Did you know that Trento has the nickname ‘Città del Natale’ (Christmas Town) during the winter due to its amazing Christmas markets which consume the towns central squares? 🎄 I couldn’t imagine anywhere more breathtakingly beautiful to get into the Christmas spirit 💚 Has anyone else ever been to an Italian Christmas market? @visittrentino
By now you’ve probably noticed that I’m a big fan of European city travel, and there’s nothing quite as magical as a European city break during the festive season... pretty lights, Christmas markets and plenty of mulled wine 🎄😍 Last year I headed to Basel and Colmar to explore the markets, while today I’m on route to Trento in Italy 🇮🇹Can you tell I’m excited? 😆😆😆
Last week I headed to @avenuecookery to experience my first ever Caribbean Christmas! 😍 In true Caribbean ‘family-style’ everyone helped prepare this feast of squash soup, stuffed Christophene, honey mustard ham, festive Jerk Chicken and Christmas cake 🤤 Accompanied by the most delicious spiced sorrel (like a Caribbean mulled wine)! I’ve never experienced Christmas anywhere other than the UK before, but I love getting to experience what Christmas might be like in other cultures @stkittstourism@visitbarbados@antiguaandbarbuda 🏝 Where have you celebrated Christmas before? The best thing about being unwell at this time of year is that you get to lay in bed watching Christmas films. I’ve already made it through most of the cheesy @hallmarkchannel films on @netflix and now I’m on to the classics! Tonight’s pic is my favourite... The Holiday ❤️ Can you recommend any great Christmas films I should watch?
So not only is tomorrow the weekend but it’s also the 1st December! Which means I’ll be stopping with the Autumnal shots and barricading you guys with a gazillion photos of beautiful festive London 😁 Who else is ready for the festive period to get into full swing!? 🎄
The weather has been so dull and depressing in London over the last few days, so here’s a throwback to my Romanian road trip last September instead 🇷🇴 Grey skies always put me in the travel planning mood. That combined with the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales resulted in me spending all of my money planning travel for the coming months... and I couldn’t be more excited! 😄 In a couple of weeks time I’ll be heading out to Trento in Italy 🇮🇹 to explore the Christmas markets, followed by a girls trip to Cologne 🇩🇪 in January and LA 🇺🇸 in February! Plus plenty more exciting things in the pipeline for 2019 ✈️ What are your travel plans for 2019 so far?
There could be worse places to work for a few days... 🥰 As much as I love being back in the hustle and bustle of the city, I do quite miss my little office overlooking the ocean in Pevensey last week! I can’t wait to share more about the Beach Bung with you guys on the blog soon 🏖 @holidaycottages.co.uk
When thinking about Christmas dishes in London, @obicamozzarellabar wouldn’t have initially come to mind, but last week I was invited to try the Italian restaurants new Christmas menu and they certainly managed to change my mind 😍 We tried almost every dish on the menu (I had to roll myself back home) and I will happily say that it was all delicious, especially the antipasti, the salmon ravioli, the turkey stuffed with Parma ham, sausage and mozzarella and the wild boar stew 🤤 But my favourite course had to be dessert - chocolate tiramisu, chocolate fondant and grilled Christmas panettone 🧁🍫 Which of the dishes would you like to try? @adwaiz#invite
I spend so much time visiting castles and various historic landmarks in other countries that sometime I forget how much amazing history there is here on my doorstep in the UK 😂 Can anyone recommend any other castles or cool historic sites worth visiting in the UK?
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas... 🎄🎄 Has anyone else started to get into the Christmas spirit yet? I’ve already been to two wintery pop-ups and next week I’m heading to my first ice-rink of the season ❄️ The earlier the better in my opinion! Check out today’s blog post for 10 of the best Christmas Markets and Pop-Ups of 2018! (Link in bio)
