I'm using one dumbbell for this exercise, however you're more than welcome to use two, just keep a tighter grip if you go that route. .. In the video here I'm focusing on keeping the elbows close to my head and elbows facing forward. With the weight behind the head, extend the weight straight up and squeeze at the top. Guide the weight back down behind your head, maintaining control the entire time. Complete 50 reps. To increase your stability, a great tool to use is the Bosu ball because it challenges the muscles that maintain your balance ⚖️. __ Begin by placing the flat side of the Bosu ball on the ground. Then stand on the ball with two feet 👣 and try to balance. Use as heavy weight as you can without sacrificing good form. With weights in hand, plams facing up, perform a biceps curl to chest level. Rotate the hand so palms are facing away from you and press up extending fully. Bring your arms back down the same way, controlling the weight down. That's one rep. Do a total of 50! 🍄Healthy fresh life giving food = healthy body, mind and spirit. 🥕Just having a gorgeous morning shopping at a newly opened market. Buying fresh fruit, vegetables, nuts, plant milks, soy cheese and fresh bread makes me so happy. I honestly love fresh food. Thankfully I've never been a fan of fast or processed food. My stomach and body doesn't like a lot of it. I will have it on an occassion but not every day. I've always enjoyed the taste of fruit and vegetables on their own without adding any extra flavour. Some people might call my tastes as boring but I love the simpleness of one flavor at a time. 🍓I've listened to and read stories of people with major health issues, chronic pain and mental health issues who decided instead of taking medication and getting traditional treatment for illnesses such as cancer they would try a plant based diet. They chose to eat God made food rather than man made food. Eating fruits, vegetables, nuts, legumes etc and nothing else. 🍅They discovered that if you need to kill and cook an animal (or derivatives of) then its not meant to be eaten. Our bodies would be able to digest enough plants to give them a healthy well life. These people have been able to reduce their symptoms and cure themselves of their illnesses just by changing their lifestyle and diet. They also included exercise, prayer🙏 and meditation in their lives with hugely positive results. 😀I know I want to feed my body, mind and spirit with the right fuel. I hope you value yours enough that you do too! 🍏What's your favorite fresh life giving foods?

That’s giving yourself permission to gain the average 8 - 12 pounds that are gained between Thanksgiving and the end of the year. 😳 Why do that to yourself? It is possible to start now. It is possible to get through the holidays without gaining weight. Flexible Exercise ⚡️💓 Exercise isn't just bicep pumping, sweat enduring, lunge jumping, squat pulsing moments. It's the Sunday morning walk coffee in hand, the downward dog yoga pose, the summer beach swimming, the late night club dancing, the dog walking hikes, the gym class with your bestie that turns into a walking therapy sesh ❣️ Implementing various types of exercise into my physical lifestyle is something I am currently working on. I like to move my body in some form otherwise I feel like shit. But I'm also realising this doesn't need to be in an extreme form. Striping away the guilt that is associated with performing more reflective and slow exercise as opposed to high intensity sweat filled exercise is something I'm striving for. It doesn't need to be complicated. Finding exercise you enjoy and something you feel you would happily continue to do regularly is so much more important that the numbers you burned at the gym. Can't wait to do more forms of exercise outside and less in the gym 🌟 On Saturday I was going to go to a usual HIIT gym class and then I thought to myself I really fucking don't feel like it. Then one side of me thought "no but you should you haven't been to the gym in three days" then I said "and so fucking what, you've been busy" and then the sun was shining ☀️ and I thought screw the societal ideals of having to always be doing HIIT exercises! Saturday evening done right ~ walking up Mt Victoria, Wellington and listening to podcasts ✨🌟

Happy Sunday Friends! We are on the 11th day of #TurkeyWingTermination ! We are taking it to the floor for Plank Dumbbell Drags. .. Grab one dumbbell and get into a high plank position. Place the dumbbell behind the left wrist. Using your left hand drag the weight to behind the right wrist - that's one rep. Repeat on the other side with the other hand. Do 50 total and don't forget to check in and have a fabulous day! 💪🏾🦃💪🏾 .. P.S. I meant to use my opposite hand to grab the weight and drag it over, but my body just did what it did. So I went with it. 😄🙃 . . . . . . . . . .
