Getting hands on the receiver at the line of scrimmage is important, because it throws off the timing between QB and WR. In order to ensure you get hands on every time, you must have disciplined eyes. The DB has to be able to process the WR release as quickly as possible and move his feet in position to stay on top of the route. The faster you process his release , the faster you can shuffle in position to control the angle of his route with your body position. Every DB should learn WR release techniques, so your eyes understand every step they are taking to attack your leverage. #defensiveback#widereceiver#cornerback#sportsperformance#football#footballtraining#dbdrills#athleticperformance#sportperformance#athlete#trainer#fitfam#interception

It’s a myth that DBs are WRs that can’t catch. In today’s game DBs must have hands like receivers. In order to be a difference maker as a DB you must create turnovers. Interceptions are game changing plays. Real DBs make tackles. As a defender tackling is apart of your job. Yes your main job is to cover, but you also have responsibilities in the run game. Corners must set the edge on the perimeter and safeties must gap replace and fill holes in the trenches. #defensiveback#cornerback#strongsafety#freesafety#dbdrills#athlete#sportsperformance#sportsperformancetraining#athlete#football#widereceiver#fitfam#tackling#rugbytackle

Tips to improve arm swing mechanics 1. Bend your elbows: While you run, the bend of your elbow fluctuates slightly. To improve efficiency, keep your elbow bend in the 80–100 degree range. Keep your elbows tucked and close to your sides in the same plane of motion, never allowing them to swing across the body. 2. Swing from the shoulders: When you move your arms, swing them from the shoulders and not from the elbow. Try not to lift your shoulders up or down during the swing, which helps remove tension and stay relaxed. Your shoulders should also not move forward and backward. Aim instead to keep the shoulder in a fixed position. 3. Relax your hands: If you clench your hands into a fist, your upper body will be tight and it will be harder to keep your shoulders relaxed. If you relax your hands, the arms and shoulders will follow suit. 4. Concentrate on arm drive: The forward swing of the arm comes most naturally; where most runners can improve their arm movement is behind the body. By concentrating on pushing your elbow back, the forward motion happens on its own. While it takes some getting used to, and may feel initially like you’re working harder, increasing the drive of your arms takes strain off your legs and makes it easier to lift your feet. #sprinter#speed#speedtraining#vertimax#vertimaxtraining#athlete#athletetraining#sportperformance#sportsperformancetraining#trainer#nfl#nfldraft#reciever

The reason sand is such a great surface to train on is a matter of physics: for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. If you jump on a solid surface, energy is transferred into your jump to propel you upward. If you jump on sand, your energy still propels you up, but it also moves the sand, which limits the amount of force propelling your jump. It's almost like adding more weight to an exercise. Sand is also forgiving, reducing the impact on your joints during exercise, helping to preserve joint health and lowering the chance of injury. #sandworkout#plyometrics#plyometricstraining#footwork#sportperformance#trainer#fitness#nodaysoff#dbtraining#training#defensivebacktraining#football#speedladder#workout
