Happy Birthday baby!! Every year you just get better and better and better. What a year it's been, so many adventures all over the world and you did it all with a massive smile on your face. Cheers to 37 and the next chapter waiting in the wings. I love poopy @dwyanewade 🎈❤️🍗
Today’s #WCW is the smooth operator you can’t help but move and groove to… Sade! This dynamic Nigerian born talent got her start as a model (no shock there with her traffic stopping beauty), and started making her mark as a performer in the 80s. The sound she created has influenced and been recognized by countless singers and artists, who often credit her as their inspiration (like Beyonce, Aaliyah, Kelly Rowland & more). Her home must be jam packed with all her awards like 4 Grammys, a Brit Award, an AMA Award and more… and in 2002 she was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire for services to music( a few years later was promoted to Commander of the same Order). Her music has often served as a soundtrack to my life and I cannot wait to continue to watch her shine. Let us life her up in the light of goodness and hold her there. Make sure to wish her a happy 60th birthday today!
Today's #WCW is @kikilayne. At the age of 7 Kiki proclaimed that she wanted to sing and act, and quickly enrolled in Theatre school. She continued her acting education, obtaining a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from the Theatre School at DePaul University and started booking jobs. This eventually lead to her breakout performance in If Beale St Could Talk, which has taken the world by storm. She commands our attention in every frame. She is THAT good. I had the pleasure of meeting her during my book tour in NYC and reminded her to be her own best advocate and to always speak up for yourself on set and in life and dont take no shit. Folks, she is the real deal and is here to stay. She already has two more movies completed for 2019, so keep an eye for them (Native Song & Captive State) Keep shining mama and know you are loved, supported and appreciated! Let us lift her up in the light of goodness and hold her there!
