Unknown to us before our trip, Macau has a number of “faces”. . There’s the hyper-glimmering casinos that everyone’s familiar with (and Macau’s biggest draw), the lovely mementos of Macau’s Portuguese colonial past, then there’s the unpretentious, grimy residential quarters (which we absolutely love); and these mint colored Taipa Heritage houses. . It was a long walk from Venetian, but seeing this heritage complex and learning about its history made it all worth it. . 📍 Taipa Heritage Houses, Macau

Singapore has a number of interesting neighborhoods and areas, each with its own distinct personality. The only problem we had was deciding which area to see first. . There’s just a lot to experience in SG. But despite its small size, we only managed to scratch its surface. As the saying goes, great things come in small packages, and Singapore is proof of that. . 📍 Helix Bridge, Marina Bay, Singapore

What’s for lunch? Dalagang bukid 🤣 Experienced the famed Tibiao Kawa Hot Bath in Antique. And well, it was lit! Literally. . We took a trike ride from the province’s main town of Culasi to (I think) the border of Tibiao then transferred to a habal-habal that brought us to this location. . While they were preparing the Kawa in all its fiery glory, chopping onions and stuff, throwing some leaves and flowers in there, and adjusting the temperature - kinda like how the witch prepared the pot for Hansel and Gretel lol - we decided to explore the area and we were pleasantly surprised. Rivers, mini-waterfalls (I think), rice paddies, and rice terraces (yup), it was the perfect countryside experience. . Safe to say, Tibiao managed to (even for a little while) “cook our stress away” lol . 📍 Tibiao, Antique, Philippines

Thean Hou in Kuala Lumpur was breathtaking, but one of the biggest lessons we learned while visiting this temple was you gotta have internet connectivity at all times for Uber especially when you’re strapped for time. . KL taxi drivers aren’t exactly some of the friendliest and roaming wasn’t working at that time; ending, we had to walk 30 minutes to get to KL Sentral for our next destination. . Got pocket WiFi from @klooktravel_ph the next day and wondered why we didn’t think of it in the first place. . 📍 Thean Hou Temple, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

KL was such a pleasant surprise. There’s just so much to see and experience in Kuala Lumpur. Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough time to really dig deeper as we got lost half of the time lol. . It was much harder to navigate based on our experience. But hey, there’s always next time, right? . 📍 Jalan Raja, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

If Boracay and Batanes had a baby, this would be it! . After a bus ride from Caticlan and a bumpy outrigger boat ride from Culasi, we reached Mararison Island in Antique where we were greeted by its crystal clear water, rolling hills, fine white sand, a stunning sand bar, and friendly locals. . We trekked to its highest point, lounged on the #beach, sampled some local food, gawked at the beauty of this island, and listened to our guide about how the local community and the government pitch in for the preservation and protection of the island. Great time! . It was just a day-trip from Boracay but we wished we stayed longer. Oh well, next time. We’ll be back for sure! . 📍 Mararison Island, Antique, Philippines

Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin, one of the busiest in Hong Kong, is home to three religions - Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism. . Some came to pray, while others wanted their future told. We, on the other hand, just marveled at the spectacle of this place. . 📍 Wong Tai Sin, Hong Kong

Got lost finding this popular spot right here amidst a see of brightly colored apartment complexes. . Choi Hung Estate is one of the oldest and most popular public housing estates in Hong Kong. This spot is the Choi Hung Estate basketball court located on the roofdeck of a parking lot in the middle of an apartment complex. . It wasn’t the easiest to find but once we got there, but it was one of the rewarding. I mean, take a look at this stabilo situation right here! . 📍 Choi Hung Estate, Wong Tai Sin District, Hong Kong

No, we’re not in Rajasthan — we wish! Lol. We stumbled upon this gem of a building while we were food hunting in Telok Ayer. . Amidst vibrantly colored restored shophouses, the Nagore Dargah - a shrine constructed by Singapore’s earliest Indian Muslim pioneers - stands out in all its pale-hued glory as a reminder of its builders rich cultural heritage. Absolutely stunning! . 📍 Nagore Dargah, Telok Ayer and Boon Tat #visitsingapore
