I just can't get over this lake...... I experienced how violent this lake can get in the evening, when i was the only person on that very day to return back to base camp, around 8:30pm. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• #mypixeldiary#igramming_india#instadaily#inspiroindia#indianphotography#incredibleindia#chandratal#photooftheday#official_photography_club#ig_masterpiece#ig_india#indiatravel#firsttravelindia#tales_of_india#yourshot_india#decathlonsportsindia#trekking#wandering#natgeowild#bbc#bbctravel#natgeotravel#insta#instatravel#ig_world#ig_worldclub#2018#aroundtheworld#himachal

It was the final day of Pin Bhaba Pass trek, when i saw the first house of Spiti region for the time at around 6pm and i was awestruck with the beauty of spiti with little village surrounded by high rocky mountains which has around 100-200 people only. The houses are constructed with boulders and the roof is covered with mud and straw to keep the house warm during winters. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• #alpine#storiesofindia#vscotravel#natgeo#natgeophotography#bbcwildlife#mountain#trekking#climbing#lovetrekking#wanderer#himachal#foxtraveller#explore#wanderlust#ig_travel#instaupload#travel#travelling#ig_worldclub#huffingpostgram#aroundthehimalaya#instaupload#newupload#photography#shotoftheday#instashot#bbctravel#himalaya#pinbhabapass#photographers_of_india

The second campsite towards pinbhaba pass which takes 5hrs of trek, Kara. The mountain straight across the river is known to abode of heavenly spirits who play various instruments during amavashya(new moon night) and before any natural calamity. The campsite is at a beautiful place between a lake on one side and river on the other. ••••••••••••••••••••••••• #alpine#infinitedetours#vscotravel#natgeo#natgeophotography#bbcwildlife#mountain#trekking#climbing#lovetrekking#wanderer#himachal#foxtraveller#explore#wanderlust#ig_travel#instaupload#travel#travelling#ig_worldclub#huffingpostgram#aroundtheworld#instaupload#newupload#photography#shotoftheday#instashot#bbctravel#himalaya#pinbhabapass#nevergiveup

Definitely looks mesmerizing waking up to this view after getting lost in dense forest the previous night on the first day of trek where the visibility of just 2 meter was available due to fog covering the jungle. We reached the campsite at around 9:30pm after we lost the actual trail and fear with controlled tears was the only thing that was happening to each of us because we were informed about the black bear and leopards encounter if we choose the wrong path. We walked for almost 10hrs continuously through knee length grass without bothering about anything because we had to reach the campsite as soon as possible before we encounter any carnivore. Back of our mind was chanting of every god's name to help us get out of this danger until we found the footsteps of donkeys and doing the guess work to lead us to the actual campsite. Hence, 'Never Give Up' attitude can make anything happen when we reached the actual campsite and pitched our tents successfully. I believe, this is one of a kind of risk taking and this is how one should overcome the fear. #alpine#infinitedetours#vscotravel#natgeo#natgeophotography#bbcwildlife#mountain#trekking#climbing#lovetrekking#wanderer#himachal#foxtraveller#explore#wanderlust#ig_travel#instaupload#travel#travelling#ig_worldclub#huffingpostgram#aroundtheworld#instaupload#newupload#photography#shotoftheday#instashot#bbctravel#himalaya#pinbhaba#nevergiveup

Continuing... The shepherd’s clothing was simple but robust. To protect him from rain and the frigid night air, he may have worn a mantle made of sheepskin, with the fleece turned inward. Against his skin, he wore a tunic and he wrapped his head in a woven woolen cloth. The shepherd’s equipment usually included the following: A scrip, or leather bag, that contained food supplies, such as bread, olives, dried fruit, and cheese; a rod, which was a formidable weapon, usually three feet (1 m) long with sharp slate embedded in the bulbous end; a knife; a staff, which the shepherd leaned on while walking and climbing; a personal water container; a collapsible leather bucket for drawing water from deep wells; a sling, which he used to lob stones near the straying sheep or goats to frighten them back to the flock or to drive off prowling wild animals; and a reed pipe, which he played to entertain himself and to soothe the flock. In return for the shepherd’s care, the animals provided the necessities of life—such products as milk and meat for the table. The fleece and skins were used as a medium of exchange and for clothing and bottles. Goat’s hair was spun into cloth, and both sheep and goats were used for sacrifices. #portrait#onehimachal#traveling#trekking#alpine#wanderer#wandering#instaupload#pahadi#newupload#natgeo#natgeowild#bbc#bbctravel#natgeotravel#insta

Shepherds are mentioned dozens of times throughout the Bible. The shepherd faced the ongoing challenge of teaching the sheep and goats to obey his commands. Even so, good shepherds took tender care of the animals in their charge, even giving them names to which they would respond. When summer heat set in, shepherds moved their flocks to cooler pastures on higher ground. For days on end, shepherds would work and sleep outdoors, allowing the flock to graze on the steep green slopes and spending the nights guarding the open sheepfolds. Each evening, the shepherd counted the sheep and checked the health of the animals. How i started the final climb? Well, waking up to sub zero temperature and then start walking towards the pass after breakfast i reach a point where the steepness is too much to deter anyone's confidence when i look up to see few of my mates already climbed the 70degree slope and encouraging me with screams that even i can do it too very easily. Then and there i make up my mind to shin up at one stretch through the snow and also cross the life taking extremely slippery frozen water fall. And Finally i did it with my courage and their(@sashankpanwar_@jagarchloe )motivation to reach the RUPIN PASS at 15,250ft(4650m).

It's morning and we all wake up to find our water bottles and even our diesel bottles are frozen, probably the temperature at night was around -8°C, and as i turn around i get this mesmerizing view of golden glare sunrise falling on the pristine mountain when i leave no time to snap the view through the mechanical lens! This is our last camp before the ultimate climb of 70degrees.
