RainbowYOUTH (@rainbowyouth) — We’re a charity that provides support and advocacy for Aotearoa’s intersex, queer & gender diverse youth, their friends, whānau and communities 🇳🇿
We're looking for a Volunteer Coordinator! This is an exciting opportunity to join the RainbowYOUTH whānau as a full time staff member. We want someone who loves working with people, is good at building relationships, and wants to learn and grow with us! We will provide full training for this role, and our Support Manager will work closely with you as you are learning the ropes. There could also be an opportunity to complete your NZQA Level 3 or Level 4 Youth Work certificate through this role, if that’s of interest to you. If you’d like to know more, please get in touch!
We are SO excited to be a part of this! There is a huge lack of research around rainbow mental health, and information like this is vital for us to understand the gaps in mental health support. Please complete this survey if you have a minute! The link is in our bio 🌈
Today is the last day to give us your feedback through our annual survey! Plz take a minute to fill this in whānau; we want to make sure we're doing the best we can to make Aotearoa a better place for our queer, gender diverse and intersex rangatahi. Link is in our bio! https://form.jotform.com/82241054083953
Today is National Coming Out Day. Coming out can be really difficult for a lot of people, and isn’t always safe, affirming, or positive for everyone. If you need some support, please reach out! We have a bunch of different services for queer and gender diverse young people, you can e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org 💝✨🌈
International data shows that our queer, gender-diverse and intersex rangatahi are disproportionately represented in statistics around unstable housing. Tomorrow is World Homeless Day, and we will be joining the Youth Homelessness Collective at Aotea Square from 9:30am onwards - come say hi and share your support! 👏😃😃
