They did it—these 7 boys finished 10th today at the OHSAA State Championships! How did they get to this point? Simple. Show up each day...for years. Go through an array of highs and lows. Build lots of character. Keep showing up. Tempos around Sunflower St in the 0° days of February. Long Runs. Every Monday. Every Month. LINDEN Repeats. LINDEN POWER HOUR. Miles at Medlar in 90° August days. Keep showing up. Place 15th in the Region in 2017, placed 4th in the Region this year. Keep believing. Process, process, process. There are no secrets or magic tricks. It works. #thankyouseniors#swipetotheend#welcometoamericamatt

At the beginning of summer conditioning, our boys team had their sights set on qualifying for state at the end of the season. We knew we had several tests along the path that served as an indicator if we truly belonged on the starting line at National Trail Raceway on November 3rd. Some days, we thought we had it in the bag and other days, we never thought we’d see a race in the post season. Even today at Regionals, we had some setbacks (and literal falls) and did not know how the results would shake out. Today, these 7 qualified for state for the first time in Miamisburg High School history. Proud is an understatement, especially when you see that the same group of boys finished 15th this time last year. We’ve accomplished a lot with these 6 seniors but we still have something left. #changethenarrative#madehistory#welcometonationaltrailmatt

Our girls team ended their season at Regionals, but not without a PR & season best from our #1 and #2 runner today! Our team had some tearful moments realizing it’s the last time we’ll have these three lace up for the Varsity team, but we can only hope that their hard work, dedication, and positive reaction to team or personal setbacks gets passed down to the underclassmen. This team of girls has made us very proud and we cannot wait to see how they continue to grow as the years go on. #imnotcryingyourecrying#welcometoamericamatt

Winning Districts this weekend for the first time since 1969 felt pretty good. Coach Wysocki received an email from that 1969 teams captain, Mike Libbee this week explaining what cross country looked like all those years ago. He said that our home course at Mound was filled with physical obstacles & that competitors often walked down a steep hill our team knew like the back of their hand (they also never lost a meet on that course). Mike also started our girls cross country program in 1974, something we are grateful for! This picture is from when he broke our school record in the 2-mile race versus West Carrollton. We are honored that Mike celebrated our team’s win all the way in California this past weekend and we hope there’s more to celebrate after Regionals. #tbt#makinghistory#welcometoamericamatt

First meet of the Championship Season = advancement on the girls & boys side to Regionals next week at Troy! Boys won District Champions for the first time since 1969 and some PRs/SBs on the girls team produced the biggest smile on Wysocki’s face since...a long time (see final photo). We are excited about today’s performances but ready to keep pushing one another towards some bigger goals of ours. #welcomeback1and3#surviveandadvance#welcometoamericamatt

Enjoyed a nice fall morning yesterday in London (England is beautiful this time of year). We ran great team races yesterday: Girls Varsity & Open placed 1st & 2nd and Boys Varsity & Open placed 1st & 4th. Times may not have been what we wanted, but our ability to work together really showed. 2 weeks until GWOC. #golfcourseruns#welcometoamericamatt

Very rarely do we have results that show 51 athletes running their season best times at one meet, but it happened at Saturday Night Lights this weekend! We are beyond proud of each of them for running fast for their teammates and themselves. Shoutout to the varsity boys for their 2nd place finish and to Matt for his 5K debut in America!!!! #welcometoamericamatt
