Smile about the little things in life, because one day, you’ll realize they were the big things. I feel like this crazy life is going by so quickly, yet it’s moments like this that make time slow down. Be sure to stop and smell the flowers, folks. On another note, doesn’t this just look like something from a Dr. Seuss book? Totally worth the long run and 3AM wake up. 🇨🇦

I feel like my audience has changed so dramatically in the last year, and most of you only know me from my pics, so I thought I’d introduce myself on a more personal level and invite you to do the same! I’m all about using social media to be more social. • My full name’s David Miles Rule, but if I lived in Canada, I’d be David Kilometers Rule• I was born at a very young age, but now I’m 22. I’m hoping to be 23 by next year. • I’m from Pinedale, Wyoming, which is a small mountain town just south of Jackson Hole. It’s insanely gorgeous here and an absolute paradise for photography. • I’m 6’3” and the first thing people usually say when meeting me is “wow, you’re way taller than your face looks in your profile pic”. Umm....thanks? • I finished a degree in Physiology & Neuroscience from the University of Wyoming, but I left my medical career behind to travel the world and pursue photo/video because life is short. It’s been the best decision of my life and I have no regrets. • I’m an avid distance runner and swimmer. I’ve run multiple marathons, competed in triathlon during college, and I hold the record for a 9 mile swim across a lake in Wyoming. My next goal is to swim the English Channel and run a 100 mile ultra marathon. • I can ride a 5’ tall unicycle, juggle fire, and do both at the same time. It’s a completely pointless skill, but I love clowning around regardless. • I’ve been to 15 foreign countries, and my favorite so far has been Croatia, mostly because of my unhealthy obsession with swimming and cliff jumping. • I have absolutely no sense of direction and get lost very easily. Ask anyone I’ve traveled with. I’m pretty sure I get lost at the grocery store half the time. • Now I want to hear something about you! Leave a little bio or weird fact about yourself and I’ll reply to every single one. 😁

Montana Rocks! Lake McDonald is just one giant bowl of fruity pebbles, part of a complete Glacier breakfast. If only I was a rock-eating cave troll I would’ve chomped down on these delicious looking stones. One of the most epic lake shores I’ve ever seen. The vibrant color of this spot is similar to the authentic, emissive color of the new OLED TV by @lgusa. Its vibrant, deep color makes for the top image quality on the market. @oled_space#itsoledoroled#authenticemmissivecolor#lgpartner

Waking up for sunrise isn’t hard when you live in the most surreal place on the planet! Having grown up here, I feel like I’ve taken this place for granted most my life. I always thought that it’s just usual to look at scenes like this on a daily basis and run into 4 moose on the way to school. It isn’t until I started traveling the world that I realized my own backyard is so epic. In a world full of wonder, this is truly a hidden gem. No matter where I end up in life, this magical land I come from will always hold a special place in my heart. 🌲

Of all the cenotés I explored in the Yucatán, this was definitely my favorite. It wasn’t the most photogenic, but it had a massive rope swing hanging from the roof and was filled with friendly turtles. It really let me bring out my inner Tarzan in this underground jungle. 🐢

After just 2 days here, I can confidently say that Vancouver is my favorite big city in the world. It’s incredibly clean, super chill, and the surrounding area feels just like the Ewok planet from Star Wars. The locals here totally fit the “overly-friendly Canadian” stereotype, and I met nothing but incredibly kind, awesome people in BC. One of my favorite things to do here was to explore all the suspension bridges hidden in the forest. This one overlooking Cascade Falls was probably my favorite. I definitely need to make it back up to this magical land at some point! 🇨🇦

I’ve been roadtripping for nearly a month now and I’m loving every second of it, but seeing everyone’s adventures back home is sure making me miss this place! You just can’t beat summer in Wy(home)ing. I’ll be back around the beginning of August and can’t wait to climb the Grand, swim across Fremont, and run a ridiculous number of miles through the Winds. Well, I guess it’s time for me to go explore some more of Canada! ⛰

The badlands of South Dakota have some bad lands and good views. A few weeks ago I got to explore this super underrated state with @bryce_thorman and I absolutely loved it. While driving through the Badlands, we just happened to spot this scene out in the middle of nowhere and booked it over to find the skittles. Taste the rainbow. 🌈

Can you believe this is someone’s home? On my way through Portland, I got to see what might be the coolest house in Oregon. This old Boeing 727 is in the middle of the forest and is a completely built-out home that Bruce Campbell has lived in for the last 17 years. After an epic drone flight, Bruce invited me to come explore the interior and we chatted for a solid 2 hours. He’s a super chill guy with very similar interests and views as myself. I love people like him who keep me inspired to be a little different. Honestly, I’d definitely live in a plane if ever given the opportunity to buy an old aircraft shell. Who else would join? This place makes me feel a certain way that nowhere else does. I’m not sure if it’s the epic rock formations, the waves crashing through fog, or the fires lining the shoreline, but I always feel like a new person when I’m here. It’s super refreshing and just a happy place all around. Yesterday, I got a ton of laptop work done right on the beach by using my @jackeryusa for a power source. Because it’s so portable and long-lasting, I can stay powered up at just about any awesome destination. If you want to do the same, use the code “Jackery240” to get $50 off the Explorer 240 on Amazon. More details on the @jackeryusa page. #jackerypartner

Bend has quickly become one of my absolute favorite towns in the US. It sorta feels like a bigger version of Jackson that’s slightly warmer. Everyone here is so happy that it’s contagious, and I met some awesome new friends while out on adventures. As a bonus, the forest around Bend is top notch for chasing waterfalls. I definitely wouldn’t mind living here at all. 🌲

My insta will probably be nothing but green goodness for the next month now that I’m in the PNW, but before that commences, here’s one of my favorite shots from the desert. I think the hardest thing for me while traveling is trying to balance adventures with boring computer work. The part of my career I never put on IG stories is the part where I spend hours each day in public libraries or coffee shops editing videos, typing up invoices, emailing companies, and handling all the logistics involved with running my own business. This is a crucial part of being able to travel full time, but I usually have the attention span of a chicken nugget and want to just explore. Regardless, I guess it certainly beats sitting in an office all day by a long shot and I couldn’t think of a better way to spend this awesome life. Anyone have any good productivity tips?🔥

Great Britain? Haven’t heard that name since 1776. I’ve been to lots of cool countries in the last year, but nothing compares to the land of star spangled sunrises. Despite our political disagreements, inability to read temperatures in Celsius, and obesity epidemics, I think everyone can agree that the USA is a pretty awesome place. Now excuse me while I spend the rest of my day rafting down a river and listening to freedom ring. Happy Independence Day! 🇺🇸

I don’t think I’ve ever posted a shot of this road without someone in the middle, so here’s one. Do you like my pics with or without people better? Personally, I love including myself or a friend in images just to emphasize the scale of a place and give it a more adventurous feel. Sometimes, scenes definitely look better untouched though. To get the high perspective in this shot, I was actually standing on top of @itsbigben’s van, which was super fun to cruise around in. ⛰
