Tectonic plates really did that huh😩 ⠀⠀ I’ve been told by many I should monetize this instagram and turn this passion of photography and videography into a career. ⠀⠀ That got me thinking into of why I do what I do. A couple of years ago I had the realization that your whole life, you’re stuck in one body at one place at a time, and this made me obsess over all the things I would never be able to experience in life whether it be traveling or meeting new people. This unfortunate reality, that me as a kid from Kansas unlikely to go see the Dolomites mountains in Italy, or Switzerland, or the Cherry Blossom trees in Japan during fall, was really frustrating. ⠀⠀ It was during this time I became active on instagram and started “getting lost” in these photographs I would see. Although not completely fulfilled, seeing these incredible pictures of these places sparked this feeling of awe and wonder inside me to spend hours scrolling through instagram while getting lost in these pictures, and built up my appreciation of how beautiful this earth and how much of a blessing it is to be able to see, explore, and experience the things we’re able to regardless of how small they may seem. ⠀⠀ So I guess the reason this is my ‘passion’ is to share that same emotion and have others share that same appreciation I do: to look at a picture I took and get that feeling of awe or maybe motivating someone to go out and experience something that they generally wouldn’t, would give me all the fulfillment I could ask for.
Reminiscing these monstrous buildings in Hong Kong 🇭🇰 I had seen this set of buildings everywhere on instagram and it was one of my missions to find them when I went to hong kong. Finding this spot was definitely an adventure considering I had no idea where it was and nobody spoke english. I bought myself a subway ticket to this district (quarry bay) and roamed around checking every alley way and aligning the buildings with pics i had from instagram, and after a couple hours I finally stumbled onto this incredible location. Absolutely worth
Dreaming about Mountains🏔✨💫 •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• About a week ago I spontaneously decided to drive 12 hours into the Colorado mountains🏔 with practically 4 strangers. We had no plan or idea of where we were going or what to do. But it turned into one of the most memorable trips of my life. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• It’s been a while since i’ve posted on instagram, I felt like I got too caught in the social media aspect of creating content and the opinions of others started to deter me from doing and creating what I love in effort to create content that other people would “like”. So i took a hiatus from posting to go out and find the joy in the actual art itself and allowing that the be its own reward rather than needing to feel fulfillment through comments and likes. But anyway. I’m back now ✨💫 Song- Somebody Else 1975
Spending a week in China was definitely one of the most amazing experiences in my life. From the sounds of the city to the kindness of the people, everything left me in awestruck. • • I tried to capture the truly entrancing feeling that these cities (especially hong kong) gave me. • • Inspired by: @jralli23 and @judegnelson
