Q At The Empress 🍴🍸 (@qattheempress) — For Queen & Country, a nod to Queen Victoria and a modern twist on royalty. Home of West Coast fare and the best martini on the Island #QattheEmpress
For Restaurant Chef @chefkenhookham, creating the festive items for the holiday menu is always a great joy. Working with the gorgeous ingredients of the cooler seasons and ensuring you enjoy your time at the Empress is of the utmost pleasure. Which is why he has prepared several special dishes for December. From a silky roasted cauliflower soup to a golden (literally) decadent dessert, there is no doubt you will love what is on offer. Come on in during the month of December to enjoy these time-limited dishes and take part in Christmas at the Empress. 📸: @rwellmanphoto
It was great for @ChefMorganWilson and @ChefKenHookham to get out on the water with local Honey Mussel farmer, Dale Williamson, to see just how much work goes into cultivating and growing these culinary treasures. From start to finish, the day was awe inspiring. From morning coffee with marine biologists and conservationists, to afternoon mussel harvesting with whales breaching in the distance, Chef and Ken learned so much and came away inspired. Ken is excited with what he and the team have created for the November features in @QattheEmpress.
Fall is a forager's delight in the Pacific Northwest! After the first rains of fall the coastal rainforest comes alive with many varieties of wild mushrooms. Bill Jones, owner of Deerholme Farm, is a mushroom forager in the Cowichan Valley, who is committed to supporting our local food community. Join us @qattheempress during October to experience @chefkenhookham's mushroom creations 🍄 📸: @rwellmanphoto
