When we have an external locus of control we believe that outcomes are outside of our control. Determined by “fate” or the economy, other people, circumstances, our past, etc. . With an internal locus of control we believe that the outcomes in our life are within our control. We are responsible for the creation of our future and our circumstances are determined by our hard work and the decisions we make. . Having an external locus of control releases responsibility and has a false sense of comfort. It’s where I lived for most of my life. I had an excuse for everything, all of which had nothing to do with me being the issue. . Shifting to an internal locus of control was uncomfortable and forced me to take a hard look at my actions. But it’s also a shift that helped me take control of what I wanted to create in my life. It’s a lot more comfortable to hold that power than to keep playing the blame game. . Where you are is all your fault. Where you want to go is all up to you. All of it. You can see that as a negative or you can see it as a huge positive and opportunity to create what you wish to see.✨

Did you know that only a few years ago I struggled to get in 5 servings of fruit
Did you know that only a few years ago I struggled to get in 5 servings of fruit and veggies each day? 😳Not a great track record for a vegetarian turned vegan. What was I eating? Lots of carbs: bread, rice, crackers, chips and not all of those whole grain. Sound familiar? 🤔 Fast forward to now. I eat veggies as part of each meal and snack, even breakfast (today @fieldroast apple 🍎 maple 🍁vegan breakfast sausage with reheated roasted cauliflower). When presented with nutrition guidance and recipes and sample menus, it all of a sudden became easier than I thought it could be to eat a more balanced diet. A side effect of that is that I started getting leaner and dropped a few pounds of flab. Working out is half the solution. A lot of your body is made in the kitchen! I feel so good now too! I still indulge in all of those above mentioned carbs, but they are no longer the first thing I reach for! What are your favorite ways to add more veggies into your day? Comment below! HOW TO FIX YOUR SHOULDER PAIN. - 95% of the time you are having shooting pain in your shoulder when working out is because you have hurt your rotator cuffs. Rotator cuff is a tough sheath of tendons and ligaments that support our arm bone in shoulder joint. A healthy rotator cuff will allow the movement of arm freely with out rubbing with the shoulder socket. But in case if you have bad rotators your arm is not gonne be able to move freely in all direction in your shoulder socket. That is why you will have shooting pain in your shoulders whenever you train chest or shoulders. - A good news is that it can be fixed with rehab exercises i have shown you in the video. It will take time before your rotator cuffs get to normal. But they will recover. - A bad news is if you dont do anything about it and keep training with bad shoulders. You will end up tearing your rotator cuffs. - Try to do 3 to 4 sets of every exercise for 15-20 reps before every upperbody workout. - You do these regularly and trust me you will feel alot of difference in your shoulder health. - IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO TRANSFORM YOUR BODY. It’s true you need to have a fairly low body fat percentage for your abdominal muscles to show, but if they’re not developed to begin with they’re not going to pop💥. So in reality, you develop your abs through exercise and reveal them in the kitchen. - My experience is abs tend to recover quicker than larger muscle groups like chest back, legs. Therefore, I like to train them 3-4 times per week, at least 2 exercises per session, and 3 sets per exercise to optimize strength and development. - 🔥Include one crunch style movement (i.e. reaching sit up ) to target upper abs and one leg-based movement (i.e. scissor kicks) to target lower abs. - 🔥Adding a lower back and oblique move once per week will provide well-rounded strength for your entire core. - Anyone doing @liift4 is already following this weekly ab routine 👍🏼 - 🚴🏻‍♂️Bicycle crunches are one of my favorites since it works your upper and lower abs at the same time.
