Similar to most people, mine is complacency 🀒 - It is easy for us to neglect what we think we are good at that it doesn't bother us to practice, improve or innovate what has already been going well πŸ€” - Needless to say, I believe that what we focus on expands and what we take for granted disappears. 😱 - This applies to almost all aspects in life - money, business, friendships, relationships, health, yoga poses. πŸ€Έβ€β™€οΈ - ( First picture shows my recent practice of a favorite arm balancing pose Bakasana, and the second picture shows my practice of the pose 3 years ago. No improvement at all.πŸ‘ŽπŸ» - All along, I was thinking I'm already good at it so I don't need to practice it anymore. Yes, complacency breeds failure ) - If there is anything I can share to you who is reading this, let this be a reminder that gratitude is the antidote of complacency. πŸ™πŸ» - Let's be grateful for our family, job, health, business, relationships, so we will never take them for granted despite the daily demands of life. πŸ€— - Nourish them with the love and attention they need so they will never wither or it might be too late. ❀ - Let's flow with our soul through daily yoga practice. Yogis are superhumans. They can bend in the most unimaginable ways, invert like crazy and they never get angry. Wrong! πŸ™ˆ - These are the common misconceptions on people who practice yoga which make "normal people" get intimidated to try the practice πŸ€” - What I know for sure is that it took years of practice and patience for bendable yogis to do what they can do now. It didn't magically happen overnight. πŸ‘πŸ» - It took a lot of small decisions everyday to step into the mat despite the nagging voice in the head that says " don't practice today." 😴 - I was never flexible and had a spine condition that made me pass out when the pain starts πŸ˜–πŸ˜– - (My "struggle-is-real" face in the other photo is a proof that I wasn't able to do a proper backbend before even if I was being assisted) . - From attempting 5 minutes of yoga practice through videos online to hours of daily practice, I was able to heal myself. Those extra seconds of holding a pose even if the mind was saying "stop" became the collective of what strength I have now.πŸ’ͺ🏼πŸ’ͺ🏼πŸ’ͺ🏼 - And yes, it's a lot like life. Every moment we learn to triumph over the chattering of the mind is the moment we add an ounce of progress in our lives. ❀ - Practice yoga and flow with your soul.
