to exercise but I have time to get a coffee with a friend or stay up late and binge watch my favorite Netflix show. There are 168 hours in a week now subtract your hours worked from that week and what should be 7/8 hours of sleep per night and what do you have left over? Probably a whole lot of time. Start making things that matter a priority. You mean to tell me you can’t find 3 days a week for an hour to yourself to take care of your body? I didn’t think so. Start making time on your side and figure out a solution instead of writing it off as an excuse

I have never done a side by side selfie comparison till now. Seeing this blows my mind🤯 These pictures are almost a year apart and it shocks me to see how far I’ve came in just about a year. - On the left ⬅️, I was almost 200lbs. I was unhappy all the time, hated taking pictures, almost was always a “negative Nancy”, found a reason to hate on other females just because I was jealous and insecure of myself, and just overall mentally unstable. - ➡️ than we have today. I am completely different person inside and out. Am I where I want to be? Not at all. But I’m ok with that. I’m ok with embracing and enjoying the process, I’m comfortable in my own skin even on the days I may not look the leanest, I empower and support everyone, and the best part about it all...My passion and job is now all about fitness/ health and HELPING OTHERS on their own journey. - Was this picture embarrassing to post? Awhile back i would have thought so. I wouldn’t have even second guessed about posting something like this because I would be ashamed. Back than; I would never even dare to admit that I was vulnerable or at my worst🙅🏼‍♀️ - Now, it doesn’t matter because I am proud of how far I’ve came and have appreciated all the obstacles and hard times it’s taken me to get to where I am today. - Did this happen overnight or just after a couple of good workouts and eating healthy? I wish I could say so. In fact, this took about a year. A year full of self doubt, struggles, tears, and pain😓 - In that year, Sometimes I felt like I wasn’t progressing because it’s hard to see changes in yourself sometimes. But now I’ve learned. - Don’t let anything discourage you from your journey. Be proud of your progress even if it’s not what you expected to be or your not where you want to be yet. - Don’t always be so hard on yourself. The journey will be rough, but it will be worth it. Learn to love and trust the process. Be proud of yourself, because no matter how small that progress is.. You are one step closer to your goal✨ - Success doesn’t come from what you do occasionally, it comes from what you do CONSISTENTLY. Keep your head up and keep pushing💪🏽

Lately I’ve been finding myself short on time when it comes to training myself. I’m at the gym every single day..but when it comes to training.. Some thing always comes up where my time is limited. - I’ve been trying to do the most I can with the time I have. With that being said, on the days that I damn short on time, I like having my workouts be pure compound movements. - Compound exercises are exercises that work multiple muscle groups at the same time. - Compound exercises give toy efficient use of your time as you will work more muscles and build more strength this way. - Other benefits can also include: 🏋🏼‍♀️ Burn more calories 🏋🏼‍♀️ Elevate your heart rate 🏋🏼‍♀️ Improving strength/flexibility 🏋🏼‍♀️ Gain more muscle mass 🏋🏼‍♀️ Improve intramuscular coordination - Here is a workout you can do that has most of all your basic compound exercises!
