let’s talk fat loss 💭 we are only 5 weeks into 2019 and a lot of us told ourselves that this year we are going to lose some weight. 5 weeks feels like a long time when you’re so focused on an end goal. i’ve been cutting for 5 weeks now and i’m happy with the changes i see in this picture. 🥰 however, a couple of days ago, i was frustrated. i decided to look back at my past 5 weeks and think about what i’ve been doing that may have caused me to feel rushed, disappointed or like i wasn’t seeing results quick enough. i came to the conclusion that i was messing up in a lot of areas: 1️⃣ i wasn’t resting enough (i ended up training for 2 weeks straight) 2️⃣ i wasn’t taking my refeed days seriously and allowing my mind to shift from diet mode 3️⃣ i was ignoring the fact that FAT LOSS TAKES TIME if you are currently working towards a certain goal I want to remind you guys to take care of your body! our bodies do not want to be in a caloric deficit! Our bodies do not want to be training seven days a week! If you are over training you are not allowing your body to recover and that is where growth happens! It is so easy for me to get stuck in a routine and go, go, go all the time without realizing that I am actually hurting my progress. Isn’t it ironic how training less and enjoying more food can actually help us lose weight/fat? I hope this reminded you guys (like i reminded myself) how important it is to give yourself the rest you need! with that being said, I am taking two days off from the gym every week, and scheduling in two re-feed days during the rest of my cut. 🥰 comment down below your current goals for this new year and how your last five weeks have gone!
