Planned Parenthood (@plannedparenthood) — Hi! We’re America’s most trusted provider of reproductive health care, and we think we look pretty good for over 100 years old.
Accidents happen. That’s why there’s emergency contraception — a safe and effective way to prevent pregnancy up to 5 days after unprotected sex. There are two options: * Option 1 is to get a Paragard IUD up to 5 days after having unprotected sex. This is the most effective type of emergency contraception. Plus, it keeps on preventing pregnancy for up to 12 years. Option 2 is to take an emergency contraceptive pill (AKA the morning-after pill) up to 5 days after having unprotected sex. DYK: there are two types of morning after pills. * Click the link in our bio to learn more. #regram:@mybodymystoryppil#EmergencyContraception#MorningAfterPill#EC#IUD#ella
The Trump administration's gag rule has forced Planned Parenthood health centers out of the Title X program, putting access to birth control, STD testing, and cancer screenings at risk for millions of people who get care through Title X. Feeling good about your body, enjoying sex or masturbation, and being comfortable with your sexual identity are big parts of being sexually healthy. Having a healthy sex life means knowing what you do and don’t want to do sexually and communicating that to your partner. 🎨: @ashlukadraws w/ @PPNYCaction#regram#sexuality#sexpositive#art
In 1989, 16 Black women published the first collective statement advocating for equal access to abortion. It was called “We Remember: African-American Women are for Reproductive Freedom.” Read more from @nbcnews at the link in our bio. #StandWithBlackWomen#ReproductiveJustice#TBT#throwback * Image: Clyde Gilliam / Women of Color Partnership of the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice

#regram@thesweetfeminist: "During 2019 state legislative sessions, more than 300 (yes, 300) bills restricting abortion have been filed in 47 (yes, 47) states. Nearly half of those restrictions are abortion bans (including those in Kentucky, Ohio, Georgia, Mississippi, & Louisiana) which effectively ban abortion before most people even know they are pregnant. These restrictions are intended to shame, control, scare, and criminalize people who need abortions. They are also meant to serve as a challenge to Roe vs. Wade, with the goal of restricting or banning abortion at the federal level. I had an abortion as a college student living in rural Iowa in 2013. I had to drive 60 miles to the nearest clinic and had to ask my mom for help with paying for it out of pocket. Even with these barriers, I was lucky to have access to the reproductive care I needed. I'm committed to fighting to remove these barriers and make sure abortion is safe and accessible for literally every single person that needs or will need an abortion. So, I've partnered with @plannedparenthood to say: #BansOffMyBody. Abortion restrictions and bans are intended to and do particularly harm people of color, people in rural areas, and poor people. We won't have them." * Click the link in our bio to tell politicians: Keep your bans off my body! #BansOffMyBody#thesweetfeminist#sweetfeminism#cake
"I’m proud to be standing up for Planned Parenthood as they fight for fair and equal access to reproductive rights. We cannot live freely and move fully in the world when our basic right to access the reproductive health care we need is under attack. Every person deserves the right to control their body, their life, and their future." —@billieeilish * Nearly 140 artists and musicians are coming together with people across the country to declare: #BansOffMyBody.
