I’ve been dreaming of the day I would have my first work published in @foodandwine as a food stylist. It came true in the February issue, 10 pages for the story on Alex @Guarnaschelli 😱. For those who have been following me here for the last few years know it has been a journey to develop a second career. There are major ups & downs that people don’t talk about on social media, a perpetuation of faking it until you make it (both good & bad). I feel so lucky to have found that a love for food developed into a passionate career. If you’ve always wanted to change careers, let me tell you, it’s possible!!!! Believe in yourself and keep on working towards your goals, no matter what other people say. Thanks for all the words of encouragement over the years. Thanks to everyone for the feedback about what you’d like to see on stories. I’d love to show more baking demos too. Meanwhile I’ve been working on something exciting for the past few months with @susanspungen, we’re almost done and I’ll be back to my routine soon. Here’s the extra flaky apple tart I made last Thanksgiving. It’s the 3rd way I used this diamond cut out for a decorative crust (all done without fancy tools, something I want to share more of this year.) You can see the other diamond designs on #jkimPies. I found some Thanksgiving footage, so I’m going to pull it together for this pie crust demo, coming to stories this week. Happy Wednesday!

I love that this raspberry cake only uses one piping tip, @wiltoncakes 1M tip to make the flowers. Jasmine vines were added for their texture. Mostly because I didn’t know how to pipe leaves at the time 🤫 shhhh 🌿😉. Meanwhile, it’s been a while since I’ve made a cake...I really miss licking the batter bowl (yes, batter over frosting for me). #jkimCakes
