these two 😍 such an honor to have @kayymariephotos ask me to capture a moment in her life with husband Jordan while they roadtripped the west. also. PSA. y’all— the style guide has a purpose and its purpose it to help you feel good, look good, and have images that are so good ( like these two— they nailed it!! my right brain is in heaven) ✨✨✨
Okay, just one more because the glow that happened from the sunlight coming into the fog after a massive thunderstorm on the coast was like nothing i’ve ever seen, & i grew up wandering that coastline ✨✨ Also, i just announced dates available for Maine weddings & elopements next june ( no flight fees!!) & will do one other trip in the summer to Maine so whoever takes a date first will decide the other time frame for Maine next summer —- so tell ya friends and venues, i’m already putting couples down for 2021 and expect these dates to fill quick for 2020 🌊

Part 4/4: And finally, to Luke and Nico, you truly have souls that are made of pure gold, and I cannot imagine two people who are more deserving of the absolute magic that happened in the skies above you. You are truly two of the most extraordinary people I’ve ever met, who reminded me just how magic not only what I get to do is, but just how magic love is. As I drove home I glowed truly glowed. Your family, your friends, your community—they became mine on Saturday, and there really truly could not be a group of people that I feel more blessed to have in my life. From being a little kid when the Wheeler’s first came into my life, to having their boys watch me grow up while I learned from them and aspired to be all that they are, to the moment that you two came into my world through recommendation from them, my life has been better, and I honestly cannot thank you enough. I walked away that night realizing just how proud I am to have built a life celebrating love, truly the greatest part of being human, so, thank YOU. ❤️🌙
Part 3/4: To know that we have united the worlds we live in with love. By being one of the only love photographers that consistently makes an effort to donate a big percent of my time and effort along with my clients back to the environment, to (in this case) the saving of refugees (@nicostevens, you are a hero), of what we celebrate and build our friendship around, love. How lucky are we to be a species that have the ability to experience love? Why do we feel the need as a society to assume that you can not be both of these types of people? That the institution of marriage somehow diminishes the value of love? It is that concept that we should laugh at. Because institution or not, how priceless is this experience? Two, the exact reason that I don’t classify myself as only an elopement or only a wedding photographer. There is so much beauty in each unique celebration. Of course I am captivated by wild places, of intimate moments between two people, of celebrations that are unique and untraditional. But, there is equally so much beauty in the traditional, so much beauty in massive celebrations with smiles that run for 10 hours straight. With hugs that are endless, tears, joy that fills an entire property. In celebrating love with all those who have loved you have supported you and have made your life a beautiful thing that it is. To watch community come together whether it be small or big. I love celebrating love, and I’m proud to celebrate all types of love, in all types of celebrations.
Part 2/4: One, how incredibly blessed I am to have created a life where the people I meet become my best friends, where I feel as though I married into the family is the same day that they are married. Where I share hugs and tears with them as they marry one another having never met them before that day. How incredibly lucky I am to tell the stories of people who are so talented, magnificent and whose souls are made of pure gold. How lucky I am to live a life that is built on the celebration of love. I always hesitate to say I’m a wedding photographer because of the stereotypes and stigmas that come with this. It’s near impossible at times to be someone who lives in the off-grid, simple life, outdoor community, etc and is openly proud to have a life built around love. Remarks from those who pride themselves on this life that come with a condesending “oh, wow that’s cool” upon asking what i do. And yet. There is nothing I am more proud of.
Part 1/4: On Friday, I flew back to Maine, to the little island that I grew up on. On Saturday I drove to a community near where I grew up to celebrate the wedding of two people I’ve never met but whose family I had spent most of my childhood growing up with. It was a day that I will truly remember for the rest my life. I was reminded of a few things on this day, by these unbelievable people I was lucky enough to tells story.
off, off & away! excited to be next to the sea this weekend with beloved friends, lupine fields and rocky beaches for parties into the night celebrating love. 4th wedding in 10 days & feeling real happy about who i get to spend it with & salty air in my nose during it 🌸 let’s get down for a big old shindig on the coast!! see you soon Luke & @nicostevens 💥😍
Happy Independence to ALL who call this amazing country home 💥 it’s such a joy to tell more than one part of a couples story, and this second piece of @piquxtine & @mitchryden elopement day was nothing short of just that! i’ll be taking from noon onward off today to enjoy the 4th with ma friends & family and then hopping on a flight tomorrow for Saturday’s wedding in Maine 🌙
