Today's lunch and yesterday's dinner: Homemade Quarter pounder. Most of the food I make at home is vegetarian but that often leads to burger cravings. This solved it. I tried to find my seasoning recipe but the link was broken so I just ground some pepper, tossed in some salt, and added some onion power before tossing them on the indoor grill. Leg day at the gym, egg day at home. I've been meaning to make recipe 11 for quite a while now since I've never made carbonara and it's a great thing to have in your arsenal when you haven't shopped in a while. I adapted Chowhound's Desperation Carbonara recipe by swapping in Mozzarella since I was out of Parmesan and by adding the leftover charcuterie from Golden Globes night - Prosciutto, Coppa di Parma and Genoa Salami. I've never made a poached egg in my life so I gave it a try. Turned out perfect (I only popped the yolk when it slid off the pile the first time). This is recipe number nine: poached egg with arugula, goat cheese, honey, and prosciutto on a whole wheat English muffin.
